You've made so many good points on why guinea pigs make such great pets. Along with all of the reasons mentioned, one point for me was that they can spend most of the day alone and you don't need to worry about them having to go outside to relieve themselves. If I need to be gone from home for many hours I just make sure they have lots of hay and full water bottles and I don't worry about hurrying home to let them outside. I've had many different animals throughout my life and I have to say that guinea pigs just check all of the boxes on my list of favorite pets.

I've taught mine to do a twirl 😂. They're very clever and it only took three attempts! Now they twirl without a cue! 😍. It's not so much a bite, just a nip when they get my finger instead of the treat 😂. My fault entirely, and none of my girls have fought, just little disagreements over who sleeps where! They're wonderful little animals 😍

Cute pigs and handsome Dad, great video. I've owned a few but their life spam is so short compared to dogs and cats, It breaks my heart everytime when they're gone.

I adopted two middle-aged guinea pigs (one as shown in my profile picture) a year ago, and they never recognized their names. The other points are so true, though. They ❤️ GuineaDad products, some of which are lifesavers.

So question how big of a area do they need? I’m trying to convince my parents to let me have one or two but I don’t know how big they’re gonna be in if I have to get rid of furniture
General rule of thumb is around 10.5 sq ft. However, I think what's important is to work with what you have. I have seen some people with smaller cages, but essentially free roaming or very lengthy floor time every day, which is also acceptable. Guinea pigs have taught me how to love and care for others. Guinea pigs teach us how to pay attention and love. I highly recommend because they teach us how to be more independent by having a little guinea pig to rely on us. They are very smart animals they understand love from others and cherish others just as much as we cherish them.
Guinea pigs are so intelligent! They have distinct personalities, also. Mine just passed away last month, and I miss him so much. 😢
