I fully agree, the piano sounds are really great. No samples, no boring presets.

Very good video but Yamaha has much better sounds.
I had both Yamaha NP30 and Roland Rp30..
RP30 has a really bad piano sound although it costs twice the price of Yamaha NP30.
The piano sound of Motif or Montage is much much better even with no effects.

Thanks for your comment. As I said Yamaha put a good Piano present for marketing purposes. In Roland you must make the piano sound according to your music and taste.

@@RolandMusics No. If you buy any Synth Workstation from both companies, you can actually CREATE YOUR OWN PIANO SOUND. That's what they're made for. Creation. MOTIF, MOX, MOXF, JUPITER-80 and JUPITER-50, FANTOM (OLD AND NEW VERSIONS), can allow you to do this. And the previous comment was true. Don't forget, Yamaha has been manufacturing acoustic pianos since the early 1900's.

@@makximumlive Yes of course with both Fantom and Yamaha Montage we can create our own Piano sound. But as I said Yamaha put a wondaful piano sound on initial setting for Marketing purpose. If you spend time and work on sound in Fantom you can create good Piano sound too. Moreover, if a Piano sound looks good (As Yamaha montage) it does not mean it's useful for any music. because we have to modify and adjust the Piano sound for each track according to it's environment and sound characteristics.

It's more like Sampling vs Modeling....Montage use Sampling which records the actual sound of the acoustic piano at different velocities where as Fantom use the Modeling format which allows you to recreates the piano sound from scratch into your liking, tastes, etc....

@@Bruce.-Wayne Yes you are right. Unfortunately most buyer thing it's good to have a good stand alone Piano sound (a pre-set Piano sound like montage) and they thing that Piano sound will work for any kind for music. Base on my experience we have to create and adjust the Piano sound based on the Music style, Rhythm, Vocal and so many other factors. having a good Sample piano sound is not an advantage for a Synth. We need good source sound to create the Piano Sound.

Which DAW are you using? normally when you connect Fantom to your computer with USB port and connect you computer to internet the driver install automatically. other wire go to Roland website and download the driver.

I use the Apple iPad and I need to use a camera connection kit adapter cable with the normal usb cable to connect the iPad to the keyboard - a generic one will not work as Apple have made sure of this cos I bought a cheap £3 cable and it would not work and I had to pay £29 for the real thing from Apple
