- A massive thank you for everyone's kind and heartfelt condolences for our dear Pedro. You truly helped us so much and everyday I have felt blessed to be a part of such a kind, caring community. A few of you asked about what happened and I hope this video explains as far as possible. Unfortunately we are not always given the answers we desperately seek, but it is something that us piggie owners become used to. It is better to focus on the happy times and remember they had a life of love, happiness and all the foods. 💚

I have had 3 guinea girls who were born to by girlfriends family. At 26 I didn't know what and how to take care of my piggies but I took them into my home. Now it's been a year and they are the best moments of my day and if anything happens to my girls I don't know how will I cope up. I love them from the depths of my heart. Your last video about Pedro made me cry a lot and just made me hug my piggies at 2 am in the night. I know it's hard but as a piggy parent I send kind wishes and empower you to be strong in this trying time. Pedro is now over the rainbow bridge and is eating all the unlimited grass and hay he can. With much love ❤️

Oh Sarah, this touches my heart SO MUCH, my boy Patches passed from a pneumonia, even though I brought him to the emergency vet right away, then my own exotic vet after that, with antibiotics, and me literally hand feeding him every 2 hours, putting oxogen directly into the cube bed I had him in, he started getting better, then started going downhill again, by the time I brought him back, I think I may have waited a bit too long to get him back into my vet, I really can't stand that I waited, every time I think of it, I get really frustrated, I loved him SO much, boys seem more social and confident, so I had a close bond with him, even my daughter cried so much!! Pedro was a beautiful piggy, he'll be sorely missed!!

I wish, I could give you a hug. Our Babies mean everyithing. When we lost Penny Just Shy of 1 year old. As we took her to vet. She passed in the car in my arms. Sarah you will be in my prayers and thoughts. God Bless you.

Oh Sarah, I'm so so sorry for the loss of your darling Pedro! He was such a little sweetheart, and I know he's going to be missed by you and your girls, and by us. I'm certain he knew how much he was loved, and now he's free of pain and suffering, and gets to see Lyra again (and he can eat as many pea flakes as he likes!) ❤️💚
I am so glad to see you with the girls and their wheeking adorableness, but I can't bear to see your beautiful blue eyes tear up over the lovely and sweet Pedro. It made me cry with you. I hope you know we all support you in any way we can, and I know it has to make you feel at least somewhat heartened by having those sweet girlies! Please take care and be well.
My heart is breaking for you. It's so hard because they give us so much love from such tiny bodies, people can't understand the amount of love these little critters give us and the void they leave when they are gone. I lost my special girl suddenly on Thursday, there's been many piggies in my life over the last decade but she was mummy's special girl and I've been just gutted by it. Remember while it never seems long enough for us, it's so much time for them and they feel so much love back. Grief is the price we pay for such love xxx

I’m very glad to see the girls out and roaming about. Who can’t love a “piggie train”. You should have no guilt about letting Pedro pass over the Rainbow Bridge. Sounds like Pedro’s health was in decline, and you did all you could do. I must agree, that as much as one can hate to admit it, but when it is your time to leave this good earth, it is time. Pedro is at peace, he is enjoying some lush grass with other piggies. He was loved, what more could he ask for.💙💚

Awwwww. I saw the tribute first,and cried. It was so thoughtful and loving and sweet. It also reminded me of one of my piggies which I had to give away because he was too ill to care for him at a normal single person household anymore. I think of him so much and I constantly miss him... Some boys are just special and you cannot forget them ever.

I had mentioned that we lost our Teddy in early October. I’m still so sad over it and I look to the area of where his cage was. He had been sick as a baby and it turned out to be his teeth. After surgery he did well and loved the Critical Care. This time it was the bloat and or a mass. He was refusing the critical care and I was told to force it. I did most of the time but felt horrible forcing him. The night before I took him back to the vet, I was able to get a lot more into him but in the morning there was no urine or poop in the cage or in his hidey all night or morning. He wasn’t really coming out of his hidey so I took him to the vet and had him put to sleep. Do you think I should have stuck to my gut not to force the critical care on him. Maybe it would have gave his belly a rest. Then I could have resumed the critical care. I was able to get the pain medication meloxicam in to him, they started on that medication to activate his bowel sounds a couple of days later. I was giving him water which he was doing OK with. Unfortunately they did not give me antibiotics for him. Then when I was cleaning out my cabinet recently I found his antibiotic that I probably could have given him and I was so upset that I found it now. Unfortunately the exotic specialist wasn’t on duty but was in the emergency room so the vet consulted with him. I feel like Teddy was at a loss not having his regular exotic specialists.. I know he was uncomfortable with all the critical care he got & no peeing or pooping and this is why I immediately took him to my personal vet. It broke my heart and I still keep thinking about it and I still think I shouldn’t have forced him with the critical care. They know their bodies and what they want to take in and what they can’t take it. Rest In Peace to all our sweet fur babies. Thank you for your kindness and understanding. You are an extraordinary and well deserving guinea pig owner. I loved the tribute to sweet Pedro! 💙💙
It's nice that you now focus on the others, I think it's also not easy for them and they appreciate the diversion :)

I'm so sorry for you he is in a great place right now your videos are great and he is thankful for you giving him a great life it will take time to greeve but we will be here for you, you are teaching us all about guinea pigs and this is something that you will learn from and we will learn.

