I had driven once a 930 turbo and it was a lifetime blast. The feeling is really raw and it’s scared the shit out of me. Literally no any kind of driving aid just the pure power. Once you got behind the wheel you are on your own completely. This car is so simple but at the same time it’s way ahead in time. Belive me if you go out to the public road no one gonna try to mess with you. 911 turbo was always and will be my ultimate dream car.
Ngl i heard the 930 is quite unsafe as a car bit screw it i think it is really an blast to drive it hope one day i get the chance to have one of my own
My neighbor had one of these. He used to track it and drive it up through the canyons. It was in great condition and never had a dent on it. One day I noticed a thin trail of dark liquid to his drive way. He had crashed it on a barrier when getting grocieries and got a leak on the oil cooler. All it took was being out of focus for a fraction of a second while the boost was building up and he spun out. I understood then why they call it the widowmaker.
Great video. I sold my 1977 930 Turbo several years ago and I've regretted it every single day. I'd give anything for one more drive. Thanks for giving me that feeling again.
This and the FC3S has a very special place in my heart, something about them just feels very raw and pure in an elegant way. Hopefully I'll own both someday
Filming so good it looks straight out of a high end movie. Keep up the fantastic work, this is absolutely brilliant stuff and it definitely will make people come back for more
I had a rough month and was dreaming about driving a car like this for days after a long time again. You are THE visualization of my dreams ! Thank you for driving, editing and sharing !! Happy Christmas :)
One of my favourite childhood memories I have is seeing a full on bypass blast street race between a tuned 1967 Ford Mustang GT500 super snake and a Porsche 930 turbo 12 years ago on the way to the NEC arena classic car show. Was with dad going to the event and was already super excited as I knew there was going to be some properly A list cars there. Both new and old. Even though the show is for classics, they do auctions there which allow cars of all ages in. I distinctly remember seeing a Bugatti Veyron in the action area that was chrome in the middle and all across the top and chrome blue on the sides. Anyways, I remember pulling up to a roundabout close to the arena and seeing the Mustang at first in the Eleanor colour scheme from gone in 60 seconds. I pulled down the window and the driver must have seen me as he revved it up. Then a few seconds later I was then treated to hearing it go blasting past, full throttle, high revs not wasting any time. Perhaps he was late to the show. Then a second or two behind it I then was doubley treated to hearing a gleaming white Porsche 930 turbo go flying by, also at high revs, foot to the floor in pursuit of the Mustang. Both sounded absolutely amazing. Was such an amazing car experience for me. Particularly as I also loved playing racing games and there was a race happening right in front of me. Remember it clear as day 12 years on and will remember it for as long as I live hopefully.
Safe driving. Giving much respect to the beast and reaping the benefits. That feeling stepping out of that car must've felt like coming off a cloud of glory.
Their cars are still having their golden age simply because they’ve kept their same roots in style and performance. Sure, modern Porsches have a ton more technology now, but it’s still a raw car that you know can kick ass when they want to. They’re track monsters.
They had to go to 4 valves per cylinder to get power and meet emissions, those 4 valve cylinder heads get extra hot so they must be water cooled. Basically emissions and the power needed to make the new massive size car go fast killed the air cooler.
Probably the closest way I’ll ever get to experience a 930. For those single guys out there, buy one before you get married and have kids, because if you think you’ll be able to buy one after, you’re high AF.
I'd say this "looks like fun" but I already know it fun- I have a 944 turbo I use in mountains. Maybe best not to publicly post videos of speeding videos. Public display of offenses doesn't help - ask Donald Trump.
The video is one of the best I have seen so far, and I have seen a lot. You put a lot of afford to make this. Really appreciating that. Nice scenery, too on the St. Bernard Pass. What kind of microphone are you using? Mine sound gets always "crispy" when it gets over 100 dB.
Make sure to also watch the film: ruclips.net/video/fcHSlTOUL1A/видео.html
there should be more videos like this, just the car and the road. No shitty over-commentary or loud background music.
Amen
Yellow bird on Nurburgring. The ruf rt
Agreed.
Notice no putting his foot down during the corner. He is driving it carefully.
This is why I gave up on Top Gear years ago.
@Israel Alex Yea, been using Flixzone for years myself :)

It’s only a “windowmaker” on 1970s tire technology. Modern rubber makes them very grippy.
Did he come out alive?

