Not sure what you were on about at 3:30. Sand devil can't take debuffs when he's awake, and only becomes vulnerable to it when sleeping , it's been like this from day 1, and it's how we built most teams on. Bro you really got the memory of a carrot. lol

Didn't he say "unless the Sand Devil is asleep"? But yeah, only a slept SD can be debuffed. And her kit only would make sense if she sleeps him and with the same move transfers the debuffs. But if 4 other champs cut in between her A3 and her A1, he will be wide awake by that time :)

Doesn't damage increase with debuffs, so a champ that debuffs your team loads up them to be pushed on the sand devil? Isn't there some champ that debuffs your team for maximum damage?
For me the worst part with Chronicler Adelyn is the fact that she is a Banner Lords champion... We have gotten too many Free Legendary 7-day Log in Banner Lords champions now, When I started playing I got Ronda, this year started with Rathalos Blademaster, and now we get Chronicler Adelyn, I was so excited to see the new Login Champion and it was a 3rd Banner lords :(

her kit has to probably make more sense once sand devil gets reworked otherwise as it stands, she cant even be called an epic champion, let alone a legendary

Straight vault guardian for anyone who already has a Sand Devil team (assuming they don't break our teams with their "nerf"). Not having another legendary champ to book is a relief honestly.

Soooooooo; I see the logic here, and I hope I can persuade HH to see it as well; so if you build her fast, and accurate; she's going to land the sleep on sand devil; 1 debuff, then -SPD, and -ATK, is an extra 2 debuffs; giving you 9% ally damage from her a3; then the transfer on her a1 is another debuff, so 12%. Her a2 restores destroyed max hp; which is a Sand Devil/Hydra special; FK as you said, she doesn't make much sense there as DMHP really shouldn't be the issue in FK. Your whole point about staying away from Sand Devil until late-game makes sense, but with a champ like this makes it more accessible, which means you'll get acsended gear earlier; making for stronger champions, and pushing out progression a bit faster; the caviat to that is, Sand Devil still costs energy; so it's balancing is problematic to progression. I've stated, many many times, that they need to loosen the reigns on campain, mino, and potion keeps to make them more smooth for account progression. Otherwise, you just end up ignoring half of the game once it's unlocked for you, and that almost always feels worse than it should.
I just hope they dont make the aniri + damage champ not viable for stage 25.

i think they will prob make the lower stages easier to do so early game players can fight at least to like stage 15 or so without needing something like a godseeker team. because currently if you dont do that your not really gunna farm it at 100% without very specific champs.

There's a Maneater/Gnut/Crimson Helm strat for 25 that's 100% but it's at least 2min 30 seconds long. HH could do a video on that because it's pretty a budget option
With their comment about her A1 I suspect the sand devil will place a block debuffs buff on himself and some kind of debuff on your team when the sleep triggers on him.
They might also raise the hit counter while he's asleep by 1-3 hits to make it a bit more forgiving.
Yeah, would like to see a tweak to the A3 to make the decrease speed and decrease atk AoE, at least them she would have some good use cases in early hydra teams, something players will probably build earlier than a sand devil team.
It sounds like the Sand Devil will have block debuffs that need to be removed to sleep him after the rework. Her A1 could steal the block debuffs and let you sleep him. If this is the case it will destroy the Godseeker duo strategy unless you bring a way to strip the block debuffs.
That sounds like a buff to the boss then, unless they remove the '' immune to sleep '' part of his passive. Do not make this boss harder than already is
@@jhonniekravchenko643 Yes I think they will replace the "immune to receiving all debuffs except sleep" with some type of this boss has block debuffs buff that you will need to strip off. That is the only way her A1 makes sense to help sleep the boss, like Plarium posted, is if she can steal the block debuffs. That also makes the A3 make more sense because it will sleep through the block debuffs as well.
im thinking that they could add a little something to the sleep mechanic for hydra, like if the sleep is not placed places a provke for 1 turn. so she can be use as a sand devil and hydra champ for mid game players. pass this along to plarium hades
At this stage, it doesnt matter if her a3 is 100%. Unless they make is so it can not be resisted, you'll always be susceptible to the 3% resist chance. The reason Siphi is "queen" in this fight, is her sleep can not be resisted. So unless there is a change for Al-Naemeh to be unable to resist sleep, or they buff the a3 accordingly, she can sit on the sidelines with Gauis, Conelia and all other sleep champions
The big problem is that they don't sync release. They release an underwhelming champion than 3 months later release content that she's needed for. Or they do the other way around by releasing impossible content than a solution.
They should have timed it together. "There's new sand devil, but hey we are giving you a free champion that will solve the change "
The only way I can see a use for her, is that they adjust sand devil in a way that she magically fits perfectly into the new/adjusted mechanics, something like the boss uses a block debuffs on itself and without her you would need a remove buff apart from the sleep or something like that, along with dec spd and atk being crucial for the fight.
Im sure she'll help also with amius with the stealing off buffs and decrease speed/attack, if in the rotation. iron twins also for the decrease speed. Like some mentioned already would be nice for it to be all enemies but probably be counter productive with the fusion or something.
Sounds like the Sand Devil rework is going to be where the boss has a protected block debuffs while awake and you need stuff that can get around that... If so, I feel like that makes it harder to fight... Also not sure how on earth her A1 would be useful unless they make the boss self buff and debuff you.
Overall seems like a VERY niche champ (if she even ACTUALLY works well against sand devil in the first place) that's kinda meh everywhere else. The A1 seems forgettable, the A2 is laughable compared to Padrig, and the A3 needs to be an AOE to be useful against anything but single target bosses without adds.

