this is now just a 20min long ad with some content in between. too many good cycling podcasts out there to put up with it
Really love your show. I'm a 61 year old - woman former racer (mostly college level in California) in the 80s. Started racing as Lemond was entering the European scene. I was so happy and proud when you all came on to the scene as there were virtually no Americans that could handle Europe...Andy Hampsten was the exception between Lemond and your generation. I worked at Amgen for 15 years...the company created the Tour of Amgen - then became Tour of California. Lance - there was a huge mural of you on the exterior of one of the Amgen buildings - it was stunning. I saw many stages of the race in those days. I look forward to the TDF every year with Phil Ligget and Bob Roll and now this Show!! Thank you for your amazing racing and entertainment - so impressive - those of us who know what it takes to race really appreciate your natural talent + plus the training and sacrifices you have had to make to race at your world class level. Thank you so much for everything you contribute to this amazing sport. From a fan of yours - all of you - forever!!
Try Chris Horner too
OMG...did you get paid by these doped riders or what?

Great show. C'mon, you get road rash from Matteo too? Can't beat it. Good stuff guys.

This content with Matteo is gold! 🎉
Just love interviews with Matteo. Such a personable kid.
Awesome to have Matteo online. Best biking podcast. 🙂
Really amazing that Matteo did so well with his injuries. In addition to the bad sleep it also sucks out a lot of energy from your body. I guess the fatigue is due to the fact that the body is in repair mode healing the injuries. Tough man, Chapeau! 👍
Fellas knocking it out the park with having riders call in from the Tour....
Best cycling podcast EVER!!! 👍👍👍🏆🏆🏆✌️✌️✌️✌️
The coverage and guests list this year is outstanding, much appreciated all- Vive Le Tour 👌🏽 Keep up the fantastic work 🇨🇦
Lance and George are hilarious as usual- great segment with Matteo
Kung putting his chain back on while riding. Crazy!
Oh wow. With a content like this where you add mini interviews from the inside, this is then extraordinary and clearly no. 1 cycling show. Thank you
Matteo is the future! What a gentleman
What a scoop with Matteo
Scoop,..Ice cream,..Good one !
Shirtless fun begins at @7:00

Lol
Thanks
😂😂😂
I love Matteo! 🎉❤
I hope he rides the Vuelta this years with Sepp. That could be awesome.
@@scottsefton294 I agree that adding Sepp would be aces. But I only watch the TDF so maybe next year. Team Visma seems to be a warm and wonderful team.
My hat's off to Jonas... Coming from an accident to performing at this high level. I wonder how much better he'd be had he had a clean build up?! What an athlete!!!
Mhm, what an ath...dopper. As a junior he was below average, was getting dropped constantly (in words of a Dane who was w/ Jonas on local teams) but since Visma got him we got a champion. Wait, it gets better. Roglic a skier who turns into cycling champion under Visma, Wout becomes a sprinter who can climb, Laporte the EU champion, Jorgenson becoming a champ of his own. All under Visma not before. 😂😂😂 Wow, amazing athletes. Now let's look at Tadej. Sure, maybe he's on something illegal but even as a junior he was levels above his age group already. Last year rode w/ a wrist that was healing from fracture and nobody admired that. If anybody would even dare mention it they must have been making excuses for him even though riding with fractured healing wrist is much more difficult than the ribs and collar bone and you can heal punctured lung super fast if you don't go by traditional method. In a week or 2 you can breathe normal if you bypass the regular healing method. But try road vibrations and squeezing brakes 5hrs a day for 3 weeks straight and see how that hurts w a wrist that was nearly shattered (broken in multiple places w/ wrist already having an extremely complicated structure and function to begin with). It is amazing how ignorant this world had become. I often wonder how you guys made it this far. It's luck I guess because when $hit hits the fan 80% of you won't make it past the first week of it.

Matteo gets the "Honey Badger" award today.
Thanks for putting that circle on the screen during commercials. It lets me know where I should jump to pick up the show again.
You guys. This is the best post race commentary show. Big thanks. Keep it up!!
16:00 While everyone acknowledges the severity of the crash to an extent, there's one thing I haven't heard (besides from Jonas himself in the Danish press): he's fortunate to have *survived* that crash and his pulmonary injuries. He could have died, full stop.
God I love this show and I love this channel and watching it develop since it’s origins has been GREAT
Good stuff guys! Thanks!
I'm really impressed about how much Hincapie gets right about cycling. Remco doing well on Tour, Girmay for this stage that he won, etc etc. Amazing
Incredible rider, he will podium in the Tour in the future
Awesome show, thanks so much!
Omg love this content
Matteo is amazing…I remember years ago early on Movistar his interviews were always great and super smart cycling mind
Let’s go!
Great first week ,thanks lance george jb and rest of team for these pods, its just fantastic stuff to watch after each stage
Love the show.
Love the show!
LA got hosed by the public back in the day. He won 7 in a row doing what everyone was doing. GOAT.
