No doubt US is the BEST! We love you from 🇵🇭
We love you too 😘 🇺🇲
Americans loved your women and exploiting your weak country!
God bless America 🇺🇸 🙏 ❤ strong 💪 power 🔋
God bless USA, I am from Canada
I second that and our Canadian indigenous ranger's patrolling with limited gear of all Northern Canada, first line of defence. 🇨🇦
Very impressive. God bless America.
No one can deny America is always great.
Don't kid yourself. And never underestimate your enemy..
God, bless America.
Alaska will always be my home! I grew up there and including my tour at Eielson I was there 30+ years!!👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Remember! It's not only having a large military that matters, it's how good your military is when it comes down to fighting off the enemy's!
exactly. so never boost your military capabilities
the us government these days are to worried about teaching the military pronouns and climate change. and vaccine mandates I hope and pray this doesn't bite us down the road
We have seen that in Afghanistan, how they ran from there and left 85 billion dollors millitry machinery in afghanistan.
@@fazlkhan5076 dumb comment. We armed the Afgans to fight and they refused to do it. We provided the best equipments and trainings to the Afgans, but they refused to fight. We lost soldiers there there trainings the Afgans. Americans military never run away from our duty to fight our country wars, and we don't mind dying for our flag. That was my great honor as an immigrant from Africa to fight for my adoptive country.
Only the people who never served in the US military talk bad about our capacities and willingness to defeat our enemies. I served with selfless soldiers who were ready to sacrify every single things they have to defeat they enemies and protect they battle bodies. We choose honor over death.
Thank you Alaska you doing a fantastic job 🙏🇬🇧
Well done America 🇺🇸 we are with you 🙏
Alaska is Palestine too haha, jew take from them

Alaska is LITERALLY IN THE MIDDLE of IT ALL!.
I'm in Alaska now recovering from surgery. I absolutely love this place. Its gotta be one of favorite American states🙏
I hope you get better
God bless you and your family.🙏.
Alaska is a strategic choke point when entering or leaving the Arctic. This is a prized American asset.
Sometimes you gotta sit back and just love this country of ours 🇺🇸. Inspite of all our bickering and fighting we come together when it matters most!
Your country has racial problems, high criminality, horrible quality of food, car dependent, homeless people raising, hunger, poor people getting more poor, rich getting more rich, drug use, poor drinking water quality, globalisation, ultra-capitalism, horrible health insurance, no social system, high police brutality, lobbyist and zionists controlling politics since the beginning. 🇮🇱🇺🇸🇮🇱
Amen to that👍
Gotta love it 🇺🇸 best country on the earth and I’m not trying to be cocky when I say that it just is.
Not anymore. Those days are gone.
Hats off to our forces.
Thank God Alaska is an American State. All of us Canadians would be very nervous if it wasn't, especially with today's conflict.
I spent a couple years in AK when my father , a Colonel, was in command of the 172nd Infantry Brigade ( Separate), US Army AK. We were stationed at Ft. Richardson. I was there when the army got it's first snow machines. You know how they tested them to see if they were "soldier-proof"? hand one over to a 16 yr old boy and tell him, " see if you can break it?". I drove that thing up ice hills, rivers covered in ice and snow and then up and down dry creek beds on rocks. I finally did break one. But I also taught the army something worth at least one busted snow machine. Never, never, never drive a snow machine with your rifle strapped across your back. It will get caked in snow and ice from the snow and ice thrown up from the tracks, making it impossible to fire. So I "earned" that broken snow machine.

I spent two years from Sept 1965 to Nov 1967 living near and mapping the geology of Eielson Air Force Base, near Fairbanks, Alaska. We knew how important this base was as we were in the depths of the Cold War. There were many large advanced radar towers all over the state. It is not an easy place to live and while working on my masters degree I lived in the bush with the bears and moose during the summers mapping some of the volcanic basalt geology. In the summer it was surprisingly hot with 18 hours of sunlight and in the winter very cold with little sunlight. I remember the sun coming up at 10:45 and setting at around 1:30. I never regret living there and learned to love the silence of the winter when snow hung from the telephone lines and the ice fog cradled you when the temperature went below -20 C. My car’s tires would freeze and you had to have plastic shields on the interior of your car windows as your breath would fog all the windows with out those shields. In the winter new roads would open up as the ground was frozen. All the rivers wound freeze solid and some became able to be crossed without fear. It was also a country of extremes. In the spring of 1967 we experienced a major earthquake, then the tundra fires burned all summer and it ended with our cabin under water in the great flood of August 1967. We left the university of Alaska in November for a month long trip to Fort Belvoir,, Virginia for my three years in the Engineer Corps on the US Army. With in a year in was in Vietnam! What a change from the tundra of Alaska. I certainly would have preferred to be back in Alaska!!
Thank you for dedicating the majority of your life serving your country.
Yet another colonial American paradox, the purchase strategy that bought-off the European empires in exchange for a stake in the American experiment -- in the case of Alaska and Hawaii, the Russian Empire...
I am not American born but love to try to read all of Western story and all ways THANKS for all 🇺🇸 take good care this 🌎🙏😍

Great article and great presentation. It highlight all the strategic importance of Alaska most citizens in the lower 48 never realize. My heartful thanks to all the military and civilian personnel who serve our great nation under the most severe conditions. Be safe and God Bless. I salute you all.

