Unless there is a recording or other evidence of the verbal contract, there is literally no way of getting it enforced. It would just boil down to a he said she said situation.
You have to prove that they happened in order to properly enforce them. There is a reason lawyers say to get everything in writing. Unless they have a video or audio recording of that conversation, there is no way to prive that contract was made
They aren't unless you can prove to some degree that it happened. If I made a verbal deal with someone alone, that deal is not enforceable as the only ones that know of it could have contradicting stories. Okay she must be a very shitty lawyer if she doesn't think oral contacts aren't enforceable. There are exceptions, but they certainly are enforceable generally
Unless there is a recording or other evidence of the verbal contract, there is literally no way of getting it enforced. It would just boil down to a he said she said situation.
You have to prove that they happened in order to properly enforce them. There is a reason lawyers say to get everything in writing. Unless they have a video or audio recording of that conversation, there is no way to prive that contract was made
@@royal-wolf yeah they are binding when recorded, so saying generally that they aren't binding is just false..
They aren't unless you can prove to some degree that it happened. If I made a verbal deal with someone alone, that deal is not enforceable as the only ones that know of it could have contradicting stories. Even in OP's case Vicky would be a biased source no matter what. She has shown a distinct hatred of OP for over 12yrs, and is married to OP's father.
If the contract was recorded or witnessed by an unrelated 3rd party than it could be enforced.
@captainjoy8976 I literally said that unless they are recorded, they are not legally binding. Did you not read the comment or just ignore half of it?

Personal opinion She should pay back her father , She leeched of her father's money . If she hated him why did she even bother to take money from him , and Being a lawyer she is saying that oral contracts are waste , Bullshit....
For me OP Is also the assho** but the father is a bigger one
Btw this story was like a waste of time
"Pay back the father", she owes nothing, and he deserves nothing. If anything paying for her education is payment for the shit upbringing he inflicted upon her.
@superstan2310 That's why I said her father was a bigger asshole but the thing is, she sounded like she was leeching of her father's money and bragging about that he didn't signed an contract with her in written.
@@superstan2310 but also I think her father's aggresive behaviour after she was accused by vicky was justified, Even I'll become angry if my wife is pregnant and she accuses someone with that sort of shit , because marriage is based on trust and he trusted vicky because he didn't knew of her dirty behaviour behind her back.. but he should've apologised and the daughter should have taken the case as it was a good chance missed of getting back at vicky....
@@prateek436 She didn't brag about anything. She was making it clear that he couldn't force her to pay him if she didn't want to. I imagine she would have paid him back if he was a better father/person.
Also trust should only go so far, you don't blindly trust everything your partner says without evidence, especially when its an accusation about your CHILD, you know, someone else you should trust and support. Even after what Vicky did and was proven to do he still didn't question any of the stuff that he had previously just taken her word for.
good luck proving an oral contract................
she took the money as payment for garbage treatment.........on top of that he tried to force her to take him as a client for FREE after calling her mentally unstable etc..
