12.15 minutes of priceless advice, I have a 20 year old cheap 1m level that I've used for things such as levelling concrete and hanging shelves, never been sure about it's accuracy and wanted to buy a decent one but hesitated because of the stories of inaccuracy even on premium levels, so now I'll try before I buy with confidence ! thanks
Hi Hoobz, I have an old spirit level that I inherited from an old brickie who died over 20 years ago. After seeing this I'll have to go and check it, even though it rarely gets used.
Good advice , everything sideways I've ever put together I blame the level ...you do gods work...see what I did there ,carpentry and all😂, good informative vid
This is good advice and have been doing it since I can remember. I do it with squares too. I draw all over their shelves and floors with pens and markers. Fuck 'em. The only comment I've ever gotten from a store employees is "wise man".
You'd think that they would make them adjustable so that you could calibrate them? I have a mate that got some paint, tray and a roller then went and painted that hardware stores toilet 😁
I was thinking about them being adjustable too 👍🏻 I made a long ally straight edge level myself that was adjustable, over 15yrs ago. Broke it after a month or so and never made another 😅 You mean this actual store? 😅

Well... I have bought a lot of levels in my life and never once thought to test them or even knew how so thanks for the video.
Try it out and report back if you could.
Be interesting to see 👍🏻

Thanks. Love it.
There's a saying I've twisted a little;
A poor tradie blames his tools --- A rich tradie buys new ones 😅

Hahaha. Love it. Glad you do it too.
I do it with squares also and have an episode coming with that in it.
Cheers Dave

@@3220Maintenance same company, different store. He didn't charge them 😁
Years ago they were adjustable, not any more it's all about consuming more products.
