- GUARD RETENTION (PART 2)
Guard retention is one of the most important skills to continue to train in that the guard is what allows you to be offensive off of your back. While most spend time training guard retention at the early stages, such as at the feet and the knees, it is also just as important to understand how to regain your guard from late stages where your opponent gets past the knees to the hips.
In this video, we will explore how to regain our guard and re-attack from the leg drag and leg weave positions. While these are very compromised positions for the bottom player, there are still ways to improve the position and create opportunities to re-attack in the midst of recovering a guard
