    Great video, just picked up a 2014 glk 350 with 58k so was thinking of doing this as I already have a mityvac. Was actually surprised how good your old fluid looked.

    Does the fact that there's a breather hole at the top mean that there's no danger of overfilling? If so I think I'd want to estimate on the high side not knowing how much I will spill...despite my best efforts. Also, with my pump, it looks like there's about 75ml left in the pump after dispensing. So I guess I have to account for that.

    Hi. Thanks for the video. You mentioned a washer on the plug. What is the washer is it? Is there a part number or link you could share. Thanks!

    • @Lefteris7
      @Lefteris7  3 месяца назад +1

      It's a copper crush washer to create a seal when you re tighten. I don't have the part number off hand. If you call the Mercedes dealer they will have it

    I thought the front diff on these cars shared the ATF with the transmission and transfer case.

      I can’t imagine a front differential being lubricated with ATF. They are totally different oils and different viscosities.

    Do you know if the 2014 cls 550 4 matic is just a drain only? And doesnt share fluid with trans. Someone told me you dont need to. Fill from drain plug

    • @scottp6761
      @scottp6761 3 месяца назад

      My question is. Unsure if its separate.

    • @Lefteris7
      @Lefteris7  3 месяца назад

      Not sure. Best bet is to take a look and confirm. It will be obvious if there is a fill plug. In the case of this car there isn't so you either fill like this or pop off the cv axle shaft and fill from there.

    Hello my front differential has to come out and be checked to see what should be replaced.. do you maybe have some sort of manual for that?

    Hi, what gear oil did you use? Can I use Mobil 1 75w/90 synthetic from Advance Auto for my 2013 E350 4matic? Do you have other videos for transfer case as well?

    • @AUDI_obsession
      @AUDI_obsession 7 месяцев назад

    how many miles did you have? (never mind u said 72,000)

    • @Lefteris7
      @Lefteris7  Год назад +1

      Yea, 72k. The fluid wasn't that bad but the car was recently purchased. Wanted a good baseline. These differentials don't see much abuse, but the fluid still breaks down over time. Good practice

  • @youtoobe169
    @youtoobe169 5 месяцев назад

    Mine had 162K miles on the original fluid and no issues.
