      Hi Carl just wondering are these headaches caused by trapped nerves as I get the in my neck into my shoulder a lot

    • @ChiroCarl
      @ChiroCarl  7 месяцев назад +2

      There is a potential impingement going on with your symptoms, but without examining you, and knowing your history, it wouldn't be right to speculate. My best advice is to book in for a check-up with a professional near you, ideally, a chiropractor or osteopath - who can expertly assess you and advise further.

    Speechless! I’ve been having these weird headaches that start at the base of my neck and affect my ears and eyes for weeks. I’ve been at my wits end so much so that I just recently scheduled an appointment with an ENT to help me get a handle on it. I did these exercises and could literally feel spasms I’ve been having on one side loosen up and the pressure decrease.

I was very surprised at the intensity and length of those episodes. I read books, consulted with professionals, tried every exercise or stretched I could find on RUclips.

    I had a very severe occipital headache last month for around 15 days …. Did ct and its clean my show neurologist and he said its due to muscle tension however I am suffering such pain since class 7 as far as I remember. I used to play cricket and got hit on my head several time during these days. I thought this pain is related to these ball hits. But my dr after examining the ct confirmed me that thats just co incidence. I also had a very severe panic attack the day I went to the dr. Now the pain is not that frequent but I am still afraid of the overwhelming situation I faced. Pray for me whoever is reading this comment.❤

    I have a long history of bad left-side headaches. As far as I remember, they started about age 10. I got them when watching films at school, home or television. I’m 64 now.
    I’ve gotten them every night for years, but they haven’t been that much of a problem, because I could just go to bed and they’d eventually subside, with or without a pain reliever.
    In the past few weeks, they’ve been coming on in the day time. I do landscaping, and I thought my constant use of a large weed trimmer, coupled with a recent heat wave and virus, was aggravating an already existing condition, but now I’m just not sure. I’m taking about a week off, hoping I get over this virus, and giving my neck and shoulder muscles a good rest. I do feel an occasional twinge and strain in my left neck muscle. Throughout the day, they can come and go. Sometimes they get pretty brutal. Lying down and napping helps a lot, sometimes making them go away completely, though I do feel just a hint of them.
    As I type this, it’s flaring up, which typically happens with being on the computer, and often other focused work, like driving.
    I hope I can learn something from these videos, but even watching them at the library is a challenge, because it aggravates my condition, which is almost unbearable.

      @@ChiroCarlwow appreciate the super fast reply! So what seems to happen is, after sitting at the computer too long, I notice the sub-occipital muscles are really tight. So I start digging my fingers or thumbs in to the tight bits and self massaging or holding/pressing in to those bits. Somehow, this sometimes seems to trigger the headaches and the pain spreads forward to the rest of my head, just like you describe in the video. How is my self massaging somehow making it worse? Am I causing those muscles to lock up even more or something? 😅

    • @ChiroCarl
      @ChiroCarl  5 месяцев назад +2

      First you have to ask why qrecthose muscles getting so tight and angry? Simple answer comes from your statement, at a computer, most likely connected with posture and the repetition of modern lifestyle. Ask what the brain is asking the muscle to do? Stabilise your head, and try to stop the pressure. If you release the muscle, then continue to sit badly and move badly, at the computer, watch TV, reading a book driving a car, or on your phone; then you are re-aggravating the same muscle group - which will likely cause even more tension and/or just make you feel worse. Definitely get yourself checked by a Chiropractor near you - they can help with all of the above.
