Man I’m so glad you do all these videos. Just bought this club used and it’s nice to be able to go back and review your order videos as a reference point. Even years later. Keep up the good work and thanks for your honest opinion!
Ok sorry, I talked about the gravity core weighting in the head the wrong way round. (Weight at bottom should reduce spin) However you can still see the results with the weight moved in each location. I will produce another video in the future to clear the matter up. Rick
Rick, any update on this? I noticed the Alpha was not included in your recent driver comparison, but since the weight at the bottom lowers spin where you may want more loft any chance you do a comparison of this to the R15 or G30 LS to see how it holds up?
Love the look of that, big Callaway fan. Great video! Rick I manage a course in Scotland called Torrance Park we are a really new course, you and the guys are more than welcome to pop up and play. Be good to get a few more well known guys playing us. Good luck.
Rick, I enjoy your product review videos. I think that if you moved the ball up in your stance and closed the stance a bit, teed it up a bit higher and struck the ball higher up on the face so that you can get a positive angle of attack, you might start to see the spin characteristics that you wanted to see with these lower center of gravity drivers. Just a thought, one golf instructor to another R.J.
With highest loft and core weight up, you've set up for least distance and max spin in this club...same with the vice versa setup. Mulligan and refilm..
Rick, Very much appreciate your posts and insights as our swings our so similar speed and spin wise. I really use this information from your tests to fit for my new drivers. I will certainly try the Titleist 915 D2 with the Rogue x-stiff but please redo this test. It seems you would hit the double black best with a 9.5 or 10 degree with the weight in the bottom for lowest spin. I look forward to the retest and it would be great to it compared to the Titlest with the same shaft as they both offer this shaft as an option. Thank you much, Matt
Hi Rick, love watching the videos and challenges of the drivers. I just purchased a Krank driver and find the launch angle higher with amazing distance. I hope you'll make a video of the driver and your feedback to the audiences . thanks!
Rick any chance you can do a head to head of the original BB Alpha and the Double black diamond. I've seen SLDR against R15 but no battle of the Alpha's anywhere yet. cheers Paul. Cheers Paul.
Hi Rick, as always enjoyed the review mate. What would be good to see is the Double Black Diamond against Pete's Titleist 915 driver. Make it happen lads. Regards Iain
Could you do a compare vid between this and the big bertha alpha (original). Kinda new vs old. I got fit for the alpha and was told the only difference really was the paint job
Love your tests- 17.9 degrees seems a little high. What would you think your optimal launch angle should be? I usually fit round 14 degrees at your swing speed, but I doubt I am as knowledgeable as you-
Rick, just saw the review of the BB 815 - the Fuji 565 in Stiff is far too soft and light for you to obtain decent numbers. The Rogue in the DBD at stiff is still too soft to get better spin numbers.
It almost seems that your swing since you are a better player is correlating into what you think the ball flight should be regardless of the core and loft settings. I really think doing 3 swings on each loft and each position would be more efficient?
You guys should check out his old video on X-hot callaway driver he AVG. 308 distance and 2485 spin. stop spending your money on over price club and go get your clubs custom.

Hey Rick just adjusted my driver and WOW thanks for the video different ball flight now and much straighter cheers from down under

I think all this video proved was that quality of strike effects spin more than that gimmicky weight does. Looks pretty though.

Yes I'll look into that Paul
Can you hit it with no weight inside? and if so.. what are the spin and distances?

Rick I hit this today and was carried it 270 and 275. Plus the feel is great on this bad boy. In your opinion is this better than the XR?
I would be interested to see the new video with the gravity core in different positions and not changing the loft to see what actually happens

Rick, can u review any Tour Edge Exotics clubs?
Great video as always. I hope you are gonna make a review of the new Nike Vapor irons.
Good vid this club looks interesting

In the Bag?
Love your videos but you must do them again, I think results are not representative of the club when operated properly.
I have about 1900 spin with this driver.
Another driver from Callaway? Are they trying to beat Taylormade on the # of clubs they can release in a year?
hi setting wait at top hahs
bottom is lower spin haha
Smaller head???? Isn't it 460cc?
Increased loft.. Equals increased spin.. Plus the stiff shaft vs your normal x flex... Duh
Talk about a flawed review.
