    Ppl don’t say it doesn’t drive well, they talk about reliability and maintenance cost

    Hey bud. Great content. Let's say I am rolling on 6th. I see a red light. I lift both paddles putting in into "N" and rolling to the light. The light turns into green. I press upshift, it puts to 4th automatically. That's a correct way, right?

    • @fastexperiencecars
      @fastexperiencecars  2 года назад +8

      Yea. After pulling both paddles, to go to “N” and the if car doesn’t come to a complete stop because one couldn’t judge what the light was going to do and it goes green, lightly press the brake and pull “up shift.” The F1 will go into whichever gear is appropriate. I can be 4th or can be even 6th if the speed is still 40mph.
      But no need to pull both paddles, to come from 6th to 4th. Only do it, to come to a complete stop and to your question: yes, it’s the correct way to do it and must be done if situation changes all of sudden.

    hey man, do you have that hesitation from stop and go in 1st gear? It feels like a lag when I had the Coupe

    • @fastexperiencecars
      @fastexperiencecars  2 года назад +1

      Yea. It does lag a little when it grabs first but I think my GS that had the drive-by wire upgrade. It was a little less. Although, if a person slowly rolls into the throttle, it’ll lag no matter what unless the clutch is new or have been adjusted but each car may feel a little different, anyways.

    Hey friend, I’m saving up for a Maserati QP V. Would it be smart to save longer for a ZF-version? I’ve heard a lot of bad things about the DuoSelect, but I guess if I just use it like you described in this video, all would be fine.

    • @fastexperiencecars
      @fastexperiencecars  Год назад +1

      I’d say, save up to get a ZF and it’s not too much expensive. Just have to find the right one. If you’re buying it to keep it for few years and say, u find a cheap Duo but it will likely need a clutch. So $4-5k on a clutch will add up for u to get the ZF to start with.
      Only the ‘09-‘13s are expensive.
      A ‘07-‘08 can be had for about the same price.

    Hi, my clutch was recently changed by the past owner, its a 2005, car runs great but sometimes in traffic or after an agressive ride it seems like the first or second is acting weird and sometimes i can hear a little bip bip with no dashlights coming up.....but if i restart the engine its gone, its really not all the time but it does happen. Have you ever experienced this? are the f1 system are prone to sometime acting weird?

    • @fastexperiencecars
      @fastexperiencecars  Год назад

      They can act weird in going to 2nd gear but I’m not sure what “bip bip” sound you speak of.
      But It does sound Clinky. That’s normal, and if it makes a sound from a dead stop, while in first gear, at a very low speed, it means, the throw up bearings need replacement

      @@fastexperiencecars it does sometimes makes a grinding sound but only in mornings......what are the symptoms of a bad bearing?

    Hi mate thanks for video 💪,
    Mate I have a tiny question for you,, three days ago me and my brother took his son Mazzi 2002 F1 gearbox and he modified it like crazy it has a 41 kms only still like new , anyway so we stop filling petrol , we start cat fantastic with no drama and my brother let it roll then he shift to 1 we want to take off it take of 1 meter then it won’t go on gears at all 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️,,
    We parked aside to see what happens, car won’t shift at all no sound for gear click as it should be it just stays on N” we turn it off then he try’s to start it unfortunately it won’t starts at all 🤦‍♂️ we check all kind fuses an relay nothing burned fuel pump is new ,, we put it on scanner it give us
    Code P1747: Reverse Gear Switch Absent ?
    Code P1746: Switch Stby , Absent !!
    Any idea what’s happening here ??

      That happened to me right after I bought an ‘03 Coupe and it stopped at the light- won’t go into a gear. Luckily, I called the owner and he took the car back and gave me my money back.
      It could be many issues causing that.
      Wish I can tell you but I’m not sure because it needs to be scanned by a pro to see what’s wrong