It's alright you can buy a 3.3 1979.
The real turbo...
I've watched this over and over again and sometimes with my eyes closed the sound is even better
Yeah man I am obsessed with this car
This is perfect. I was looking for a 930 video that would let me simply enjoy the beauty of the car without some guy ruining it by rambling on.
Seriously cannot get enough of this car. SO amazing.
The 930, a living legend.
How much kids was dreaming of this car.
çhief had ine dad too gun druve car fur car 930 turno ninck fari 308 gt furst vsr kids jsd 1980
I don't dream to have the 930, but rather the more lethal and powerfull 964 3.6 Turbo
This and the FC3S has a very special place in my heart, something about them just feels very raw and pure in an elegant way. Hopefully I'll own both someday
I don’t know how I’ll ever afford one of these but these cars make me feel sick in the stomach just looking at them (in a good way)
I must buy one
930s are reasonably affordable (compared to other classic 911s) you don’t have to get an original turbo car. You can modify a regular 930.
Perfection, the only guy iv seen in a while to nail the old movie feel.
The sound is so nostalgic for me it reminds me of GTA San Andreas.
It's a sound
Its the sound of the zr 350
I can't wait for my dad to get his 89 Turbo back. The memories of sitting in the back of a burning hot black 930 in Italy are unmatched
Who remembers NFS Porsche 2000?
Loved using this car in that game back then, with the preset bright red
They should remake that game
@@possibly8180 I was a big fan of the beige 911. Probably the only car ever made that could pull off beige, it's that pretty.
@@CavalryDraw45 I remember that shade of beige too, made me think of coffee.
Man, machine and road in perfect harmony.

driver has big balls to drive a 930 like that with a cliff on the side...size of Jupiter!
Fun Fact: This car's sound was used in multiple vehicles in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas most notably with the ZR-350
Yeah bro😃
That's why i come here !

great video with a great sound! it reminds me a bit of the beginning part of the italian job
How have I just now come across this channel. It’s like an automotive lullaby.
excellent video. man & machine without all the new technological gadgets as of today. pure analog driving pleasure

What a fooking lovely machine. Just pure driving pleasure, no bullshit electronics.
You can visually see it sticking to the road like super glue. Right to the point where it "almost" doesn't; Thanks to the driver.

Finally someone DRIVING this beast not hoarding it in their garage collecting dust
Thank you for this video. It's perfect!
Widowmaker 💔
That hiss though

Brilliant Porsche All The Best Of Health And Everyone Else.
pure love, I tell you from the heart
The sound is the Porsche 935 Moby Dick of Project Cars 2.
That’s excellent 👍🏻

this video is very underrated !

Beautiful practical turbo growl. Of the times Porsche would growl, Ferrari’s and Lamborghini would sing.
yes tuats rihht
This car makes me want to cry sometimes
This guy's has a set of balls on him to drive the Widowmaker at those speeds on a canyon ☠️
I had a 240z with a L28 turbo engine swap - gt35r turbo - full exhaust - oddly enough sounded just like a 930 turbo.
Were you running EFI or triple carbs?
hudfir yiu
IMO, the 930 and 935 are the best turbo Porsches made.
What a Driver what a car
This is the acro mode with crazy rates in driving.
Great sound, but man, understeer, then oversteer. What a tricky car to drive.
yes it is fsri 308 gt to kids drive thse 1980 car fyrst csrs
I´m so wet to get my 930 Turbo 3.3 next week.... It took 30 years and 1x GT2 and several GT3´s to find out that this is the real machine!
gid for yoy
F***ing brutal.
How did you do to get this typical 70's onboard footage look?? simply terrific
If only Cyberpunk 2077 sampled this for the in game car, they butchered the sound in game, I came here to cleanse my ears.
They got the right car they just butchered it so badly

Very dangerous car but wonderful,
I went for a few rides to school with my friends dad's 930. It was so scary that it would be considered child endangerment today.

The turns on the road make this even more dangerous since the engine in is placed the the mid-rear of the 930
