Initial Purchase: Players must first buy the base Cobalt Katar for 150 heirloom shards.

@@Asphodox I worked it out to be around £480 including the base but that’s for 6 universal heirlooms that are also customisable in comparison to a normal one that’s actually a really good deal it’s only £120 if u buy it from an event and don’t get anything else buying it from an event will unlock you all the customisation of whatever ones out for that event so if you want just the one it’s the same price as the normal ones but if you get all 6 ur getting a deal

I find that the price is good. Ur gettinfa heirloom for all ur characters that has infinite customizations. Ur not forced to get all of them. Other heirlooms are 400$ each and it only works on a single character without any customizations
You cannot purchase the White/Purple Katar, each of its parts unlock for free when you unlock all other Katar variants for that column.
I just rolled heirloom shards twice today I bought 100 boxes just to try my luck after 30 I got the first 150 and then 5 boxes after I hit them again and got another 150
there are 2,058 different combinations between all of them. you can get all of them for around $230. That's even better than buying 2 normal heirlooms.

the amount of shards you get in the bp is honestly just a slap in the face. Great i can buy a battlepass recolour if I complete the next 5 bp's thats only 15 months away! and since the katar costs heirloom shards its unlikely that your average player can even buy any of the upgrades

I don’t see why people are so angry over these things, I don’t own an heirloom either, but if a game company wants to make their COSMETIC items expensive, so be it. They don’t affect gameplay, and are usually only visible during short points in game anyways. It’s the same logic of buying a crazy skin for a character, of which you’ll only ever see their hands. (Unless a 3rd person pov occurs) technically only gun skins would be viable to buy since you can see those 24/7 (it being a gun game after all)
If you don't see a problem with a game cosmetic being hundreds of dollars, then you are simply a moron. No cosmetic in any game should cost that much

If its expensive from 100-300, people would buy it less due to the price, but the people who WOULD give the company good money since its more valuable and therefor a “flex” to own. As is most heirlooms and skins on any games are usually just flexes
True but when majority of players engage in that and actively buy it rather to support the game or their own pleasure it's still a problem and as the consumer and customers of the product we can complain about it and ask them to tone it down a bit with these omega overpriced skins imo
They're lowering the value of the standard heirlooms so much with this. They don't come with all the fancy customizability or death boxes

Know honestly selling it for 150 shards is amazing id buy it for heirlook shards plus each battlepass you get 10 exotics so each battle pass you can customize the heirloom so its not fully money!

Ok ok. Why is everyone complaining it doesn’t even affect gameplay? It also looks trash so why would anyone buy it in the first place. Unless you like the way it looks, which I respect but seriously it’s just like any other heirloom but with more recolors.

Not worth crap. At the least the Buster Sword had novelty. This event system is bad. (I’m one of the few who doesn’t mind prestige skins and heirloom recolors, mostly since I spend my money responsibly on this game)
So instead of this being a way to get free universal heirlooms you can customize, its just another layer of monetization to shield away the only hope of free heirlooms we had...

@@yaboi3710 no, that's not how it works. When you have a unique deathbox equipped, everyone you eliminate will have this unique deathbox, but when you die, you'll have a deathbox that a guy who eliminated you has equipped, in your case, the default one

In no way am I supporting ea but I don’t think people realise that the katar a universal hl is the same price for the base as a normal hl there are like 30+ legends with there own hls being £120 they could have charged well over £2000 to make the price equal as buying one on every legend plus’s on top of that you get the 1st stage of one for having the bp and you don’t need to drop £120 for every single one it’s only £40 for a whole new hl once you have one they have been more then generous with thease prices if you think they are overpriced don’t buy them simple but ea have been really generous in comparison to there normal monetisation making them this way at the end of the day they have a business to run and everyone is crying over the price and yet most of you will buy them anyway