The only way I could think how her kit could work is if the rework is that every sleep is putting him under for a lot longer, so she could sleep him and transfer the decrease acc he gives back to him So she would have 3-4 debufs from her on him, which would at least do a litle more dmg from her passive...
Her sleep either needs to be 2 turn duration or on a 2 turn cooldown. Cornillia places and she is an epic, just minus the extra buffs

Please wait and then invest in her especially if you don't have enough legendary books to spare, also most players don't go the sleep strategy as it can be resisted which may lead to instant failed run. I hope they buff her to help a lot of players

@@g0dx any debuff which is irresistible has 3% chance of failure in this game, that adds up overtime - hence people go for teams that can win even if a debuff fails once in a while, in other dungeons it often results in a slow run but here depending upon team composition it can be a fail, just wait and watch the content creators test her and showcase her, then let community also try it out, then once proven and clear you can invest based on results. No advantage in rushing in, best to let others do the trial and error! Then finally you can see results decide and copy them or ignore
Wait, you are hitting the "Horse" missions and telling me you don't have a Godseeker?
@@madman4649 never been "fortunate" enough to pull a godseeker, so I make due with what I got :) certain champs really seems to elude me...good examples of that it took me the looongest time to get a coldheart, maneater etc, they all came in due time but yah took some time to put it mildly...
If, for a second, we assume I didn't have certain champions (not that it isn't possible there may be a better comp she could fit in better than the chaos I currently use)
Sand Devil - obvious, also her A-1 could be exploited with those champions that debuff the team to throw poisons or the like on him to add to his damage taken and debuffs on him, on top of anything he puts out (I forget what he does I've been focused on fusions only basically for a bit)
Dragon - Throw poisons back at it if you don't knock down that bar in time, Decrease attack so it does less, heal the team (and if someone like Artak is on it - restores damaged HP even when he's not using the one skill)
Spider/Ice Golem - Throw back debuffs spiderlings/adds throw on you, decrease speed and attack, and of course healing is always good. May just need to take an extra second to target the main boss.
Hydra - restore max HP and heal (I know at least one head destroys max hp, decrease attack and speed can be useful, as can throwing back debuffs
Faction Wars - not sure if Banner lords has one of those bosses that gets block debuffs from an add, but when you can't take adds out fast - slowing the boss down and weakening it's hits will help a lot
Clan Boss - decrease attack and heal, also throwing poisons back at the boss and taking away his increase attack when applicable. Alternatively if you don't need decrease attack/heal - straight up use the A1 only to toss back poisons and all while in a poison set to increase damage the boss takes.
Look, she isn't insane tier like a Siphi, without some buffs she's never going to be what I'd call 'top tier' among supports that will hard carry you through most anything (Scyl), but I think she's better than you seem to be giving her credit for - especially for players who don't have access to certain champs and have to use whatever they got.
Ummm does her passive stack innately or do the debuffs have to exist for the multiplier, because i can see a broken mechanic if it just keeps stacking...

