      Yeeeeees, doomsday and secret wars have really high chance

      I doubt they will, but they have some potential. However, I’m pretty worried about Doomsday and Secret Wars, considering they had little to no proper buildup so far, given how aimless phases 4-5 feel. And Doom, I’m willing to give Downey’s performance a chance, but the decision to cast him as Doom feels problematic on paper. It’s definitely guaranteed to get butts on seats, even if the movies don’t turn out that great. It’s like Marvel knew they were in trouble, they knew they have no time to build up Doom or develop his character, so they used a stunt casting choice. And another worry I have is Spider-Man being abruptly being thrusted to multiverse shenanigans after his street level story arc by the end of NWH; having him show up for multiverse shenanigans after NWH wouldn’t make sense. But hey, it is what it is, so all we can do is hope for the best ig.

      @@noobmaster69426 agreed, think there’s not enough time to do proper buildup for doomsday and secret wars. RDJ will get butts in seats for hardcore fans and I’m sure it will do fine, but I can’t see general audiences being as interested compared to Infinity War and Endgame. Will be interesting to see what happens, though!

    I personally feel like in terms of overall quality and entertainment, the MCU scratched the surface and peaked with Avengers: Endgame, considering it was the perfect culmination and payoff of 11 years and 22 movies of interconnected storytelling, buildup, and world building. This is what happens when you have a clear focus and a clear story. It pays off perfectly in the finale. Marvel nowadays, just lacks it now, considering that most of phases 4-5 feel so aimless and poorly planned, given the terrible decisions made with Disney+. The saga started off pretty decent, but fell off hard as it is progressing, and over half of the future projects, I’m pretty worried and skeptical about. Brave new world for example, I’m hearing nothing but bad news about it, given the reshoot situation. The trailers look well-edited, but according to test screening results and reports, it’s failing even after reshoots, which feels like a major red flag.
    Aside from all that, great analysis!

    BUT....
    They are now using the right magic for fantastic four, avengers doomsday, spiderman 4, avengers secret wars.

    The Batman and The Penguin made me realize that the MCU has always been stale and generic. Even the animated shows are better than the MCU. How the MCU was the biggest franchise in Hollywood is beyond me.

    • @TV_Guyd
      @TV_Guyd  2 дня назад

      I tend to like the (good) DC content more, like The Penguin and all the Batman movies. But in the beginning, I think Marvel did better because the movies are funnier, less serious, and family friendly. Plus, them building upon each other was cool and paid off in Endgame. Will be interesting to see how Superman does in 2025.
