Crestie breeder here! I appreciate that you are wanting to have good visibility in sploot's new enclosure to monitor behavior! I do worry that it being quite large with minimal branches/foliage towards the front will be stressful for him to the points that you mentioned in the video. I highly recommend more vertical branches that span the height of the enclosure. Additionally, because he is still very small in this enclosure I would recommend at least one more food dish on the otherside so that he has no issue finding food. Love Arcadia Shade Dweller, great choice. He is so fun! Congrats on your new geck!
I could listen to you talk about anything forever, you’re so soothing! I’m so happy you’re back uploading regularly again! I can tell you’re much happier! So happy for little Sploots new enclosure!
Owner and breeder here. Your enclousure is very lovely, but there is much to improve. Starting off with saying that it's very bare for a crestie. Especially a baby crestie. You can add in more branches or cork for example. Coconut hides that you tie up are also a big hit with them. There is just not enough hiding places for him. The bare foliage can also contribute to him not eating, as he may not feel comfortable enought to do that. An other thing would be that they DO drink water from the bowls.
I’m saving my pennies for a Zen habitat for my 6 month old bearded dragon in the future. I love the bases wnd the options for a top to hide all the lights and cords
I love your enclosure so much! ( Especially the back wall of it!) I know that my cresties absolutely love their coconut hides that have a bamboo bridge attached so maybe Sploot would like them too (this is for a more hanging and higher up element to the enclosure)
I love watching your videos I was really frustrated and then I clicked on your video and I just find your voice so calming I had completely forgotten about everything 😁
This works really nicely for a midway between full on bioactive and minimal baby enclosure. The only thing I would consider adding is something like a cork tube or a half-coconut shell on the ground for a really nice dark spot for day time napping. My now adult crestie is oddly in love with his half coconut that she had as a baby even though its on the ground and she has a bunch of hides high up.
i love sploots new enclosure he is going to be living luxury. you take such good care of all your animals. i am a massive fan and wishing you a very happy birthday for 14th of April xx
For succulents the best way to water them is by feel. They generally need watering once a week to 2 weeks. To check if they're okay, their leaves should be firm to touch and a green colour. If they have good drainage root rot wont be a problem. I'm talking from expiriance of a jade plant
Those enclosures look so nice, what a great system.. about the feeling when an animal is comfy in a enclosure you made i feel the same when a horse starts rolling around when I muck out, its so nice
Having a crested gecko and researching lots I know that they need lots of hiding spots and things to climb on to feel safe and secure! But I do like the size of the enclosure and you crestie is sooooo cute ❤🥰
I would definitely use some substrate paper towels I have trouble holding humanly and because of the fact that the top is all screen just make sure you’re monitoring that humidity
I own lots of succulent plants , I've noticed alot of people who purchase them they tend to think you water them everyday & lots of water . Although it quiet the opposite water them once a week and they will do just fine :) .
Awh so excited to watch this!! I’m getting W crestie soon after have a Leo for three years already- I love your videos so much you inspired me to start my animal obsession 🥰🥰
It looks great. Just so you know, dracenas and most succulents do better in a dryer environment. They are pretty adaptable though, so, if you keep them in hi humidity don't water them just mist them now and then. Otherwise You can get rot and droopy leaves. Dracena also don't like the tips of their leaves touching anything. You're orchid maybe too wet as well. Forgive me if you already know all this. I studied horticulture lol .ps. you are not a jellyfish. Thought I should let you know that just in case LOL
Thank you!! I know very little about plants. I’m trying my best to learn! I’ll see if I can find a smaller bromeliad to switch out the Dracaena with :) thanks!!
LOVE THIS! Your shot with the lighting and backdrop had me in awe. I have no idea what reptile I would get to live in it, but I need that enclosure!! Ahahha. Really love the esthetics in your enclosures ♡
I really love the look of the zen habitat. I order my first one for my beerd dagon.a 4x2x2 bamboo enclosure. I love all the really plants you put in it.
Definitely not enough cover, no hardscape or climbing branches. Potted plants vs bioactive viv is a redundant choice. Obviously set up for your viewing pleasure instead of what’s best for them. Lots of open space and minimal hides despite the huge space
@@Emzotic glad you haven't! It's not a problem for most people. Most people love the mattresses, I myself want to try one, but some people have had issues. I think some people are just more sensitive to things.

Maybe Sploot will also love these kinds of hides.

I have a bioactive enclosure for my Crested Gecko and we decided to buy this coconut with a ladder which is meant for rodents but we got it for him and we fixed it to this huge log in the middle of the enclosure so it's a coconut hide with a ladder that's hooked over another branch to make a bridge and that leads straight to where his food is.

Do we get to have a video of you using all of the tiny little squishy beds for your ferrets and just seeing what they do with a box of them
