Love the idea, but the cam under the original pedal is surely designed so under normal driving conditions your foot is lower to the floor. Making it far more comfortable! I can see this making my shins ache from having my toe pointed to the sky :-)
This video is amazing! I just removed my pedal assembly because my clutch cable snapped and this is exactly the information that I needed. Thanks so much!!
That is one nice mod... anything that you could do to take out the slop of worn out parts is okay by me.... much better throttle response! I even like their brake light and clutch pedal upgrade!
Eu comprei direto com ele nos EUA, pelo link unique-parts.com/?wpsc-product=accelerator-upgrade-kit-2-fits-67-79. Ele não enviar para o Brasil, infelizmente.
Interesting how something as small as this can really improve the overall feel of the car. Do you know if this will fit a right-hand drive car? Because I live in the UK and I know the pedal clusters over here were designed slightly differently, since they were on the other side...
Hello guys, I am in South Africa, busy restoring a 1968 Squareback. My Pedal cluster has rusted away, not even there anymore. Is this a single stand a lone item, and can i purchase one from you. Then I will purchase the upgrade as demonstrated here. Thx Andre Venter
eery time I see the pedal upgrades they never off set the pedal at an angel because your foot lays to the side not straight to the pedal. you need to move the front base screw hole on the plated 30 degrees to the left and leave the bottom hole the where it is.
Timmy G Hello were can l buy this kit l have looked everywhere and I would love to buy this kit and also l have a 62 bug will it work on my bug thank y’all for any help and please let me know pretty quick because I will order it if I can use it
Hi my friend I have a 1989 vw Mexican combi and I have been thinking to upgrade my acelerador pedal because my spring pop out of the position all the time and I'm wondering if your system can help Me with me issue ? Thanks
The factory accelerator lever will bend over time due continued stomping on the pedal and it will also twist the flat pedal guide rail out of shape. Obtaining full acceleration becomes difficult. The new design Speed Ball has twin reinforced levers for quicker and smoother acceleration.
Only on the cheapest aftermarket pedals, or super rusty, and never once on the arm. A properly adjusted throttle should be mildly loose enough at idle to not hang the pedal rail on the roller. Plus there is a spring to hold it there correctly. A lot of aftermarket pedals have the rail welded too high on the pedal too. The rail also provides greater low end control by progressive change in the pedals action. Less clutch burn/wear, with the better control too (if your driving right). The #1 reason I don't use the old "big roller" myself, and wouldn't suggest it. But If you like it; fine, it is your car. Looks like a really good setup, and maybe that ONE did bend, but I cry B.S. on the factory arm being "an issue", and hold the bent arm as very questionable unless it was "frozen solid" or "stomped" sideways. In 35years of hobby, 6 years of in-shop repair (they begged), I never once saw that arm bent that way. Few pedals with rail damage, all aftermarket, or maybe super rusty, but that's not what I see here. (they all rusted solid "here" if neglected) If I "stomp" enough, and really try, I'll eventually make a hole in the floor too. After about thirty pairs of boots, and on rusty pans..... maybe. But then again I only weigh 200lbs..... A unique story :}.

A fabricator could change the fulcrum....?
Or hold your foot back a bit and work it with your toes....?
This is genius. No link where I can get one, but I can sure make one!

Ed Edwards It looks like the stop is on the new arm (bottom) not the pedal.
Interessante
