While meeting a client the A-Team is confronted by Col. Decker.
A crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. When I was a kid I used to play The A-Team with friends. I always was Faceman as I thought my hairstyle kinda looked alike. Years later I got to meet Dirk Benedict and the first thing he said to me was: “we have the same hair”

Hahaha. I remember as a kid my Dad getting annoyed with how Col Decker and the MP looked so stupid. He was in the military, he made comments every time Col Decker made an appearance 😂
Not to mention how many rounds they fire without hitting or getting hurt 🙂
My favorite part in this video is when hannibal empties deckers gun then sticks it back in his holster and proceded to tell decker it took them ten years to break lynches spirit. Ha ha 🤣

I forgot how much I loved this show as a kid. I used to have A Team action figures and a play set.
The action figures never made it to new Zealand. I did have an a team jeep though
Dirk Benedict said that even though this was one of the highest rated shows for 5 years the NBC executives hated it. Men running around shooting guns, smoking cigars, blowing things up and saving hot women was too much for the NBC Coastal elites. There was a big conference of executive from all the local affiliates who carried NBC, one asked where the A-team was and Brandon Tartikov said, "Well the A-team is Hamburger and NBC is more of a filet mignon network." Dirk said they were never invited to network parties or promotional events. The show was just cancelled, no send off no wrap party, just cancelled and it was still one of the highest rated shows on TV.
That figures with NBC.
NBC should be grateful, because this show, (along with Miami Vice, Hill Street, Knight Rider and The Cosby Show) made the Peacock the most watched network during the mid 80s and saved it from all types of ruin at that time.
So was not the fact that the ratings tanked in season 4, then plummeted in season 5...Even as a kid I didn’t like season 5.
@@DW3010 The Ratings tanked because NBC changed the format of the show so that the ratings would tank.
@@johnharris6655 they were on the decline in 4 though, and the format was the same. I liked season 4. But five is almost unwatchable. I do know someone who is a big Frankie fan though. We had many arguments over BA and Frankie as kids 😄

Col.Decker is so charismatic! It would be interesting to see him and Hannibal as allies.
Yes becose Decker is giveing Hanniball a hard time when chaseing them and is a tough nut,in the intreduction of him I think he states he isent there to judge anyone but to do a job and yes he is infact quite sympathetic to Hanniball at times

@@joshuaburris6805 Actually he was Elvis's stunt double in three movies, but he also played a tambourine on the side of the stage for one Elvis TV special. So he wasn't really a musician or band member, but he was one of Elvis' crew. Pretty cool though. He also had a reoccurring role as a Marine Corps Colonel in MAGNUM P.I.

Peppard was happy that the 'A-Team' went against the Hollywood Establishment in all sorts of ways. Actually no one dies in their constant gun fights and explosions always surprised me. It was fun mindless entertainment.
I suspect the entire cast loved going against the Hollywood snobbery, even though it meant they didn't get the respect from NBC that they deserved. Considering that NBC was against them, they put on a remarkably fun show.
This was one of my favourites as a kid. I do remember there was actually an episode where someone died; part of the storyline if I remember right, but it was a bit of a shock at the time. I must have been 9 or 10 maybe
The A- Team the only programme where no one gets hurt or killed. Cars flipping over after an explosion and people walk out as if nothing had happened.
Not true one time Murdock got shot.

No, actually Col. Decker was to the A-Team what Lt. Gerard was to Richard Kimble on The Fugitive. His job was to catch the A-Team, not determine whether or not they had been framed. Nevertheless, it was still fun to see the A-Team outsmart him.

Decker must have seen Murdock this time, he was already hiding when the 4 of them were together.
If you read the trivia on The A-Team show, apparently Peppard didn't want any women working with the team on the show with him. Personally I thought both Amy Allen and Tawnia Baker were great additions to the show.
Peppard was a very fine actor, but a total pill who never quite got over not being a bigger deal in Hollywood. Having Amy was important, because she was an audience surrogate. Replacing her with another attractive brunette made Peppard's argument for him that women were extraneous eye candy, but having a civilian ally made the Team more likeable.
@@billslocum9819 Peppard had an issue with women I believe. Just looked at all his failed marriages. It's true that he probably resented not getting over in Hollywood however he had a lot of issues, an attitude problem, being a drunkard certainly didn't help early in his career. Nonetheless I think he redeemed himself with The A-Team show and revived his career, but I think he wasn't pleasant on set, judging from the comments from Dwight and Dirk.

I love this show. Easily one of the crime dramas ever. Right up there with Law and Order: SVU, Chicago PD, Walker, Texas Ranger, I will even throw in Las Vegas and Hart to Hart. All of these shows are outstanding crime dramas. Hannibal Smith: I love it when a plan comes together. He ALWAYS that😂😂😂😂😂; I don’t even know why Decker tries. The A-team ALWAYS escape and Decker gets tripped up as we say😂😂😂😂😂😂