She's indeed a SD specialist.
Personally i live in SD the past weeks.
No dungeons, no fusion; energy packs and any evergy regenerated is spent in SD.
Problably with a team of gnuts, I can substitute Aniri/ Dreng.
She's free so i dont mind
Sand devil is the only spot I'd use her, unless they change her kit to AoE sleep and lower the CD on her A2 either normally to a 3 turn or add an extra book there.
Sound like putting her in frost or deflection would be a good way to bounce some debuffs, assuming that will count towards the passive (probably not) but would make the passive more interesting if so.
I think avenging set would actually be really good on her for a bunch of content
I'm actually excited to try and get Adelyn because I need help with Sand Devil.
Where this helps in Sand Devil for new players is allowing you to compete in Sand Devil tournaments. On my account there's only one guy putting in 300+ points and no one else but me is participating for the rewards. I guess they figure that can't do anything higher than stage 1 like me. But I do it any ways because right now I can get 56 points and win 2nd place. This gives me free ancient shards and now that we have souls events I've been aiming to get 300 points because it gives you more soul stones and its easier to achieve than doing something like Artifact Enhancements(which I fail at a frequently because every time I think have enough silver the game chews me up and spits me out.).
I think the restore destroyed max HP is the biggest part of her kit. Any content that has destroyed HP is a PITA because you have to either luck out with a high Miracle Heal soul or slum it with a Cure gear set as there aren't many options to restore it. I could see her having some utility there. Ash made a great point in his video about how her book situation sucks pretty hard. She's a Sand Devil specialist but her sleep is on a base 5 turn cooldown? Woof.
The A1 and A3 that deal with block debuffs has me worried that a potential change could include the Sand Devil getting block debuffs & breaking the aniri/ninja comp. I may be reading too much into it, but I'm going to pick her up just in case.

they say they made her a sand devil specialist but for that I would at least have like for her skill to place a sleep for 2 or maybe even 3 turns since there are so many champions already out there that do a 1 turn sleep and barely any that do a 2 and I don't think there is any that would do a 3 turn and for the passive I would have liked it more if it said something along the lines of allies deal x% more damage against targets under sleep debuffs or ignore x% if defense of targets under sleep debuffs
If they have designed her with the new sand devil in mind, it sounds a lot like when he goes to sleep he's gonna gain buffs and spit out debuffs. Which would make her ignore block debuffs make sense, and her a1.
i'm really curious what they are gonna change with sand devil. personally it's always bugged me that the only way they were able to make sleep relevant is make it act like a stun on 1 boss. i feel like there has to be a better way. maybe change it so it makes the affected champion target a random enemy on single target skills rather than the intended enemy or something.
Gotta say, this one will probably allow me to beat the Magic Keep... Maybe not an area of concern for late/end game players, but for early/mid game players (of which I am one) I can see the utility. Some control, some healing; I'll definitely be giving her a chance
i mean for me the sanddevil specialist doesn't make sense cause i can do it already very comfortable. But for players that can't to it, who don't have dreng or ninja or godseeker. It's actually very good. Specially since i saw what difference awakend gear for me had. I mean my account is 3,5 years in and i'm finally able to get some champs equipped like you before the awakend gear :D
I don't know if I agree with everyones sentiment. Yeah she's not great but her a3 is really good in arena against nehkret teams or teams with siphi. And it also places 3 debuffs so for sand devil it's 9 % extra dmg along with the reduction of the dmg mitigation from the passive
They community hates everything, which leads me to believe she will probably be pretty good, and I more than likely will use her.

