One thing I think you guys arent taking into account is that maybe Colorado is suggesting to these players to enter the portal. If I knew I had a player on my team who wasnt going to get playing time, or would give us any depth, telling them to enter the portal is actually pretty courteous, instead of having a guy on your team mad he isnt starting and not giving it his all. I dont think all the portal entries are necessarily for negative reason, either from players or coaches. Just my opinion, two things can be true at once

Once again, you Haters have it all wrong. Bishop Thomas was kicked off the team weeks ago. The backup QB in this story is someone I bet you NEVER heard of. Neither have I. The other two players clearly saw the type of talent being brought in at their position as a signal to them to jump in the Portal. You can flip it however you want, but at least do a little research before you hate on the program. It's getting old.

It’s the offseason so I completely understand the teams who bark the most tend to get all the attention during the offseason, the difference is this you want calmness and besides your a 4-8 football team the last thing you want is attention.

A lot enter the portal. No big deal. Its part of college football especially, if the player knows they aren't going to get much playing time. Pretty sure coach has addressed this to the players. Just remember the grass isn't always greener on the other side. That saying is for the ones that should've stayed, but left hoping. We'll see where they land, if anywhere at all. Nah he just entered but he’s even been with the team all 2024. He was suspended and hasn’t been allowed to train/practice, participate in any team activities he’s basically been off the team since December

They invest in the talent they have Colorado can be competitive in the Big 12 in 2025. The Big 12 seems to always be lacking defense.

People, this is the newest phase of college football. And Coach Prime is going to draw the blueprint for them. The portal and NIL are the new rules. If you can't manipulate them you have no chance of sustaining a winning program. It's NFL-Light, and it's here to stay.
This is undoubtedly a very good point. You cannot compare today's crazy NIL/portal era to college football from even 4-5 years ago. It indeed is likely that Coach Prime is one of the few Power 5 coaches that is working this system very well. Only time will tell. Obviously.