One thing I love about America is that, we all kind of races, different ethnicities, we the most diverse military in the world that’s just a strong warning to anyone wanting to fight us. God bless United States 🇺🇸
Indeed I agree also I hope you have a good year
Diversity makes you weaker

Great video, great to see that America's military is working hard to defend this great Republic. God bless all of America's Military personnel.
I’m so glad we have an awesome military. You can see with recent events that if you don’t have one when you need it it is already too late.

what do you mean? Ukraine didnt have shit they survived, everyone else has.
@@sveannnnnnn7578 They are surviving because of the US arsenal.
@@sveannnnnnn7578 Ukraine had a massive arsenal prior to the war. Remember that the Soviets stored a lot of weapons in Ukraine. When the USSR dissolved, Russia grabbed whatever they could. But Ukrainians were able to prevent most of the non-nuclear weapons from being taken.
Ukraine has a fairly strong military now. I'd say they're in the top 20 most powerful countries at the moment, although that's thanks to Western intel and weapons as well.
alaska strong love from uganda
The Russian TU-95 Bears and other aircraft have been flying into Alaskan airspace for decades to test our response times and to see how close they can get before being intercepted. It’s certainly not a surprise and is pretty normal.
America should just shoot them down. Specially now that we've actually seen how bad they are in Ukraine.
American military never respond to jokes. You have to attempt to a fire to get the shock of your death.
They have been dealt with tho
Bless our pilots keeping our skies safe and especially to the crewmen keeping them airborne 💪🏼🇺🇸

General McConnell (excuse my spelling) was an exceptionally impressive gentleman. Regaining Arctic Dominance…. Our men are there to WIN. Well Thank God for this man. Finally someone stands up and tells our young people that winning matters. Treating EVERYONE with equal dignity MATTERS, but that doesn’t mean that I changed my mind. No, I didn’t. WINNING MATTERS!!

Is this all in response to Russia's statement about wanting Alaska back? Haha yeah show them we're not to be messed with.
Alaska is Russian..it is going to be returned to its rightful owner!
@@alland01 it used to be russian, but russia sold it to the us, so now its us territory..
@@alland01 America will return it back when Russia return back Kaliningrad to the Germans, Crimea to the Tatars/Ukraine, Amur Oblast, Khabarovsk Krai, and Primorsky Krai to China. Oh also Russia should return back 7.2 Million dollars adjusted to the present exhange rate.
ya i got this recommended RIGHT after a vid on this. Im dying
@@alland01 No, when you sell an asset, that asset ceases to be yours. The Russian Federation is too much of a coward to try and take it.
I had never heard of Eielson Air Base, until I made a set of custom pens for their dentist. His father commissioned me to build them. I hope they have served him well!

@VOA Excellent episode. Thank you for providing content re the importance of the Arctic circle.
I can't imagine another country trying to come here on our land, I feel like America would come together like it usually does during tough times and most citizens will fight to death for this country not just the army.
Absolutely. And Alaska has a high gun ownership

Spent four years as an infantry soldier in the 4/9 Infantry Regiment at Fort Wainwright in the late 80s. Keeping aircraft operating my be difficult, but try dragging an oversized rucksack around the frozen tundra in -50 below. I look back and wondered how in the hell they convinced me to follow orders then. lol
The Russians have the same issues operating their forces in this type of weather but I am very much confident 🇺🇸 the US can do it better 🔥💯
Lol keep dreaming and thinking the Russian can't
@@KiRiKoUtheBeAsT Clearly the UA-RU war is proving Russia can't...