My only question is we already have a few Banner Lord Freebies Blademaster + Ronda (i have 25 Legendary 5x Banner Lords, 5x Shadowkin meaning many other (6 to be precise) factions I have no Legendary (and 4 factions only 1 Legendary) why do the freebies keep coming in same factions
I've been playing just over 90 days now and having a Sand Devil specialist could help my account for sure. I'm only on stage 6 of Sand Devil even though I can easily clear Stage 20 of Dragon, Spider, Ice Golum, Fireknight. So Sand Devil is one of my biggest weaknesses, right now I'm using Gaius for a sleep but he's not even booked so not very effective.
I agree Sand Devil for a log-in Champion is not too exciting but the Sand Devil tournaments seem to always have a nice chunk of Immortal Soul Coins which I do highly value as a new player. I'm always worried some good Legendary Soul will pop and I won't have enough Immortal Soul Essence. Even recently skipped a Deacon Armstrong soul because I wanted to make sure I had enough for Sun Wukong's 2 star soul which I did actually get... it worked out but feels really bad having to miss a soul for Deacon.
So anything that helps me get more Immortal Soul Essence I'm ok with. Not sure how big a help this new Champion will be though. If it only helps me do 1 or 2 stages higher than I'd say this Champion might be a bit of a let down for most players.
Hopefully she has really good base Speed, HP, and Defense since she is such a niche Champion.
Your account seems a bit too early to be considering Sand Devil imo
As that's more of the place to farm whenever you actually have top tier artifacts.
Most people tend to not touch it for nearly 6+ months when first starting out, as it'll low down your progression in all areas of the game.
But if you're looking for another Sand Devil specialist, that's also way easier to book than a legendary~

Making her default skill transfer 1 random debuff and also ensuring that it's a debuff spread of any debuffs transferred would open her up somewhat. Maybe also upgrade her passive to include an "At the start of this champions turn removes 1 random debuff from all allies and transfers 1 non-CC debuff to this champion."
i could use the help with sand devil. i'm stuck at like level 12, and i can only do level 9 consistently. i would like to get to 25 on sand devil and shogun for the dusts so i can improve my gear.
My account could use a sand devel specialist tbh. I have Blizaar, aniri and Ninja but can't make the Ninja/Aniri duo work and I can't get the solo blizaar to work. Both is because I don't have the awakening level required (You need at least 5* on blizaar)
I am happy with the champ being a sand devil specialist as it will help the people who are srruggling as that is a good way of helping mid tier players bridge a gap as acending gear and getting more out of each piece is a good help
aoe decrease speed and decrease attack that doesn't need to hit paired with a big heal that restores destroyed hp is not terrible for hydra. Not in a late team comp, but for early to mid game that would be nice. I would definitely use her in my second or third team.
I'm all for more tools for sand devil, I'm struggling on the later stages with the duo teams.

she could be used instead of gurp in hydra if someone is missing him :) 3% for each debuff, 2 + 1-2 from A1 or poison/curse set its extra 9-12% of damage for your trunda or rathalos, but she is not crazy...
she doesnt have an aoe and the way it reads makes me think you only get the dmg boost on 1 head not all.
I dunno there's alot of people who can't do higher level sand devil. If this (and rebalance) helps those ppl then good for plarium.

Dont get the dispair. Most of the community (inc mid and even to late game) cant hit high level SD due to specificity of kit reqs. Its useful now there's Chaos ore. Providing a free login for this is totally sensical. In addition will be useful in Hydra with Destroy HP restitution and heal plus transfer Poisons on A1. Nice if A3 was AoE though. Maybe just reign in expectations a little, and dont hope for pan-game changers each new champ, else it breaks the game
If she helps you in hydra your hydra teams are weak...she's a 5 star chicken at best, but she is free

Made my own sand devil team 90+% reliable. Duchess ( lead), aniri ( only 2 awakened) , chaagur, krisk, acrizia. Duchess aniri and chaagur are crucial. Hope this helps/inspires at least one of you guys.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to build her only for Sand Devil. But her Healing Script, give her a Miracle heal as well. She be a strong healer against SD

Decrease Speed and Decrease Attack places through the Fire Knight's shield? If that works (and I don't know it does) she's actual good there
her a1should be attacks all enemies and a3 all enemies to make her somewhat viable anywhere else other than SD
this may be obvious but i think Plarium is trying to push early players to be able to run sand devil ; gear accension is really important and can give you and insane boost in power with the right rolls- just my opinion
Mukstalker is better sleep champion than her 😅 and you can farm him from campain. 👍🏼

Sand devil isnt unimportanr.I really Had to equip Godseeker Aniri with my best Regen and Immortal Gear and even Then i Had to use the Grand hall to make IT Safe with Gnut.
So If a Champ enables me to Beat Sand devil in a decent time,IT have enourmus value

Still waiting for a login reviver. Not sure how but Ive ended up with almost all of mine being force infinity which is a huge pain.
I'd imagine once the sand devil rework comes she may be more viable but even if not they would hopefully buff her in a future update.
Kinda lackluster to me, I was kind of hoping that this champ and the one we will be voting on would have a cool passive when on the same team. But i guess she may help with making a faster team for SD but that depends on the changes they are planning and if Aniri and Dreng/Ninja wont be viable.

