    The idea of voting for skills and passive is fun, but it doesn't quite work. Firstly, we don't know the multipliers. Defence or support are almost always going to sound better, because damage is harshly reliant on the multiplier. Secondly, we won't know the next skills and pasive until later. Once you get to the end you're like "Knowing all these options, I wish we had gone with A B and C instead".
    Then there's the fact we don't know the cooldowns or upgrades. Some skills if they upgrade to get another 25% on the debuff... That makes a world of difference... We only get a small bite of the info we need.

    I picked the defense counterattack because you can have permanent provoke for Hydra. It synergies best with the rest of the skills we picked.
    If we picked a skill that had poison then I probably would have gone support. I just didn't want to rely on another champion to make his full kit work.

  • @KresnikOSRS
    @KresnikOSRS 13 дней назад

    I think his kit is very hydra focused with a slight utility for clan boss and pvp potentially. With that being said I like the idea of the counterattack to allow him to be a mischief tank and head of decay provoker. I think in the future Raid should predetermine Damage/Defense/Support and then have us vote on the skills for one of those type of champs (if they want to do this again). The damage skill set just had little to no synergy with the other parts of the kit so once the A3 was decided it became a filler spot. I also think you are right that the color probably subconsciously played in people's decision making.
    Also I'd love to see a showcase of Wixwell in a non-Brogni CB team when it's available to you on the test server. I joined after the Brogni fusion and it's really hard finding 2 turn block debuff on a 3 turn cooldown so would love to see how you would build a team that has to tank the stuns.

    I went the poison damage boost too. I think people are trying to pinhole him into a single role way too much. That poison damage boost makes him useful against any Doom Tower boss who takes poisons; against DT waves especially when you have a poison exploder; against clan boss; and even Sintranos. The single-target provoke just isn't nearly as useful a skill IMO.

    (rant) The synergy of this kit (on paper) is perfect for hydra aside from the A1 not being a double aoe instead of double single target. I seriously fear that they will nerf or cap the A2 (post release) for the same reason they are nerfing Torgon's A1 and/or Yannica's A3 and for the same reason they nerfed/capped Emic/Brogni and Corpulant/madman... because they don't want people to reach the levels of damage that "unbroken/working as intended" champs like Trunda or Yumeko allow. (pause to let that sink in as 100% sarcasm) This is getting out of control, Plarium are obviously and naturally powercreeping (its the natural progression) but they wont commit to it fully and far too often have nerfed fusions/champs that work as intended but not when used in unison with other champions (especially surrounding the shield mechanic eg:Brogni/Emic/Corpulant/Yannica/Torgon) which inevitably leads to nerfs and massive capping of ability's. Who exactly is doing the pre-release play testing at Plarium??? Anyone??? Why is it that the "bug" is never noticed or fixed before we get a preview on the test server from which most players base their decision to spend (time & resources or $)??? all signs point to baiting and I am not the only one who is sick of it!. if this champ looks and performs amazingly on the test server and then there is any change after release they will trigger the biggest quitting/conversion to F2P of spenders they have ever seen.

      They have never been good at playtesting their own game. Look at how many times they nerfed tormin. They always talk about finding synergies between champs but when we find them, they nerf it. He now doesn't bring any poison and would be completely reliant on another champ to bring any poison, granted that isn't hard but we didn't go that route. To have a random skill doing something that doesn't work for the rest of his kit wouldn't make sense.
    It says the first counterattack he gains cannot be removed, but what about the other ones? Can they be removed? If so that would be really annoying in hydra
    edit: Also, I see him working better in hydra than anything else and poisons arent a good strategy in hydra. Perhaps with that passive they could be by killing the heads faster instead of worrying about your block buff debuff going on. But typically poison sucks in hydra as its so easy to get a lot of poisons on the heads and therefore harder to get the needed debuffs on the heads.

I understand why you chose support. The only concern I guess I'd have is that it says it puts CA on at the beginning, it can't be removed. and then it places CA at the end,,,, it doesn't say THIS ONE can't be removed.. So I guess that makes me a bit nervous, if we've gotta build him with more resistance than we might have which takes away from other stats. We'll see won't we.

    What's the point of picking the Support passive when he can't even provide the poison himself? the main reason I choose the Defense is because, it goes properly with his A1, think of it as those champions who Provoke you when you hit them, I would love if we got the Offense A1, but the Defense isn't too bad for Hydra and probably controlling some enemy in other areas.

  • @anthony7697
    @anthony7697 13 дней назад

    I'm really disappointed that they went provoke A1 over poisons, especially with the CA winning. I mean - dude is always counter-attacking every boss of which most it's great to put up 5% poisons, or other champs in waves where it's useful, even in Hydra it may not be as useful but still has some. The provoke there's what - 1 head and I think 1, maybe 2 DT bosses you can provoke with a 100% chance then, and a 50/50 (maybe 70/70) chance on any counter-attacks or A1's for waves that can have champs like Roshcard, Gorgorab, or other champs that can either rip buffs away or lock him from using his skills with their A1. Even if in Arena your basically hoping they don't have a buff ripper and you land the provoke on a team that can't just 1 shot yours. I feel like if people were thinking - it was a very narrow picture they were looking at, not a bigger picture of where he could be way more useful in more places. But that's just my opinion.
    And I'll still take it with the CA over damage boost, the boost is way too situational, and dependent on keeping 5-6 of a debuff up at all times that can be a headache to really make use of, and has way more benefit for a really end game player who's baseline hits are like 100k, or at least over 40k cause at 40k 5x hits will match one Warmaster proc as far as the added damage (unless it also boots warmaster/Giant Slayer) against UNM CB with Decrease DEF and Weaken which is way easier to keep on than 6x poisons. Hit back on CB that can proc Warmaster or any other boss, 2 hits if the FK gets his shield back up and attacks, way more useful for way more players.
