    It's good to know that those slender, long Sterlite boxes fit 2 rows of bars! :) Right now I store in full sized whiff boxes, with a smaller whiff box with the lid cut off being my "melting basket". One whiff box holds 32 bars when stored flat. I had 4 full boxes but I've cut it to 3. Trying to limit my stash too!

      It's great when you can find boxes that work well for storage! Especially if they are free lol!

    Great video! I use the Scentsy Whiff Box boxes to store my “out of season” Scentsy bars and a woven basket for my “in season” bars. I like to swap them out every 3-4 months and only warm certain scents during each season. Plus it’s a good excuse to go through everything I have and take a little inventory to see what I can order 😊

    We do secret sister at my church. I had an overflowing small wicker basket of melts. But this year my secret sister brought my new year’s gift In an adorable reusable box with a lid. (Pink & pink & white check) I put all my wax in there & it’s in a corner of my library. I LOVE it

    I store my Scentsy in big clear storage containers( the kind you can fit under a bed) but I store it in a spare bedroom closet, I like keeping the bars flat but like you keep them organized, I’m always afraid not having them flat in case they start sweating, it can make it pretty messy when they do, some, for some reason just sweat and I too keep my home in the cool side.
    I really need to cut down I don’t even know how many I have but it’s a lot! Lol

      Yeah keeping them flat if the temperature in your home is too hot is probably the best best. It might also do with the humidity in your home. I have never had them sweat so I can store them upright.

    I use baskets kind of like you have. I got them from Pier One a few years ago. they're made of hyasinth grass or something like that. The feel great to touch. I don't smell my wax while I store it in them. I don['t actually store Scentsy bars in them though. they're for vendor wax.
    I store my Scentsy bars in this foldable ottomans that I got from QVC some years ago. they hold allot of bars and they keep them cool. I also bought some of Scentsy's wooden storage boxes. Sadly, they don't carry them anymore. They are excellent for storing bars.
    Great video. thank you for sharing it and showing us your storage system. Stay safe.

    Some of my bars sweat after awhile even though I keep them in cool temps. I think it happens to some of them as they age but it only seems to be certain scents.

    Those are some good storage products in your drop down box. I’ve never done labels but I love clear plastic containers that hide behind closed doors because I can see the contents of each box. I have a number of those cheap 99 cents (🇨🇦 price) clear plastic shoeboxes from Home Depot which store all kinds of things from out of season decor to shoes.

      The dollar store is a great place to get some cheap bins as well. It's amazing how a box with a lid can make life so much easier lol!

    My melts (Scent Shots from Candles by Victoria) were really organized in Sterilite Drawers. Perhaps you’ll inspire me to get tidy again! The order coming is all lily-of-the-valley and gone grape.

      After reading your comment, I just ordered a loaf of Gone Grape (as well as Bite Me, a longtime vendor favorite). I love Scentsy's Grape Granata mixed with Happy Birthday, but funning out of Grape Granata, which is not being sold now. It was an unexpected mix which blew me away it was so good so I need a new grape.

    I have an under the bed type storage container and it is under the bed in the spare bedroom. I mark my bars with how many I have, such as 1 of 5, 2 of 5, etc., that way I always know if I am running low of something. I then put them in in alphabetical order. LOL

    Hi! New subscriber here! How do you protect your melts during the summer months when you're shipping to customers?

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  2 года назад +1

      Hi! Thanks for being here! I'm don't sell candles or wax. I purchase wax and candles but I don't sell anything. I know my orders from Scentsy come with an ice pack during the summer months. But I live in Oregon and Scentsy ships out of Idaho so it gets to me quickly. In the past Homeworx used to not even ship during the summer months. I think if you are selling an item sensitive to heat I would just skip shipping during the hottest months out of the year if it cannot easily stand up to the heat during transit.

    Oh I thought bars should be stored flat but they are ok upright. Well that was very helpful Thanks

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  3 года назад

      I think the reason for that is because sometimes the bars can sweat. I have never had an issue with mine so storing them like this works for me. Make sure the temperature in your home is suitable to storing them this way.

      @@MrKongsMom Ok Thanks and I use my bars up fairly fast so that might help but yes my house is at a one temp like yourself. So my winter/fall/ Christmas bars will be fine till next year with no problems.

    How do you store them if you live in a hot place? Mine kind melt and I was told not to but them in freezer. I’m finding that in the summer they are losing their scent fast. What do I do. I feel like I’m wasting money and losing my favorite scents!!!

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  3 года назад

      Do you have at least one air conditioned room in your house? I’d store them there. Otherwise my advice would be to only buy what you can reasonably use in a short period of time. The freezer will make them loose their scent and I think the fridge is also probably too cold. You could get a mini fridge and have it on a super low setting.