Unless I misunderstand, her A1 DOES hit. And I think the idea is that she transfers the debuffs that she picks up from SD back onto SD during his sleep mode.

I think this is a fantastic champ for alot of us. Not many of us have the super whale teams for Sand devil but she opens the door to create teams that aren't 4+ min. If you have the whale champs obv this champ will feel weak sauce, but if you don't have the whale champs she does alot to help get a faster speed.

If the a3 were an AOE I would have loved her immediately for hydra and most places the 5 star soul which we saw in the other video she would have been a 8 or 9/10 but because it's single target I find her 5 to maybe 6.5/10 and if it were an AOE on the a3 I would have used her everywhere (probably everywhere)
i really hope the community vote fusion has a skill cooldown option as thats what i really need. i dont have yumeko,kymar or krixia. running 2 renegades just isnt viable
I don't know... Early on, I all about damage, remembering how Kael felt OP hehe. Trying to imagine getting excited abt a support character that "does nothing" > sounds like a lot of fun for new players 😂. And Sand Devil specialist... That sounds like moving ppl towards dungeons that are coin rabbit hole 🤷♀️. Early on... Ascending 4* lifesteal geer 🤔
The question for where I would use this champ? If possible get a dupe and use her just for faction booster. Feels useless compared to the other free champs as mentioned.
Sand devil isn't an obscure place for a specialist, at all.
It's one of the hardest spots in the game to get a working team if you don't have Godseeker + Ninja (which, lets be real, covers all new players and a /lot/ of older players as well). It's also a /very/ relevant place in the game. Even midgame, if you care at all about PvP. If you can't get speed+speed boots, you're at a huge disadvantage. If you can't get maxed speed+speed boots /or/ stoneskin yet, you might as well not even bother, honestly. I actually have had ninja and /just/ got godseeker, because void drops are horrible..... This can't be a rare problem, though.
Not sure this champ is the magical fix people need. She doesn't seem a whole lot better than Muckstalker. But we'll see how she does once that patch plarium talked about "a little down the road" comes to pass. Plarium obviously has an idea of what's in it so, honestly, if they say this champ will be good at it then... I'm inclined to believe them.
I'll be happy to reeval this message after their patch. But they've officially said their patch is coming. And I wouldn't sleep on this champ now just because the patch hasn't come yet. I can think of more than one fusion champ I'd have picked up if I knew "oh, hydra provoke (or insert something else) was coming".
Kit looks alright as a specialist, but the design of the character is sweet so I'm willing to be a little generous.

Easy fix to make her viable: she duplicates all debuffs for 1 trun. If there cannot be a duplicate (ie weaken, Def down) places one additional poison. Boom. Lego-worthy
Glad to have another free champion like her, esp. since I'm new and she will help me in faction wars and sand devil alongside Rathalos. However....she coulda been an epic and I woulda been happier, but her being a leggo makes my reception of her feel lackluster.
Her A2 maybe could have had Increase Defence and Strengthen or Increase Attack and Crit Damage. Her A1 have a guaranteed leach against bosses.
With that heal can be use as a 5* suport for faction wars, also slow and dec attack on boss. Not worth 6* or books

Sounds like they are going to remove the "blocks all debuffs" ability and replace it with a protected or even unprotected block debuffs that she can bypass or steal
A lot of players still have not received compensation for the x15 bug last week!!!
Also, I think she will only be decent in SD.
As someone who cant farm higher than level 13 and is now stuck on the level 4 Ascension mission, this cant come soon enough. It would take me roughly 9000 energy just to ascend these 5 artifacts to level 4 😅
Please give us a Sand Devil specialist. No boss is more frustrating exept Hydra.
Seems like she'll also be good at Hydra since she bypasses block debuffs.
They said that in a few patches, they will rebalance sand devil so more champs can play against it.
I run SD with Godseeker and 6 star blessed brimestone Dreng, 3 mins with 3 food champs. I can't see this champ bettering my SD25 team. I don't even see how she helps with cursed city or any other comtent in the game. Unless I'm missing something, she'll be a vault champ for me. I hppe that the SD boss changes don't ruin my team comp!
