I like the extra Kindle signature storage. I keep my books in hand. I want to make sure that I have everything available in case I lose wifi. It is part of my emergency plan. In case of earthquakes, flooding, or other natural disasters, I will have the comfort of my entire library 😊 (I live in California)
Of course, we have a solar power station and lots of solar batteries, so recharging isn't a problem.

Try and compare it to the Voyage if you can! Voyage is made so much better, its easier to hold and lighter too. Bevelled bezels are better than flush because 1. crispier text 2. less glare 3. less accidental input presses on screen. If Amazon want to make this water proof they should offer the flush as an "extra" at a higher cost and make a normal bevelled version for a cheaper price. You also did not address that horrific on/0ff switch on the bottom. Nor did you mention the nasty drop shadow on the flush screen that doesn't happen on the bevelled ones. All in all, a great review. Thank you.

Good Joke, Kindle Paperwhite 2021 is infinite better than the outdated voyage, 6,8 screen, much much better battery life (10 weeks) the e-reader with more batery life, light, dark mode, warm light, page turn animations, processor very fast (20% more than the oasis and paperwhite 2018), water proof, usb-c conector, 2x storage (4gb vs 8gb or 32 gb in signature edition).

Okay. I purchased the new Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition and I have the Kindle Oasis 10th Gen. Both devices have the new Homescreen update. I am having several issues. 1) My ebooks will not download. Many times, I have to make several attempts to download a purchased ebook. The ebook will show it is downloading, but after the download finishes, the ebook did not actually download. I have to make an attempt 2-3 times before the ebook actually downloads. 2) Sometimes, my ebook covers do not download. I have to remove the ebook I downloaded, then the ebook cover will show, and then I have to re-download the ebook again. 3) The Paperwhite SE is very slow. Many times, I have to wait 10-15 seconds for the device to register a touch. I have better response times on the Kindle Oasis. 4) I had WiFi issues in the beginning. But that seemed to have worked itself out. The WiFi icon would show only one bar of WiFi. After several restarts, the WiFi icon shows all WiFi bars now. 5) This has nothing to do with the software, but Amazon stupidly placed the power button at the bottom of the device. When reading, I am finding it difficult to hold the device or change holding positions comfortably without hitting the power button by accident. Ugh!!!

Have you tried restoring the device?

@@TruthReviews Yes. It did not correct any of these issues. Also, I have another issue. When I download ebooks to my Paperwhite or Oasis, it produces multiple copies of the same ebook? I only need one copy of each ebook. I don't understand why there are multiple copies of the same ebook on my Oasis and my Paperwhite SE.

😂😂 that was downloaded before he acted that way. I asked Amazon for a refund after the slap. They said no.

Are they basically the same aside from wireless charging, autodim, and storage?

They are very similar. If i could get the gen before it for cheaper I would strongly consider it.

USBC is actually co made by Apple, so iPhone will eventually switch over to USBC similar to their MacBook and iPad line

USB-C is not "co-made by Apple." But since European regulators are imposing it as a universal standard in Europe, yes, Apple will switch. According to The Guardian, "New EU rules require all phones sold after autumn 2024 to use the USB-C connector for their charging ports."
