Wow! I saw this when it aired back in 1979 or 1980!! I NEVER forgot it and I'm so glad to see it again. The tv show was called DOROTHY and it aired only four episodes as a summer replacement. My grandmother had taken me to see Annie when I was ten and I fell in love with Dorothy (a theater queen at 10!) so this was a pretty big deal. Thanks SO much for uploading this.
Is this the lady who was Dorothy's old schoolgirl friend on golden girls???? The episode where her friend came to visit, they used to prank each other and compete against everythimg
Nothing against Dorothy Loudon, but look at Irene Tedrow, who I remember as a terrific character actress. I don't know that I ever saw her sing and dance before seeing this clip.
Even the set looks the Facts of Life. It was just too much like the Facts of Life. Perhaps if it been set in a different setting or profession. You can’t deny Dorothy had talent. The premise was just way weak.
Dorothy Loudon's career was always in the shadow of Carol Burnett. Carol does a better job of Hard Hearted Hannah, bur Dorothy was better as Miss Hannigan.

People said Dorothy didn't like working with kids (though these actresses were young adults) and was not a friendly person to work with.
