the whole ukraine defense strategy is absurdly unprofessional
hello?... whatever gave you the impression that western ukrainians are the sharpest tools in the shed?
1. UAF gone into this by shelling/suppressing DPR LPR (demanding self-governing) = offensive
2. the declared war-target was to occupy crimea - offensive
except building strongholds to "punish" DPR-LPR - UAF seems not preparing strategical & operative defensive preparations
... nonetheless the "improvised" UAF resistance during phase 1 (russian manouver warfare) was impressive ... perhaps most of these career combat troops are dead or crippled by now
Two years of attrition war forced by Russia started to reap the fruits... To patch the hole in the front near Kharkov, the Kiev junta is making holes in two equally hot hotspots, Chasov Yar and Ugledar, and what is much more important, the Kiev junta "spent" units that had in the depth of the territory! If Russia comes up with the idea to carry out an airborne division on the territory between Kherson and Nikolaev, who will oppose them!?
Just like the Wehrmacht, that the Ukraine admires so much, had to do in the latter half of the war. Forever plugging gaps by scraping away forces from other fronts, thus creating new gaps. I think probably the only thing that saves Kherson is that Russia does not have the means to rapidly land a division of paratroopers or marines there.
the french foreign legion, the mercs and prisoners the nato regimes send there, the polish, the baltic states, but after that I doubt anyone will be delusional enough to set foot in what's left of ukraine, unless they have a death wish.

@@Fighter4Street You're asking a logical question to what is essentially an emotional driven affair for most Ukrainians. There is the hope that things might get better. That the Wests wunderwaffen will finally deliver a game changer. That the West may intervene militarily (there's a reason why they attack Russian cities, to provoke the Russians into doing something that will bring in NATO). That they can inflict so many casualties on the Russians the Russians will rebel against Putin. There's probably intense hatred for the Russians too and if not a belief in victory a desire for revenge. And probably fear of the Ukrainian secret police and Neo-Yahtzee thugs.

Troops travelling from one point to the other are not operational, moving troops from Kherson, Ugledar and Chasov Yar to Kharkov are "lost" moves (if you consider it from a "chess" point of view).
Now, from what I understand, the Russians in Kharkov are not so many (like 50K, according to Ukrainian reports), where are the others? Attracting the AFU to Kharkov, in the North East is setting up the perfect grounds to take Kherson-City back and start moving to Nikolaiev and... Odessa. Then we see.
yeah i think kharkiv offensive is a bait to mass troops in kherson ( they have the new railway built close sooo i guess they can supply a lot of troops in a short time now)
I still think Kherson-Odessa offensive is not possible right now unless Russia has 100-200k reserve troops in that direction.
How many Russian lives were lost in the Kherson withdrawal? And you think they'll go again? They'll drown in the Dnieper. Very bad strategy. It's all positional still so these incursions into Kharkiv region are most likely publicity stunts anyway. It's nothing like 2022.

Morning dudes. Fox News earlier made an interesting point regarding the Ruskies Kharkiv offensive - namely that the Ruskies have so far only deployed a relatively small force - maybe 5,000 men, meaning they have tens of thousands of troops just in this sector alone available for bigger things. Seems to me dudes that this limited Ruskie attack has two purposes - firstly to establish a buffer zone and secondly to force the Ukies to weaken their other fronts by sending "competent" troops to the Kharkiv region. Clearly both objectives are being fully met at low cost to the Ruskies. But the big question is - seeing how stretched and short of reserves the Ukies currently are - what will the Ukies do (what can they do?) when the Ruskies launch an even bigger assault maybe in the Sumo region?
By the way guys Fox also mentioned that Brit warmonger Boris Johnson's former top aide only this week described Ukraine as a "corrupt mafia state" - sure got that right.

