I previously suspected the girl to be a Phantom Idol, but after appearing in the opening, and now this new scene, I'm 99% sure she'll be a new actual Phantom Thief member!
Hope she really is a Phantom Idol, because the main plot team have a lot of party members could fuck up a lot of character development.
@@kasumifaith3339 but doesn't the actual members currently are only like 4 members + that owl mascot? The long haired girl one doesn't even join in the story currently I think

I know that, for now, the main 4 + the Owl are the real Phantom Thieves of this game while the rest is a bunch of Phantom Idols (aka fake Thieves created by the Gacha's Power), however this purple hair girl seems to getting way more attention them before, to the point that fears me that the main 4 + Owl won't continue that way, and they fuck up their characters development by adding way more real Thieves to the storyline.
Near the end, the girl suddenly drops a notebook...that has a sketch of Wonder. People are speculating that she's been watching Wonder, but I can't help but think that, maybe, the story of The Phantom X is actually a "fiction" the girl unintentionally created and somebody brought the story to life.

She either secretly has a crush on wonder or is studying the metaverse shenanigans herself. Kinda odd she had him sketched into her notebook
I think she's onto his identity, i find it unlikely that she has a crush on wonder, since another character in the story does, and I don't see persona pushing a harem/love triangle type story lol
Considering that Owl....thing is in there too, I reckon she's probably studying them. Not like *that* but like that.
i think there was also a scene where she saw wonder with the owl when she was on the train and they disappeared, so it was probably related to that

Whatever reason she is looking into Wonder, she is doing a lot better job than Makoto did with Joker when it comes to stalking him. :p

I can't understand why they don't release the game globally at the same time. Every game that hasn't had a global launch simultaneously is either dying or has failed miserably...

I mean number 5 did appear like 3 times at the beginning of the game and she's in the opening. I guess they assume that's enough.
If we follow the pattern of every p5x thieves being a parallel version of one or a couple the original thieves, she is probably gonna be either the Futaba or/and Akechi of the game (assuming that Riko its a mix of Makoto and Haru)

none of the idols will be actual thieves in the story it seems.

It's on the flower boutique shop where you can part time job.
Go there and buy the first item ( 0 cost since quest item) and return back to the alley where the old man was lookint at the plant.

Her name is Aran Hirai. She kinda resembles Alice Hiiragi from Strikers as if she was Alice's little sister..

How many Phantom Thieves are there
As of now, there are 25. (4 from the main story, 12, from the gacha system, and 9 of the original Phantom Thieves). However, there are two more upcoming characters. (1 will be from the main story while the other one will be from the gacha system.)
4 is only canon right now everyone else is just idols

If you mean how many characters in the game are playable right now, 18 and soon 19. That includes 4 new "phantom thieves", 4 old phantom thieves and the rest being miscellaneous characters.

Royal adds more to the original Persona 5 story. Phantom X is a Spin off with a lot of new characters.

It’s Persona if they went hard with a fighting, tactical, dungeon crawling, dancing, visual novel, stage action phone game (Aigis first mission), and mousou styled beat ‘em up, then a gacha should be no different.
They're going hard like how Genshin and Honkai Star Rail go for their mobile games, this is a good thing
