@@gadeonmusic yes but losing position is subjective to referees. Wouldn't want to be in their shoes at this level of competition. Hats of to them to try to balance fairness and a good fight.

Ayane really deserves another match. She showed a very entertaining performance. ❤. She dominated the match but lose due to the loopholes in the rules. She's people's champ.
After the fuss I've heard about this match and now watching the footage of it, I really do hope Ayane will have another shot at the title, or even let her have more matches. This arm fight, despite looking ugly for me, it is what it is. Dimitrina did take some legit rounds and props to her. She was more technical, I guess. Ayane looked so strong and I hope she learns from this fight.
17:52 wtf, Dimitrina is just losing on her side of the table. Anybody can just slide underneath, lose hand, lose pronation, try to slip from underneath but end up on your side. Those elbow fouls are ridiculous, Dimitrina was pulled so hard, she was taken off the pad, she gained no position, she was being dominated. If anything it's an intentional foul from losing position.
The only sane comment in this comment section. Everybody else seems to be just sucking up for the Japanese for some reason. She's great(I like her too) but people need to calm down a bit and let reality have its say. This unconventional love towards Takenaka is evident by the fact that not a single comment is supporting Petrova and giving her any props for winning the match. She didn't do anything wrong. She was a better arm wrestler here and she won. The End.
@@kaenchuli_Nevla Has nothing to do with Petrova being a better armwrestler, they both got 2 legit rounds on each other. The difference came down to ref's nulling 2 of Ayane's win's due to Petrova's elbow being pulled forward off the pad (not even Petrova moving it there, her whole body was pulled). A foul is something Petrova does, she was not even in control of herself being pulled off. The other issue being the winning on her side of the table, despite her hand being fully turned over trying to run away. All 3 of these matches were due to refs and the fault of the existing rule system. Ayane had 2 wins stolen and 1 win gifted to her opponent (very least should've been a restart). 3 matches overturned in a best of 7 completely changes the game.
I think this is a big setback in arm wrestling that when they review they dont show the viewers and i think that if we want arm wrestling to become a world class sport we have to make these improvements because reviews are always shown in big sports with better working scorecards
I passed through so much anger watching this fight in live, it was a lot of frustration watching this absurd, i'm glad dat Engin changed rules after this shame.
Tbh Ayane lost fair and square.. She got two pins at the start , Next round Dmitrina flop pressed and ayanes hand was on the losing side of the table, even though her hand was on top of Dimitrinas at the end, the pin was for Dimitri because ayanes hand went below the pin pad over the opponenets winning side. Next round both go into hook, Dmitri elbow slips off the pad at the start, and is given an elbow foul.. Last two rounds Dimitrina wins decisively in a hook. Even if that elbow foul was counted as a pin for ayane, Dimitrina still would've won 4:3.. They both did their best and Dimitrina came out on top and got the win!
Да отдали ей победу просто, Димитрина разрывала захват движением вниз, тоесть уход умышленный(вроде 3 раунд), это проигрышь, но судьи не обратили внимание. Аиана победила!
I’d been waiting to see this controversial match to makeup my own mind, although I always hate to see hard earned pins nullified by BS rules or elbow fouls, But I still think Petrova deserved the win that was decided by her endurance, But can’t wait to see Ayane compete again.
The point is that Ayane should've won early and it should never have come down to endurance. Imagine if Levan pinned Devon multiple times but it didn't count, and then Devon keeps f*cking him in the set up and finally wins. Would you say that's fair?
@@levansaginashviliskidney8726 I see your point, But it would’ve still been difficult for Ayane’s endurance being that it was a 4 of 7 match, But I definitely became a big fan of Ayane’s.
RUclips algorithm boosting comment 💪 ... VERY cool to see new super talented pullers like this on the big stage for many of us that r not familiar with them. no losers in the match really!
Wow, this was the closest match one could imagine, had there been no elbow fouls in round 3 and 4, Ayana would have taken the title, I believe. Round 3 was the turning point after the elbow foul and referees' review (then it became 2-1). Then in round four Ayana pined Dimitra again but was an elbow foul again. We must complement both athletes, for this incredible match, could have gone either way and this TOTALLY DESERVES A REMATCH. Dimitra just destroyed Caroline Pettersson in E vs W 15, so the rematch would make most sense. God bless all!
I don't understand anything about arm wrestling. I just recently started enjoy the sport. Seems to me that Ayane got robbed, she was way more dominant in that match. But I may saying bullcrap. Just looked like that.

Oh she strong as hell. That's so cool. Only 25, too. Hardly any representation for Japan in armwrestling (or at least this form of armwrestling). Oh that's unfortunate for Ayane. She pinned the press down, thinking it would be a pin for her, but it's not on her side. Just a rules confusion thing there. Then Petrova getting out of 2 pins in a row before getting a pin. Ayane has racked up FAR more pins, but that's just how the rules are and it's tricky to make it any better than that. A lot of ways to intentionally game the rules to get endless restarts among other things. 17:01 - Then in the very next round after a dominating pin, we can see Ayane is getting pretty god damn sick of it lol. 17:50 - The press pin on the wrong side happens again! someone needs to tell Ayane the rule with that, she couldn't have been made aware). She would have let go if she knew. That one sucked. Almost feels like the wrong person won, but not entirely, since knowing the rules is part of it (though I don't think she was informed after the first time with "pinning" the press?), and the rest is just an unfortunate side-effect of how the rules gotta be, so a lot of stamina is then required. This one REALLY needs a rematch. Edit: Oh apparently the rules are changing so as competitors can't get out of a pin like that anymore. I think that would be a lot better. No desperate "get the hell outta there" fouls right before the pin. So that would just be in relation to the elbow I think. Rather than when they use a slip to get out of a bad situation. I don't think this should apply to slips. I don't want to see slips above the pad being called a win, because that always sucks. Should be able to get a slip anywhere, and it's good. Often the elbow will slide off the pad when trying to escape near the pad, and THAT is where the loss would be with this new rule change, which is fine. This one was rough for Ayane. Especially since I don't think she was made aware of the thing with her pinning the press, otherwise she would have let go the second time it happened. I found the video Engin released on it, titled: Dimitrina vs Ayane match decisions
I don't understand why you are losing so you intentionally pull your elbow off the pad and you get a restart and not a loss? It seems Ayane was robbed but I'm not a expert on arm wrestling rules.
So I watched the match and heard a lot of things, but honestly seems mostly fair to me. Restarting with fouls has always been a thing and adds a tactical decision of when and how to bail. Also makes endurance more of a factor. Think ayane just gassed out tbh. Some of those calls were a bit weird yeah but still, not nearly as horrendous as i thought it was going to be >_>