@chadmorris7116 Dude not “everyone” was an arrogant bullying vindictive prick tho ..get real bro
Yes!!! please, to the Team TT !!!!🚴♂🚴♂🚴♂🚴♂🚴♂🚴♂🚴♂🚴♂
Vingegaard’s last time trial before today was first stage of País Vasco
Great show. C'mon, you get road rash from Matteo too? Can't beat it. Good stuff guys.
You guys are fucking legends. ❤️
Always love the TTT. George was the master TTT captain...
Lance and crew , apart from the cycling content here you guys do real justice to your sponsors . I love the opinions of Johan Bruyneel . Keep up the content
@vivekrbs Kinda annoying they’re always selling shit nonstop and ya know L.A. has to get a piece of everything ..the Trump of cycling constantly selling shit that is ESSENTIAL..no it’s not
Bolch told me a good Mechanic story: Eastern Europe stage race and "Mexican" Wrench is walking back with spare wheels in the final TT, Police in their language attempt to foil any robbery attempts and Wrench looks for a friend, sees Ekimov and starts yelling "Eki, Eki!!" to get validation, one of those weeks where there are planes to catch as soon as the riders roll in, always happy to see someone who knows us when there is not a dinner to sit down together
Julien Bernard made my day!
Great show as always. As for Lance's idea for high-tech TT bikes -- I say no, the TT should be mano a mano. It's Not About The Bike, as Lance knows. But Lance's idea would be great for the hour record. The crazier the invention the better for that. I think it would generate more public interest.
George and his contacts can start a Netflix series...
It is interesting that Remco commented that he thought it was a tall order for him to keep up with Tadej in the high mountains.
Lance TT bike brand was Litespeed with Trek stickers on it
“If they can make a bike go fast…” @ ~30:00 I have never once thought of that when buying a bike. I have only thought, “how much bike can I get for not enough money”
If you would just see the way of EPO. It was all the rage during the nineties. With that, you can also afford to look at the speed of the bike only. Max out all parameters, for that sweet and satisfying spank in the Alps.
Jonas said post TT that last year he took 7 minutes out of Pog in 2 stages in the mountains. Tough talk good for him.
Their ads spiel sucks (especially since we know Daddy Lance is flush), but they always have the QR code up when they're spieling. So, fast forward until the QR code disappears.
I wish there were longer time trials. 50-60 km
A French guy in his last Tour wins the first stage... Vino keeps up with Pogacar despite being off for a month... Now Cav breaks the record... seems more a WWF story line than a TdF...
Just for the record regarding Kentucky. Louisville is the sister city to Marseille and named after King Louis XIV. So not far-fetched to have Versailles, Kentucky. Was a great question about Cav. Love the show fellas!!!
Maybe let the unlimited TT be a separate competition like an exhibition day at the tour. But I love the idea!
You guys are the best. I wonder who we'll see tomorrow as special guest lol If you guys can get Uncle Geraint Thomas lol that be great
For the TT, they should have a small camera with a screen on the handlebars, so they can keep their head down, and still see the road ahead.
Well, the Boomstick was there, but they still didn't use it. I agree Love the Team Time Trial!
Remco seized wheel bearings! So fast that he thought flat … but culprit was in swollen bearings? 🚲🚀
When people ask me if my cup is half empty or half full....I reply I'm thankful that I just have a cup 🍵
I totally agree with the f1 analogy. I don’t know of any vehicle innovation that didn’t come directly as a trickle down from f1. The manufacturers would benefit from this as well.
I remember Big Migs TT bike i believe it was designed by LOTUS. McClaren and Ferrari have designed road bikes. i'm sure they would come up with interesting designs. Just a side note to JBs mispronunciation of Versailles, KY. In the bluegrass state we don't pronounce any town like the damous ones. On the other side of Lexington is Athens, prounounced a-thins.
Armstrong
You Musta visited Eritrea 🇪🇷 one day
He wasn't just missing the shirt, that was buck naked. To add, Matteo almost won flanders but faded in the last 25 km.
Plus Lance aired out the pelota lolz😂
Lance! it's a misunderstanding with the weather from your part all the time! 65% of rain is not 65% chance of rain but 100% of rain on 65% of the covered/reported area!
Where do we submit our answers for the new ns1
When are we going to see WVA? Dude has been almost invisible this tour aside from the sprint a day or two ago
The top 4 did very well today and kudos to Remco, he isn't the UCI ITT world champion for nothing. However i do think that the coming stages in the mountains are defintely going to change the standings, theres still a lot more of this tour left
Agreed! Remco is always great in the first week.... but then....
Great show! Been watching it this year every day even though I’m still kinda pissed at Lance 😂. I wish you guys would have touched on Tadej’s time after wearing the Tour’s skin suit instead of his own after your discussion yesterday about how much his team-issued suit would help shave time. If I recall, wouldn’t his suit have saved him 1 sec. p/km? That means he would have won the stage right?
Jonas last time trial was just 2 or 3 days before his brutal Crash.
Ver-sails, Kentucky.....
beat me to it. No palace but there is a castle.
It looks like the designers of the time trail helmets for EF might have been fans of "Space Balls".
