We have multiple vendors at this market that are either 100% vegan or have vegan options.
I think a lot of people have food issues so food vendors are smart about what they sell.. for example, the crepe maker has gluten free batter that happens to be vegan too, the filling (mushrooms) he makes without butter, and the chocolate was homemade. The pretzels were vegan too!

Farmers markets are best. Definitely better than grocery stores.
Yea. I don't go as often as I should. But we have a lot of farm stores open 7 days a week around where I live anyways. And their fields are next door or across the street. But some of these farms are multi-million dollar farms with acres of land in another state.

You have to be careful with pretzels, they traditionally contain milk or butter.

@@scienceislove2014 I just saw a video of his in germany, where the grocery store pretzel was vegan (because vegetable oil is cheaper than butter), so he might just think they are always vegan. That's why I commented.

Love a good farmers market haul! The small farmers market across the street from me got mostly rained out yesterday, so no bread - I was devastated 😂. But got hella greens and herbs and a butternut squash.

I love farmers markets we go every Saturday. I always go to the coffee truck first too LoL. I got a Italian herb roast garlic sourdough bread & a purple pepper.

I'm a regular every Saturday -- never miss. Next time, go to the other end for coffee at Flyte. Tell Dakota that Diane sent you. You missed Fermented Future for sauerkraut! I don't make my own anymore; I always buy theirs. I'm always there waiting in line before 8:30 waiting for the bell to go. Afterwards, I hang out, have a coffee at Flyte, then visit a bit before heading home with my haul.

Love a farmer’s market for the fresh produce and bread. Mine also had a vegan “meat”-maker…Sausage Party, here in Toronto. She made the best hotdogs!

i always check the pretzels for butter before buying, they often include it so keep an eye open.

Bread is not the same since I went gluten free. I'm highly sensitive to wheat and it leads to medical problems.
Thats too bad, I find sourdough is great but if you are celiac than.. probably not!

I did? We didn't buy very much produce because there are only a few produce stands at the market. I showed it. A lot of the stalls are more artisan goods, etc
