Mark you should absolutely interject more in the shows. You have great stories 😂 I understand it might be difficult if the guest is really talkative. Best show on YT keep up the great work!
I missed the live stream, but I wanted to offer my congratulations to Dave and his team for his new release this week. The videos I've seen and heard demonstrating the Plex sound great! Excellent job!
look. your podcasts/streams are often 2+ hours. Do you think anyone listens to you two talk for 2+ hours if they don't like to hear your stories? We love em, keep em coming. Talk about what you want to talk about because your personalities are why folks listen to you guys.
Great show guys. The Cloud Lifter was originally intended for ribbon mics but quickly found a use case with low output dynamics like the SM7b is what I was told.
Great show guys! Been binging on watching Plex videos the past week. Marc, wife and I took a trip to Portugal a few months ago. It was expensive as shit but we still talk about it and look at the pictures daily. BTW, awesome show with J. Root last week.
I got a stainless chassis for my headfirst cali build. Cobalt drills and pilot holes are the only ways. So hard to drill through. 😂 great show and congrats on 30k subs. Congrats on plex release! Any pcb board for fender style amps to reccomend?
Don't ditch the smutty naming convention for your amps Dave, I love it. After all, the interpretation is in the mind of the reader, those that complain it says more about the way they think if you ask me.
Anytime I see someone clutching their pearls and getting offended over something silly like an amp being called "brown eye" or "pink taco," you almost have to assume they've got some stuff in their search history.
i'm every day more amazed by the relentless music people talking about technical issues they never had, with absolute ignorance of electronic and mechanic knowledge, world would be better if musicians took that time spent arguing on TGP or FB to actually practice and get better on their music instead,we are full of good gear but not so many original acts like in the past.
Ive been JUST OBSESSING over the new ppimv in the plex. I guess Dave cant just give it way but id live to know more. I build amps for myself and apartment vol is a quest thats nearly breaking me hahah. I gotta build some 1 watt amps i guess. I bought the Ultimate Attenuator recently. Its a re-amp and its solid state . Sounds good but you cant puck lightly for clean tones.
Prob best ran through a POWER STATION or OX Box - Don't get me wrong, this is a great amp, built by one of the best in the biz, however the PPIMV as good as it is, struggles to recreate the sonic experience you get from cranking the Power Section which is true for any non Master Volume amp - I would say that's why most of Daves demos run the PLEX on 10 through a POWER STATION or an OX / PETE THORNs demo mostly ran the Master Volume on 10 / Michael Nielsens demo also mostly ran the amp on 10 through a load box / Leon Todd mostly on 10
@riskybusiness6202 true. I'll get my hands on a power station after my next amp sells. Kind-of a must. I do enjoy Lar-Mar ppimv and heard Dave talk about this new way to do a ppimv, it has me intrigued.
30k subs. How is it not more yet? Love tone talk as a resource and entertainment.
That Rick Beato story cracked me up!
PS I normally listen to the podcast but the feed hasn't had any shows added to it for months.

Thank you!
I agree! I think Mark adds a lot to the show! Especially when it gets super nerdy not all of us are amp builders lol
Can we get a video of Marc playing guitar through his awesome amps one day please. Like, ALL of his amps!
Sure! I’ll post some clips one day soon

Always Love the Punish sessions, thanks for another one Marc and Dave!
Nearing 30k subs yay!!
One day I'm getting one of those Friedman plexis ❤
Mark, keep sharing your stories!
Will do!

Marshall's biggest fuck up of the last 20 years is that they didn't throw money at dave to take over their amp line and make whatever he wants.
Dave makes fantastic amps. Absolutely fantastic. But they aren’t Marshall’s.
Sleeper amp. Tried a Fender Bassbreaker 15 W amp a few years ago. Sounded cool

I leave mine wired to my ribbon, to keep phantom off it.
Rick and Marc had a I am Brian of Nazareth moment

Cool episode. Picking up a Plex for sure.
1:20:43 I did this exact thing, learned drums and double bass and only use it for cardio.
Great show.. 🔥

No questions, just an awesome amp

You are stupid aren't you?
Hello from West Virginia. Any thoughts on potential pros and cons of installing a 12" speaker in a 70s Vibrolux, assuming the work is done properly
The Jim root episode was excellent🔥🔥would be awesome if You can get M ick Thomson on next? Mick is very informed And a interesting listen!🤘
+1 to have R. Aiken on. Great amps!!
Peter Arends is CEO and designer for Bad Cat Amps. He would be a perfect guest for ToneTalk, given what stuff he designed when he was at B.A.D.
Peter is no longer with Bad Cat
@@tone-talk ah, thanks for pointing that out, I hadn't noticed that he left Bad Cat already

I agree. Gear is cool and can be inspiring. But good songs and good bands matter more than any of this:

@@soapboxearth2 Sounds like a plan, and the PS will also manage your time based effects perfectly
I listen to these while lifting weights, it works!
Can you make a jj combo amp in a 50 watt format
What’s news on Phil X new 3rd Power amp?
Bruce Kulick, Johnny Monaco and Marc Ferrari on the show?
