@@MakeBelieve-u5k yeah, there's more than 10,000 tomato varieties! the more you explore the plant kingdom the incredibly diverse everything is. Each of everything has variety in and of itself! There's like 5,000 different varieties of potatoes for example. There are 3,000 varieties of milk vetches which is just one group of legumes, a couple of thousand varieties of edible mushrooms, there's over 7,000 varieties of apples, etc!
Yes, it was. I don't know why it stopped. I think it's because of covid but it may have stopped before that. It was great because I got to try a lot of new fruits that I wouldn't have tried if it wasn't for the fest. The farmer's would also bring some of their more expensive and rare crops like purple broccoli and other not readily available produce for people to buy. I would always treat myself to some. I love this butterscotch tasting black cherry tomatoes and now I grow them in my raised beds. @@MakeBelieve-u5k

I grow a lot of my food during the summer. I'm going to look into buying purple chocolate peppers seeds too plant next summer.

Boston used to have the tomato fest where farmers would bring their heirloom tomatoes to be tasted and judged.
