One of my all time favorite UK players. I think it’s so amazing that we won our 8th national championship with such crucial/clutch scoring by our 4 year Senior homegrown Kentucky Mr.Basketball Darius Miller. What an outstanding way to finish his career at UK. 👏👏 6th man of the year also. Could have easily been a starter.
Probably one of the proudest moments in my life (besides becoming a father) was watching this team from start to finish and win the national title. Last time they had won, I was only 3 so I don't remember that win, but this one will always be in my memory. I remember crying at the end of the game because I finally saw my wildcats win the national championship. This was also the last championship my papaw got to watch before he passed away.
The best team in Kentucky history imo, especially when you consider the talent that was in college basketball at the time. I'll always have a special place in my heart for this team. That was the funnest year of college basketball I've ever experienced. GO BIG BLUE

My favorites of yours are the Ohio st, and North Carolina games during the Knight ,liggins, Harrelson era. Love those games. One of my favorites runs to the final four ever. Thanks for making these. Cant wait to see the championship vid in April for 2015. This current team is unstoppable.

This 2012 championship I will never forget. These guys had a great season, they deserved to win and I hope they all do well in the NBA.
I never will forget this team and the way they were. Most importantly I will never forget that night. I am so proud to be a Kentuckian and to live and breathe nothing but blue. We couldn't have a better coach!

2012 UK > Back to Back 2006 and 2007 Champs, Florida > 2009 UNC. 2012 UK was 17-2 vs. NCAA Tournament teams, 9-0 vs. Elite 8 teams, 4-0 vs. Final 4 teams, and 2-0 vs. the National Title Runner Up. 2012 UK is still the only team in men's college basketball to win 38 games AND the National Title in the same season. Enough said. This UK team reeled of 24 straight wins during the season as well. Won 30 of their last 31 games. Beat everybody on their schedule at least once (2-1 vs. a good Vandy squad and only lost the third game against Vandy in the SEC Tournament Final because they had to beat a really good Florida team for a 3rd time in the same season and they would have had to do the same the very next day vs. Vandy..it's extremely difficult to beat a good team three times in one season. And they got their revenge on a really good Indiana team in the Sweet 16.). 2012 UK was dominant in multiple ways.

miller was a senior, and lamb and jones were sophomores that had final four experience and great veteran leadership when they were freshmen. i still have faith in this kentucky team, but fortunately, Cal has changed his recruiting a little bit... he now does go after some players that WILL stay. hawkins, willis, and floreal will be 4-year players. lee might be 3 years, but definitely 2. dakari would be silly to leave; remember daniel orton? i think dakari has a much better head on his shoulders though.

Should have 2 more titles after this. 2015 & 2017. To bad the refs Literally affected the outcomes of both teams. A shot clock violation that wasn’t called in the late game giving them points that shouldn’t have counted (literally didn’t follow the rules). & multiple quick foul calls during loose ball situations that kept stopping UK’s scoring momentum, also multiple non foul calls in the paint with unc players literally hacking & smacking the UK shooter’s arms & face.
For all "younger" Cats fans…Please NEVER forget Darius Miller…The Kentucky kid who grew up dreaming of wearing the Blue & White, who had to endure through the Billy G. years…Who ended his career cutting down the nets. He's my generation's Richie Farmer