Lance rode a Litespeed in the 99 TT.
Super interesting story. Thanks for sharing I thought it was a trek
Kevin Vauquelin is definitely one to watch.
The TT bike discussion is interesting. Who is buying a UCI compliant TT bike? Maybe the UCI standard should be any TT bike that meets triathlon rules. The manufacturers should like that and maybe more athletes would participate in organized TTs
A time trial is supposed to be the "race of truth" that is the purest test of a rider's ability. It's not supposed to be a test of bicycle technology. Lance is wrong about making TTs more like F1, with more emphasis on the machine than on the man. I would argue the opposite... that specialized TT bikes should be done away with entirely. Riders should have to use the same bike in the TT that they use in every other stage, and also the same helmet. That would level the technological playing field for all teams and return the TT back to its roots as the "race of truth".
the TT, would become a pay to win situation,
Isn't a TTT a very "short" day for TV? It's basically 18 groups that depart 3 mins apart and the whole stage is over. Maybe that's why they don't want do it.....🤔
Lance got a cold, must be all the supplements ))
Great to hear from Matteo! He's working hard and doing so well at the tour, he can be forgiven for not putting clothes on. Hope he enjoyed his "ice cream" 🍦
Stage 15 is what will decide this tour.
So they just call it mustard in Dijon?
Formula 1 has budget restrictions for development and testing. So, UCI would have to implement similar
You need some duoderm on that road rash.
Why not use recumbents for TT? If you go all out then they should be a fair game!
Hey George, Piero Martín Hincapié Reyna is on the Peruvian National Futbol team, related?
I wanna know what that "ice cream" was
Whats in the ice cream?
JB says, Austin Powers bowl blaaaaaaaaaa
Matteo is really my favorite. Wout was my number one, until Matteo started.
visma's helmet is too much. it totally shroujds the shoulders. i think thats highly unfair
They look like Calimero 😆
It’s a one where you better win if you’re gonna wear that ridiculous thing! 🤭
Only unfair if it breaks the rules. It doesn't.
Well if you listen to this show then you’d know the rules are pretty arbitrary and some enforced and others not. The bottom line is where does this end? When someone tech company says you’ll save 5 watts if you attach a parachute to your competitors bike? Maybe a boat anchor will cut the competition in half
I don't undestand how movistar let this guy go. he could of been the future for them
I think he wanted to go because he knew Visma had the budget and had the vest tech. Movistar could never surround him with the best talent either.
Get Conan on the podcast for some TDF coverage. He talks about biking on his podcast.
mvdp tomorrow????
Sunday
So I found this chanell today, listened for a couple minutes, really liked it, then found out that this guy is Lance Armstrong (I am new cycling fan) so asking you guys, how can you watch it knowing that he was dopping using every possible shit in the word, asking, cause I really enjoy it, but can't separate the fact that Lance is sitting there :D
Watch the Lance 30 for 30. It will explain that EVERYONE else in the pro peleton was doping. If you didn't do it, you were done racing. Since the UCI either couldn't (or wouldn't) do anything about it, if you wanted to win, you literally had no other choice... From 1991 on EVERY Tour de France winner was using EPO (and pretty much every other top finisher). Most of them even confessed too, but the UCI (and WADA) singled out Lance and threw the book at him. The others were allowed to keep their palmares and one was even the longtime DS of a World Tour team. Google "Mr. Sixty" (Bjarne Riis) to see for youself.
Everyone was doping, what Lance accomplished is still amazing and we all recognize what he accomplished and what he did for the sport of cycling in general.....
@@user-yd4zf9ef7j I respect that
You just proved your pig ignorance. All the top riders were doping with EPO long before Lance did. For many years it was part of the sport, and doping of some form has been a part of pro cycling since its earliest days. In Lance's era you either doped or you abandoned all chances of winning, and the UCI secretly condoned it. Lance played according to the accepted rules of the time, simple as that.
bring out the Boomstick Lance quit slacking!
Don’t forget to subscribe to the home shopping with Lance
Do we want to go faster? I think the UCI should require riders to wear protective clothing.
Double whammy of decreasing injuries during a crash more padding and be slower speeds with less aero
Ps nobody wants to see American football padding, but something to at least prevent road rash would be great to see
Visma tells Visma things: we calculated to lose 5 minutes. So, Vingegaard is the secret winner of the tt. Blablabla
Or something like this. If Visma, obviously, don't want to tell anything than they just shouldn't.
Instead of telling predictable team propaganda bs.
Doper. How many lives/careers did he ruin again?
Chain fall of because of the motor(electric).
Love the show. But I have to ask, why do you guys insist on mispronouncing Pogacar and Vingegaard’s names? Everyone else pronounces those names the same way except for you guys..I don’t get it. Someone help me understand
Man, I’m not buying what UAE and Tadej are selling.
It’s getting a bit ridiculous to dominate in every discipline and race that comes your way.
It’s not like his competition is partying all winter and hitting the smorgasbord’s at the casinos.
Somethings beginning to smell off, and it ain’t the fish in Jonas old fish packing plant.