Alaska, a national treasure for sure!
First the Obvious, Ms. Carla Babb is Stunning, Great Job Reporting. I was Stationed at Ft. Rich Alaska. Great group of Soldiers really know their stuff, Navigate by compass with NO real landmarks and the ones you know change during the seasons. Great experience great Command and great Soldiers. had to add COLD, Very Cold, Pee in the wind and it forms Ice, Cold !
God bless America 🇺🇸
If the Pentagon is really serious about military capability in Alaska they would look at an alternative to the North Slope oil supply system. It is time to reactive the Haines/ Eilson Pipe line and /or put a refinery into Haines and Skagway and establish a truck route from Whitehorse to Fairbanks and Anchorage
Highest regards for America, God bless us all, thank you so much to stand as a Father of all Nations to defend and to protect the freedom and rights of all humanity. keep up with honor for good works 💖🙏 God is with us +++ Great greetings from the Philippines
👍🇺🇲💯 is very good to be in Alaska ,we need more people infrastructure and works
Yes Alaska is awesome but it's tough to fight in the extreme cold
I LOVE AMERICA ALASKA STATE
Awesome that they kept the base open.
I was sent up to Alaska TDY back in the 1980s and 90s to install telephone cables at both major AF bases including the radar stations. And went twice to Shemya AFB. I was station at Norton AFB and later from McClellan AFB both in California. Great to be part of Cold War History. Great video, Those two bases sure changed a lot.
Thanks you very much for defense this territory am from Canada 🇨🇦 I love USA 🇺🇸 for protect allies
Woo, thank god we are allies. Much love from UK.
A great lesion for all of us to remember each and every day!
I was stationed at Ft. Wainwright in 1996-1999. I remember going to the field at Ft Greely. Good times.
Very informative and interesting. Thank you all.
I want to commend the professional level of reporting from this reporter. Great piece. Very well done.
I always thought of Alaska as a horrible place to play soccer, I’m happy to learn we might end up living there for safety.

USA UK NATO PLEASE NEVER LOWER YOUR GUARD ITS A BAD WORLD OUT THEIR AND WE HAVE TO BE READY FOR ANYTHING.
Promise you , our military is on high alert 24/7 . We are safe in these walls . God protects us
Seeing how aggressive ... Other are ; and why .. thanks for helping the understanding and the with standing... I would support our military with every dollar I can get my hands on......
I hope someone is thinking about reopening Galena and King Salmon. Those locations had full time Fighter-Interceptors pulling 24/7 alerts. It’s my humble opinion that we need forward deployed alert birds that would of course speed up response times.
I was stationed at Galena AFS 1970 -1971 and we had F-4Es.
Ah, I was raised in King Salmon, during the F-102 & F-106 years. When you were in Galena, I was in Viet Nam. I flew the bush in Alaska for around 15 years; I've been to Galena many times - another pretty crazy place. Your take is absolutely correct. As you might know, they tore down the original Cold War facility at King Salmon, leaving an "automated" maintenance crew facility for the remaining 'remote' antenna operation. They also left the "alert cells" in place; just in case, I guess.
Love this, we just got back from Alaska!
We've been watching this front since '46.
Nothing new.
Thanks you very much VOA
Can we give a round of applause to the news anchor who got in the back seat of that fighter jet , those are some serious g's 😆
Lol , right !! I would've so passed out , had a heart attack and died . I have trouble on a ferris wheel .

@Voice of America - "Kilometers"? What's with that? In the U.S.A. we use the Imperial Measurement System, not the Metric System. 99%+ of your viewers have no idea what distance you are talking about when you say, "kilometers". Let's get it right Voice of America!
Thanks
Nice informative report Carla. And you got to fly in both an F-16 and F-35!
She is also such a good looking woman. Hot🔥
Waoh! What a messages, distinct and clear.
God bless Alaska, God bless America!
Thank God for those who had the wisdom to buy it from Russia.
Did you all in San Francisco catch that... "All the combat aircraft in Alaska cost 5 billion" That is about half of what you have dumped into that lopsided New East Bay Bridge that is being held down by gravity.
To me you're giving out a lot of very important information that should not be given out
You ain’t lyin
No worries , our military are not stupid enough to tell reporters everything and alot of the time they're misinformed anyway . I think it's more or less , one way of showing Russia , just a little bit , of what they're facing if they try anything . But we definitely have more going on than that .
This vidéo gave more information to opponents
Very cool presentation
Deterrence like this is good but it is only good in he short term. Just long enough for the enemy to imitate or find away to beat it, this approach has an end and makes things alot more difficult and intense in the long term. The approach that is needed is to kill intent or capabilities of the enemy and the earlier is always better
Flying a fighter jet is THE BEST OCCUPATION.

-20c isn't that bad. I've been on a beach with gale winds at -25c with water freezing as it's pushed in the air. I was dressed fairly regularly and only lost sensitivity of the tip of my nose after an hour or more. If there's no wind, -25c is quite easy to handle with proper clothing.
As a 49 year old VETERAN. I never could understand "WAR", ITS LIKE ADULTS ACTING LIKE KIDS, WHEN THEY CANT GET THEIR WAY.
