Thanks for the kind comment. Sadly, my editing PC decided to die so I am restricted on what I can do. Hopefully I can resolve it soon and produce some more content.
The colour codes are set by the network servers. It also enables the use of different talk groups on time slot 1 or time slot 2. It certainly would be easier if there was just one colour code but that is outside of my control.
@@TheHamRadioJunkie Perhaps I miss understood then, I thought you said it was on your repeater. So if I miss understood, my question really didn't make much since. :-)
LeRoy Miller no you are correct. I look after a repeater with DMR connectivity. The talk groups and colour codes are allocated by the main system admin. To access talk group 840 users need to program in colour code 13. To use other talk groups, each will have a colour code allocated. This is just one of the complexities of using/setting up a DMR radio. Hope that helps. Thanks for asking.
A clear and concise guide good information.very accurate.good work Keith
Thanks for the feedback. Not a simple subject to cover but we give it a go.
Cool video Kieth.
Thank Bob good to know. 👌
Nice overview Keith 👌👏👏
Cheers Mark, nice to know it’s ok.
Very clear and concise, you haven't done anything for a while ?

Nice quick guide but at the end of the day, I'm at square one. Is there a solution like "one to rule them all"?
Sadly not it really does come down to personal choice.
Just curious why use two color codes? Wouldn't that make the programming even more complicated?
