I have owned my 599 for 4 years and have zero of those issues, except the radio control buttons. I replaced them with full carbon fiber replacements. I'll have to check the seat backs, I never use the rear area.

It's use of wrong chemicals. My Maserati was fine. Many years. I brought it once to an other garage... And they put some 'renewing' chemicals on the rubbery things.. And since the the stuff begun to get sticky. Probably has to do with emollient..
I guess that fitting a high end gt car with such sticky stuff is just linked to low quality control more than to mere cost control. It's likely a sort of mindset that could still be hardly accepted in the 90es when customers were dealing with several luxury sport cars being roughly finished,but for sure it's unacceptable in a 21th century Ferrari.

I suffer all these issues on my 599. My centre console buttons are sticky and also now illegible. Ferrari execs don't give a shit, they're going to continue riding rhe current wave of demand until just before it hits the shore. I'm a 911 owner and collector first and foremost, just fell in love with the the lines of the 599 and strayed. Ill keep it regardless of the issues but dislike the company

@@simoneceruti2879 Holland, went to Italy 8-10 times. Italy beautiful country, cars and motorcycles but its not always about the refinement or long lasting quality. Especially on older models. It is getting better and better. A friend just bought a 2018 488 spider and its beautifully well made.
With eight owners, high miles, and a 2007 problem model, maybe you can buy one for 100k, but it will need a ton of work. If you can find a 2008, 2009 mint condition with 7k miles and three owners, just like the one in the video, please send us a link, and I'll buy 2. the lowest we have seen these go for is slightly under 200k with 3 to 4 owners.

It's nostalgic looking back where I was in life when I made that comment, only been a couple of years but if you work hard you'll end up somewhere better even if it's not where you thought the map was leading you.

Take off all the parts in a day, acetone everything, and paint with high quality trim paint, using an adhesion promoter. Kinda weird how this was an early 2000s problem and they still gets using the same coating that turns to gel after a while

599 is the sweetest drivers car ever incredible value having 3 GT3 mclaren lotus Elise exige Aston bmw M cars Audi etc etc 75 car collection the 599 GTB not the GTO is a great daily driver and at the current price point you can buy them and drive them into the ground and just get another one while it lasts make the most of them.

Made in italy is the best for looks and sound. If you don't mind quality issues, electrical issues, component failure, cheap glue that is used to glue the leather and upholstery, cabin noise and clicking sounds from the dash board when driving. If you are ok with all that then its the best.
They are indeed very special and there is no other brand that has the glamor of "Ferrari". But... I think I would opt for a Porsche 991.1 GTS Targa. My God are they beautiful and also very performing. Ok, maybe slightly less quick than the 599 but almost equally as beautiful. But the big difference to a Ferrari is that you can rely on the Porsche, you know that you will arrive...

I would either coat or make the sticky parts from carbon fibre or my personal favorite: mill them from a single piece of metall, glass or crystal
