These are my absolute favorites for sketching on the go!
I hope this is useful for someone but please know that these really are just my personal faves and in no way a must-have! You can make art with any type of materials or art supplies, no matter if cheap or expensive, whatever works for you! :D I will link all the Pens pencils and co. below and I'd love to hear your top 5!!

I am far from a pro (I started drawing 2 years ago) but I love Schmincke Akademie gouache. Winsor & Newton Designers gouache is very good too but not all the colors are vegan. Schmincke are vegan so I don't have to check the component of each color when I want to buy a new one.
Ooh i heard that windsor newton must be really good! Schminke is usually pretty good quality too i think? I have some royal talens ones atm, I’m not really convinced yet but it might also help to get a better flat brush! The one i have is way too stiff 🥺 BUT I’m going to the art store on Monday heheh ✨
@@tschoiy Yes Schmincke gouache is really good quality, I love the texture, the feeling is a little different from Winsor & Newton. I have some Royal Talens acrylique tubes but never tried their gouache. My gouache brushes are from the brand Leonard, the Ruby serie. I really love them and they are not exepensive (at least in my country), I recommend. Have fun at the art store!

Loved this! My favorite art suplies : 1. tombow brush pen and pigma sakura pen. 2. Watercolor pencils (selection of caran d'ache / derwent, just favorite colors) 3. Talens art creation sketchbook. And as new adition: a few posca markers :)
Thank youuuu!!! 💕 That does sound like a good selection aswell!! :) I used to have a couple of tombows too! Should give them a revival it’s been so long i haven’t used them!!! aaah and poscas are true gems !! They really change the way i draw which is so fun ! I don’t have many colours yet but should bring them more often!! And gets some more colours hihi :D

My top 5 - a Blackwing usually but really any pencil, a black gel pen usually a Muji, a Pentel pocket brush pen, Neocolor 2’s and a watercolor or gouache palette with a water brush!

Uhhh the pentel pocket brush pen actually looks so similar to one i have but i can’t find new refill inks for!!! I really love that one but didn’t include it bc i haven’t used it forever! Maybe it is an older model of that pen and the refill inks fit too! I gotta try that bc that brush pen is something else!
When i have more space i also bring my watercolours too!! And i just started using gouache, hopefully i will put together a little « on the go » set for that too once i dare to do pleinair 🤞🏻✨
Yaaaaay been waiting for this !
My top 5 supplies are:
(1) Tombow brush pen
(2) Zebra mildliner
(3) Sakura micron 0.2/0.5/0.8/1.0 in black
(4) a basic pentel 0.5 mechanical pencil and dough eraser
(5) my NotebookTherapy bullet journal or my TalensArt sketchbook.
I do mostly bullet journaling so it's a lot of marker work. One of my goals this year is to add some other supplies (colour pencils, gouache maybe) and explore with those in my sketchbook.

Yeah the top 5 totally vary a lot depending on what you do! These are also just my selection that i Always bring with me! Gotta make an expanded list sometimes too! It would have poscas on there & collage snippets and my watercolour palette!
Also trying gouache atm! So fun! :D
@@tschoiy for sure, rather consistent with the supplies but my color palette changes quite a lot tho ! My top 5 depend also if I'm doing art for myself (bujo/sketching) or if I'm out in the field doing geology. Then it is pen, eraser, polychromos (each rock layer has its own color), ruler ⛰️🔨

Ich hab mir schwarz & blau als refill geholt, hab sie aber noch nicht wirklich benutzt, sie fühlen sich ein bisschen anders an (also wie sie in der Hand liegen) aber glaub das ist nur am Anfang hahah! Teste auch gerade einen neuen pentel brush pen mit refill ink! (Die neue Version von einem den ich geliebt hab)

Yessss some traditional art to balance out screen time is really worth gold ! 🔥(But my Ipad is definitely also always with me😂) These are really what i always bring with me there’s also others i like ofc but these are the most convenient to bring along 👌🏻

ohhhh all of them look so good! I've been meaning to get some of the faber castle polychromos! I think this is my sign to get them lol
I really thought i didn’t like colour pencils until i tried these !!! Definitely recommend giving them a shot, even with just a couple of colours you can do fun stuff !

Aaah that makes me happyyy!! Thank youu!! 💕🌷haha yes i really use them lot’s and have replaced them often too! Some of my fave’s I even have multiple times to make sure i got them everywhere i am hahahah!

3 uni Pin (brush, 0,2 and 0,05), 5 or 6 watercolor brush pens Colorex, 6 Pitt Artist. I actually lost my handbag pencil case last week after drawing in a Uber 😭 I had to buy all of those again instead of the gouache colors I wanted to buy this month...
OMG Nooo that really sucks!!!! 😭After filming this I noticed that my blue "water brush" thing is also broken hahaha. Fingers crossed next month you can get some gouaches ? :O I just started playing around with gouache and it is so fun! i gotta compile a "on the go" gouache set now, so I can start pleinair painting this summer! tysm for watching btw

Oh well but still annoying 🥲 i also do dumb stuff hahaha like I keep forgetting not to bring new ink pens to the mountains… i should know by now but they “explode” bc of the altitude and the Ink compartment is too full so it has no where to go but leak… lost too many pens to this already…. :(
I am filming some snippets as i go so i might make a video about learning gouache but we will see how it goes hahah🙈💕

What pencil sharpener do you use? Your pencils look super Sharp….😊
Haha i never thought about this! To be honest i don’t sharpen them often enough usually they look all sad hahah but for the video i thought it might look a bit better 😂👌🏻 I don’t really use one specific sharpener, just the one i can find, this time was a small pocket one that doesn’t even have any brand name on it 😅 that’s not a very useful answer i am sorry!
