- REVENGE MODE in WWE WrestleMania XIX for the GameCube is absolutely insane. Over the years I have seen some crazy storylines in WWE games. From the awesome Smackdown Here Comes the Pain ones, to the hilarious Smackdown vs Raw ones. I always love a good story mode in a wrestling game. Wrestlemania XIX was released on the Gamecube in 2003 and it featured a story mode called Revenge Mode.. and this mode is unlike any story mode we have ever seen in any Wrestling/WWE Game. A WWE story mode in which only one match takes place in a wrestling ring. A mode that features some of the craziest things I have ever seen in a wrestling game. Lets go back to 2003 and take a look at WrestleMania XIX’s Revenge Mode in the eyes of Triple H

I still play this and X8 from time to time. My cousin and I played the hell out of them when we were younger. Sadly he was murdered a few years back, so I have nobody to reminisce with, but I still can’t help but smile at the nostalgia. Ah things were so simple, good times.

I haven't been into wrestling since SVR 07. It's great to still see a community at 2020.
This is why WrestlinGifs is awesome. He is a channel only for attitude era and ruthless aggression fans. He occasionally does some pg era content but only focuses on the awesome such as summerslam 2008. He’s very relatable to many of us.
This becase wwe games still have games that you can play offline with smart creaive ain if wwe games was made this time you can bet a lot of game modes will online only access with shtty garbage sver and little to no offline
Same that was the last one I played.
After they switched to 2K as the company responsible for making the games, the games just became very bad. They don't feel like wrestling games anymore.
@Jordan Paul I think most people would agree with that. I got off of it somewhere around maybe the second one. Watched vids of it on RUclips and saw how they were beginning to change it and I stopped playing them. It shows how taking the pursuit of realistic physics etc in games will often times ruin them.
As a kid I never realized this mode had a legit story. I thought it was just Stephanie sending you to murder construction workers.

Revenge Mode is basically a beat em up story mode whose plot involves canceling Mania because Vinny Mac fired you. Wow.

WM 19 and Day of Reckoning are the closest we got to No Mercy in terms of gameplay.

I’ve always thought it would be dope if there was an open world action game that took place in the kayfabe WWE Universe, where you could play out different storylines of the past in a GTA mission-based style. I don’t know how well it’d actually work, but I’d definitely play it.
Just imagine playing as Stone Cold as you infiltrate a hospital like Solid Snake to attack Vince with a bedpan.

Using Triple H in WM XIX revenge mode is the only logical sense so you can not only bury the roster (literally!) But you put the beats by dre on Vince to take over the company.
Still looks more fun than today’s WWE games!
I always loved being able to play divas in this crazy story mode. I played this mode SO many times!
I LOVED this as a kid and with all the silly dlc the current games release this mode can easily come back

True story: A few months ago I ordered WWE Day of Reckoning for the GameCube to relive some childhood memories of my favorite wrestling game of all time and oddly enough when my order was delivered inside the box wasn't Day of Reckoning it was WrestleMania 19😂🤬. But I contacted the site that I ordered the game from and situation was sorted out and I also got to keep the game too so I got a free game out of it all so I never complained 😊

While this game mode was fun in retrospect, I remember being pretty disappointed with it as a kid because all I wanted was just a regular career mode.

The "Invisible wrestler" is an emulator issue. There's a setting you can change to fix it. Check the Dolphin wiki

I loved playing this on my GameCube as a kid, I would always use Kane or Taker, this video was pure nostalgia for me.
