Hi I have enjoyed watching your videos on how you have upgraded your Z3. I am looking to install the Z3M centre console guages, do you have any advice on how to dismantle existing centre console and install locations for Sender units oil temp etc. Thanks.
Hi Ryan… I want to electrify my Z3 (summer 2023) and spend the winter refurbishing her. Can you advise on sequencing the work before and after electrification. Also I want my car the same colour as the Goldeneye blue it is currently the standard blue: is this a respray.
The color is Atlanta Blue (306). Before electrification, I would refresh the suspension, and consider the weight of the new setup vs the ICE setup so you get the right height.
Briefly you would need to remove Seats and the many bolts for the rear console. Make sure you get the complete setup, hoops, brackets , appropriate rear console and the correct bolts. But its literally like Lego and not fabrication required.
I’m currently looking at buying a cheap Z3 1.9L not far from me, my only concern is it’s a BMW……my dad being a car salesman has never had anything good to say about bmws and constantly says they have lots of issues….
Irrelevant the manufacturer, if the car was not maintained and cared for, it will give you issues. But for example Z3 parts are cheaper when compared to the parts of my Subaru Impreza, and the Z3 is easier to work on.
Messing with the lights will void the accreditation of a car in most countries and following the loss of insurance. The original glass has a government code for a reason. 3D printed plastic does not have the same geometry of the light ! And the same goes for all safety related parts. Wheels, brakes, windows, you name it. For the signals the color is also not optional and up to your liking, it is prescribed and part of the government accreditation!
True I would have been happier with a Z3M but they were never sold new in Malta, so I would have to import one. And besides the extra cost of the Z3M and shipping, the government would have wanted about €12k just for paperwork, which is the real blocker.

Only goes to show that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Ngl, I prefer the soft top look. Probably better in practicality and noise wise for the hard top, but soft just looks right to me. Nice whip man
That’s as clean as mine bro 🔥

I like your work very much
Great video. We're the gauges for battery and Oil plug and play
No, you would need to redirect a wire into the cabin for the Oil temp.
why put so much m badging on a base model
It makes it look faster
But it’s not. Us M enthusiasts consider you an imposter and your vehicle a fake. Nice looking Z though.
@@conradwalters6413 Who are you talking to lmao. There isnt a Z at all. Who is this imposter. Ur funny
There’s M badging all over this Z3 with a 2.0 liter engine and stock suspension… BUT it LOOOKS fast…What?!?!??
@ Michael Lewis, responding to Dion’s statement. I’m with you in regards to M badging a base model.
Does the hardtop add headroom? My head gets close to the soft top bard when it’s up
Yes, you should gain about 2 to 3 cm.
So are the side grills on Z3M roadster fake? Are all the side grills on Z3 fake?
Yes both styles have no function.
Hi, where did you get the roll hoops ?
From ebay, lots of them available and make sure you get them with the brackets - ebay.us/SvTade
Can you share the preocedure for installation os the roll bars?

Where did you get the radio from its a very sleek design and I’m thinking abt getting one for my z3
Its by a company called PARROT. Not sure if they make them anymore.

IMHO - Rag top ONLY! She looks BEST with the top down. The hard top looks cheap and an afterthought.

why didn't you just buy a Z3M and save all of this effort? you obviously wanted an M.

Steering wheel is on the wrong side bubba.
Never liked up badging cars
All the chrome should been painted grey like the rear bumper and wheels chrome and sports cars don’t go in the exterior
Schönes Auto, obwohl ich es viel lieber original mag.
Grüße, Christian
So much chrome 🤢