which aide? thanks if you'd be kind enough to mention who mate.
Russia now takes the week points of Ukranians. The very much stretched frontline cannot be defended in all directions by Ukrain. Soon it may be easy to build a new army south-west to be put in Odessa direction.
Frankly, it makes no sense for Ukraine to defend Kharkiv and Odessa. This is the stated minimum, which the Russians are going to liberate in any case and at any cost. Resistance will only lead to the burning of thousands of lives and will have no effect on the end result.
I agree
A very useless and unnecessary war. Secretly promoted by 🇺🇸
@@NPSpaceZZZ Given the success of the ukrainians on the defensive and the extremely slow pace of advance for the russians as a consquence, I would say it makes perfect sense why they would defend Kharkiv and Odessa.
Russia's best chance to win this war is right now. Once 2024 is over, things will become way, way harder for them in pretty much all regards.
Time will tell if this Kharkiv offensive will grant them any significant result at all. Highly doubtful at this point, but hey, war is unpredictable by nature.
@@lepetitroquet9410 What success? they've been depleting their forces all across the frontline while the Russians bombard them from the safety of their positions. The advance has been slow because they only move forward once there's barely any resistance left. It's not about territory, it's about resources.
@@lepetitroquet9410 What you don't understand is that Ukraine is finally running out of reserves and this slow pace of Russian advances will quickly change. Ukraine looks like it is getting closer to collapse as they are losing ground much faster than ever before.
When Ukraine had reserves they can keep sending them to hold the line, but now they have ran out and will have nobody to send so the collapse should happen much faster.

The tables have turned since 2022. Now it's AFU that's facing manpower shortage, and Russia have the manpower advantage. @@michaelh878 There was also the issue of stopping the shelling of the eastern provinces that voted by referendum, according to Russia, to join the Russian Federation. This is why the Russians refer to these areas as the Donetsk People's Republic and the Luhansk People's Republic, as opposed to their provincial labels. Really, it seems most beneficial for the Russians to keep Crimea, take Odessa to secure the Black Sea, and stop when they've fully secured the new people's republics. Word History of Attrition
The earliest meaning of the English attrition related to spiritual repentance was borrowed from the figurative meaning of the medieval Latin etymon attritio: "hardship, tribulation." This figurative meaning stemmed from the earlier uses of attritio that refer to bruising or wearing away by rubbing-two processes that, when applied to the body, can feel like tribulation. One obsolete and early use of the English attrition referred to the breaking or crushing of tissue, and was used in medical contexts.
The newer senses of attrition are little more than a century old. The common phrase war of attrition refers to a sustained effort to steadily wear down the defenses of an opponent, with the result that they are rendered weaker and less effective. From this sense comes the still-later meaning that refers to a reduction in numbers by a gradual and natural "wearing down" of an organization's ranks through death, retirement, or resignation.

-Kharkov- Curse of Gonzalo Lira 💥
"U.K. Foreign Secretary David Cameron speaking of Ukraine yesterday: "They have no problems - I was there the other day - their morale is still strong, they are still inflicting appalling casualty rates on the Russians. If only the Russians could see how many people they are losing."
Cameron: another clown. How have these clowns ruled us for so long?
Visiting Nato sugar daddies are told and shown whatever keeps them sugaring.
Both sides are mostly ethnic Russians, this means that the Cameron's statement is kind of true
😂😂😂😂😂
The UK is a joke. It no longer has a functional society
War
why ukraine even think of holding on, just because washington wants to give them money for it.
That's what this war is all about. Money. Money for the MIC, hunter and Joe, zelensky and pals, the us Congress, EU big wigs and is rael. Its always about money.
Odessa is going to be a cake walk for Russia.
Now if Russia had an army of 40 thousands marines ready in Crimea they could take back Kherson and Mikolaef and possibly Odesa
All in good time. It'll come to that. Odessa is not "possibly" but "certainly". This is the absolute minimum.
Another time.
How do you know they don't? 😂
How many defensise lines does Ukraine have?
None. They are all decoys.
Its seems like zero 🤣
Yes !!!
The lines are disappearing up Zelensky’s nose.

Greetings from Holland, we are not all brainwashed. Get home save brave Russian hero soldiers 🇷🇺❤️
What you consider "heroic" on people forced to the frontlines by poverty in their regions? Marauding and destructing lives of people who lived there whole their lives?
