I set it up with Gradio. It's pretty easy. The speach recognition is really amazing actually. I tried using my shitty laptop mic from over a meter away, and it could understand me perfectly
You should try implementing py speech recognition, it's a little more fun than typing 🤟! This is the wave of the future and personalizing your assistant is definitely coming!

Role playing is certainly the most fun thing to do with OpenAI's chat bot. The possibilities are endless. Bonus: Role playing vastly improves the effectiveness of the chat bot's support with all kinds of tasks. Assigning a specific role to the chat bot should always be the first step, e.g. "As an expert software developer, explain XYZ to me." Or "Explain XYZ to a person without knowledge about the subject." Assigning the optimal role to the chat bot will massively improve its helpfulness.
Cool, next update on this could be expanding it to take "Spoken" instructions/input by the user. instead of the old clunky keyboard. AKA scotty in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. when he picks up the mouse and speeks into it, to communicate with the old PC. not realising it's a mouse.
Amazed by the output here. Was the response really as quick as it showed in the video or did you cut out some of the wait for the voice to generate? Because if it's that quick, there could be some incredible uses of this. Especially if it is combined with Whisper.
Don't know how exactly this one was made, but ChatGPT (homepage) - there is option to pay for pro version and that gives faster responding time (at list- they promises 🤷♀️)

How can I assist you today." 🙂. Try it.

But my video shows that totally different character types can exists in a single dialogue output. You will also get accidental mix of types which in best case will give unexpected interesting lines. Most of the job is required to keep discussion going on deep details avoiding superficial glishe talking.

Yeah there is a delay. I did something very similar to this and there is a bit of a delay. I also did a face avatar using d-id and that introduces even more than a delay. You need to edit out the delay to present to people.
@@mattizzle81 I'm thinking that for an assistant that talks back, i mostly only want it to acknowledge my commands and give me simple answers if a couple sentences I will be trying 11labs for that I just want chatgpt to summarize my thoughts. So its a vocal notebook of sorts I think it should be possible to set a max characters limit on the response. Sending a message through whisper takes just a few seconds
I implemented something like this with Whisper + ChatGPT + ElevenLabs and yes, I had substantial latency. I’m curious if the OP managed to avoid this, or just edited it out of the video.
@@AaronHarnlyAmplify seeing as op didn't even mention latency i think he wants to capitalise on the extra engagement garnered from peoples excited overestimation of the app's capabilities I'm going to try 11labs with a 200 character limit or less. But i will add a toggle switch for the characterlimit. With whisper you could technically control your interface as well, because of how precise it is.

Ive had this Chrome extension for a couple of weeks now: voice-control-for-chatgpt works pretty well, voice to text and text to voice.
@@wpociej We have Whisper API now. Just use the webcam microphone, record the voice message, send it to whisper, get the text back and send it to gpt

the chatgpt api is very cheap. Eleven labs is most expensive. but for short commands it not bad :)

@@VesnaMackovic you probably need to give more detailed description of personality types, color them a bit and also guide GPT along the discussion. But my video shows that totally different character types can exists in a single dialogue output. You will also get accidental mix of types which in best case will give unexpected interesting lines. Most of the job is required to keep discussion going on deep details avoiding superficial glishe talking.
Can you reverse engineer what Athene is doing with his "Athene AI Show" parody please. This is already a part of it, but how the hell does he do the body and lip sync so well?

Doesn't the 11labs voice take 10-20 seconds to generate? If it has to speak a whole paragraph, you'll end up waiting quite a while
Yeah there is a delay. I did something very similar to this and there is a bit of a delay. I also did a face avatar using d-id and that introduces even more than a delay. You need to edit out the delay to present to people.

Sending a message through whisper takes just a few seconds
I implemented something like this with Whisper + ChatGPT + ElevenLabs and yes, I had substantial latency. I’m curious if the OP managed to avoid this, or just edited it out of the video.
@@AaronHarnlyAmplify seeing as op didn't even mention latency i think he wants to capitalise on the extra engagement garnered from peoples excited overestimation of the app's capabilities
I'm going to try 11labs with a 200 character limit or less. But i will add a toggle switch for the characterlimit.
With whisper you could technically control your interface as well, because of how precise it is.
