  • When it comes to recruiting, it’s important to be proactive. Here are some tips on how to start the recruiting process.
    SUMMARY
    • Research and build a target list. Student-athletes should research the different division levels and visit a team’s roster to find their true athletic and academic fit - www.ncsasports...
    • Play at the highest level possible: To accurately assess a recruit’s ability to compete in college, coaches want to see them play against top-tier athletes.
    • Excel academically. The NCAA Eligibility Center determines the academic eligibility and amateur status for all NCAA Division 1 and Division 2 athletes. Understand the requirements to stay on track - www.ncsasports...
    • Create a highlight film. The best way to secure an in-depth and in-person evaluation is by sending coaches a highlight video. It’s a quick way to show them a snapshot of your skill set - www.ncsasports...
    • Be proactive. Start by sending an introductory email that includes your online profile, highlight video, academic information, upcoming tournaments/camps you’ll be at, outstanding athletic achievements and personal interest in the program. Then follow up with a phone call. Even though coaches won’t be able to communicate directly, you’ll get on their radar and express your interest in the program - www.ncsasports...

    Yes it's important to get out early but it's important to go with the right time.... Easily talk to coaches way too soon...that's what your failing to point out

    What if I’m a junior but don’t have the film because of my injury I also have a 3.75 gpa currently

      It will be key to get film ASAP. If you're unable to get game film, look into creating a skills video.

    What age is it good to start emailing college coaches, and making an ncsa profile?

    • @ncsa
      @ncsa  4 года назад +3

      The youngest you can create an NCSA profile at age 13! As for when you should start emailing coaches, it really varies. If the student-athlete is playing high-level club or varsity sports and has a video, then it's not too early to reach out. If they only are playing rec league sports and doesn't have a video, it may be a bit early to start emailing coaches, but you can still be doing research into schools!
