What is your favorite mule/horse on the video? What is your favorite cow/bull?
The first one you were on. He/she is a nice looking mule. I personally like the brown and white longhorn cow.
The paint horse and big joe

I like Holstein and red angus cows
They all look the same to me.
That paint horse is a savage. I can’t believe the way it threw itself into the drifts.
Never knew they could get that high up in the trees. She’s just hanging out relaxing lol. Also the land looks gorgeous !
Probably hiding from those mules. They’ll tear him a new one!

The deep snow wear out a horse or mule especially when your making those kind of miles. That cat knows not to mess with those brahman cows.
Hollsteins got more brains. But all bovine are stupid!
Seems everybody has heard if the snow in Buffalo Newyork. But I grew up in a dairy farm 60 miles south of Buffalo where we got 10 times deeper snow .Comes across the lake hits the plat 500 ft up and dumps the snow sometimes 30ft deep.
Nothing moves in snow that deep. So cows not in barn are dead! AND THE SHIT PILES UP FAST WITH 200 MILKING.
THE BARN IS LIKE A SAUNA-HOT MOIST AND A WALL AWAY FROM-30.
That view tho!!!! Behind the mixed herd. I literally felt my soul get a hug. I may physically reside on the East Coast but my heart and soul lives in wild country.
The mountain lion:
“Don’t mind me I’m just chilling in this 40ft tree, no big deal. I’ll just stay put and watch a good meal (won’t even bother with) pass by my very eyes”
The best part was the guy yelling at his dog to Shut Up! Glad I'm not the ONLY one that does that!! :)

I never realized mountain lions would chill that high up in the trees. I figured they would be just above head level 😂
I've never heard of a mountain lion chilling in a tree top in winter. I wonder if it was there to get away from a bear. I had some hunter friends that treed a mountain lion for several hours once. Weird.
That's a bad ass Aussie though working in snow that deep.

I caught two lions on my trail cam that sits on my property just off one pasture area. So far they haven't bothered any of my stock but this seems to be the year for lions. I found tracks of 3 separate lions up on a neighboring ranch this past weekend. I put the trail cam short vids of the lions on my place up on my channel. We don't have nearly as much snow up here in NW Montana as you guys have right now. Glad to see you getting your stock down to lower pasture.
AndyTheCornbread We had a game warden put a road-kill deer out to attract a lion and instead got a picture of a golden eagle killing and eating a buzzard that wouldn’t get out of the way.🤷🏻♂️

Love your Big Cat footage in a tree. Joe's Valley is goregous. You have a Ranch up there... Lucky Dogs! That aerial video is one of a kind right there....looking down at your livestock on the road. You boys have been fun to watch your adventures. Best part is your laughing attitude about all your colts and wild cows. I'm blown away of the good clean language and good temper you show with livestock. Many others swear like a sailor anytime the animal doesn't read their mind. I liked the paint horse. It reminded me of my paint I had for years that recently had to be put down. I'm sure He/she is not nuts. Maybe was a bit confused. That guy was kind of all over the place with them reins. 😄😄

That was great, I think the cougar knew he was out numbered and figured it best to stay put and just chill lol. That was quite a trip, worried about the bull when you left him, didn't know if he was far enough away from the big cat. But he was there the next day so it worked out. In your opinion do the mules do better in the snow than horses and do they tolerate the cold any better? Just curious. Thank you for sharing this experience I was able to enjoy a jaunt in the snow without freezing my bum off. Getting too old to deal with it. But your videos are always great and make me feel like I'm there and part of it , so again thank you so much. Cant wait to see next one. Be safe and best always Rusty

A mountain lion that weighs a couple hundred pounds in"t gonna be able to take a bull that probably weighs in at 1800 pounds or more and can literally kick its head off.

@@kaylabrown4699 How's a hungry and weak mountain lion, that only weighs a few hundred pounds, maybe, going to take down a bull thats nearly 2,000 pounds.
Those storms have many cattle all over deep in the snow. That must have sucked to trek through. Nice vid man keep up the good work.

Man I really do love watching some real cattle horses (and mules) do their job! Its so much more fun to watch this than the in-arena shows where their fancy quarter horse runs one cows and thats it. Seeing equines in real work is the best, thanks for posting these videos man!

I´ve done this kind of work, at my stay in US. In Austria we don´t have this space, no lions, no cattle to catch, no horseriding like this. I miss this work. Glad to see it. And tell your dog to shut up.

Yes, late reply but I am new to the channel. We have almost all black Angus cows. Once we were moving cows to our corrals and some of the neighbors calves (Herefords) got in with them, long story short they are called "The Disease" I thought that would be kinda funny to tell y'all.