Me and my mum love Happy Valley, just binge watched the first couple seasons. Love the video aswell, as per usual. Always manage to put a smile on my face. Callie has come so far taming-wise, and it's lovely to see Pheobe and Roxy getting on with her well. We will all miss Pedro, hope you are doing alright 💓

Watching Callie zoom is so precious. It makes me so happy to watch my pigs run around having fun. Makes all the work of cleaning, laundry and feeding every day so worth every minute.
Pedro was a sweet boy and it was nice to see cuddle time etc life is too short esp when it’s a Guinea pig I watch happy valley too I’m looking forward to seeing new series myself ❤

I would like to say thank you to you Sarah, your courage to share this with us is so appreciated, it must be so very difficult to make this type of video, I cried through Pedro's tribute and through this one too, I cried for you, for Pedro, for Lyra and my own little Sialeeds who left us last year April, they are bitter sweet tears, my heart hurts but this is a price worth paying to have our sweet piggles in our lives, they bring so much joy to our lives.
Callie now knows the rules of the herd because of Pedro even though it was short

It's so nice that your trio are leaning into each other and getting along. I'm sure that's what Pedro would have wanted.
I appreciate that you may just want to move on from this, but something about coping with grief, strategies to soothe and process it would be helpful. We lost two piggies in five weeks at the end of last year and it's not been easy. Your video on Lyra massively helped us prepare for our old girl to go, but her little buddy was an awful shock.

I had a surprise visit from my newest grandpig last week, my son brought him by. He is a rescue, a completely black piggy named Rumble. He is still very shy.

Aww I feel for you piggys are so precious its heartbreaking when your lose them I recently lost my piggy named chucky he was only young he just suddenly got very poorly and very weak the was nothing the vets could do we didn't know what was wrong with him thats the sad thing about these sensitive little piggys, I have Peruvians and I do everything I can to make sure they are happy and healthy and have no issues also i love watching your videos they just inspire me and I have learnt a lot more about guinea pigs they are just so adorable and interesting 😊
I still tear up everyday thinking about Pedro, and I draw little pictures of him while watching a video of Pedro being his best ☺️. And you deserve all this love! You are the best youtuber there is.
The girls seem to be a bit 😴, but tbh same for me 🤣.

Also, just to add that your bond with one piggy to another will always be one of a kind, and the reason losing piggies is so painful is because they love you and you love them unconditionally.... the grief is a reflection of how significant they are to you ❤️
I am so so sorry for your loss Pedro was an amazing unique piggy and nothing could ever replace him I wish you the best though I have never lost a piggy yet I am dealing with health issues my Phoebe has a huge mass on her shoulders so I do understand the sadness and worry that goes into piggies having health issue I hope Pedro is having the time of his life with lyra and willow and maybe some of his siblings before you got him 😭❤ he was so lucky to have you he definitely got all the love and respect he deserved

My boy Gonzo passed on the 28th August 2020, at 16.10hrs, this broke my heart and still does today, So i guess am saying I know exactly how you feel, It is such a sad time , but together we can get through this, Pedro was such a lovely boy, and you, you are such a wonderful knowledgeable person, Stay strong and cry when you need too, I still do today. It is amazing how these little guys touch your heart, and sometimes through no fault of theres or yours shatter it, but without the people like you, me and thousands of others, they would not be able to enjoy their life's,. love your videos, keep doing what your doing cause we love what you do, and what wonderful piggy's you do have, These guys just dont live long enough, but through us they will live forever. x

As mine got more comfortable exploring during floor time, they lost their manners and stopped going back to the mat to pee

I do have a request though. I have 4 boys and I am being told that I should seperate 2 and 2 now before I have to seperate each 1 individually. I'm so hoping I won't have to seperate at all. Do you have any ideas on what I can do to help them stay together? They all seem to be getting along fine. Yes they show dominance like normal but no biting or drawing blood. We already made their cage enormous so they have lots of room and hideys away from each other if needed. But is there anything else I can do to keep then together?
To be honest it took me a min to watch but with tears in my eyes all l can say is thank you for coming back ,l know how hard it is ..We will miss Pedro for life also Lyra .Sending an enormus hug from one piggy mum to another .Now you have a Princess castle like me 🐹😍
