but we didn't lose Hip Hop, its ours!"
Agallah is a Real New York Nigga!
Slummy New York where Hip Hop originated.
thats just some youtube compression shit
its funny people diss dipset, but love agallah for making real hiphop...its all the same....just the people on top gunna get hated on. With that said everyone in dipset is hott. and agallah is a hot rapper/producer
i 1st commented on this video like 5 years ago. man where did the time go :(
Still wondering...
6 years later
AGALLAH niggas like you help made me the man I am today through the music. One of principle, integrity, and strong character. Grew up with the 8-off Agallah ad from The Source on the wall, to Grand Theft to Purple City to now...Official never dies
Brah that grand theft is where i first heard’em from
Primo with that Shyne PO T-shirt yo!!
In the Bay you don't want no problems . Them dudes will solve'em . Just ask 2 chainz .
Agallah is an underground legend. He been around everybody, BCC, Dipset, you name 'em. Good to have people like him around.
The fact that Premo produces him here shows real recognize real.

agg - the most underrated of all time?
alright, best new york song
Big up Brownsville, still here Ag... I won't let em forget.
I'm from Croatia, and Agallah killed on this track! He is awesome! Real rap, can only make real rappers, like Agallah, Sean P, Dj Premo, Krs-one... Whole my life i will listen to rap, no matter what, no matter how old are this songs... this never dies! Can't wait to come to Chicago next year :PP
THE BEAT SUCKS THO
yee shine
If you think this is the end
This is only the beginning
It's that New York rider music
We playing for keeps
Damn one of the best joints i ever heard from Agallah!! Bring it Back NY!!
At the end of the day he can still spit better than you, i would advise you to go put some work in & stop smoking dank 2 rap. see if you still wanna do this shit study the game old & new and most important of all recognize flavor + flow as its the back bone of all hip-hop from coldcrush 2 ultra and all the way to premo. Having heart is good & deserves props but you will get so much more if you learn all the angles. Peace
it's not about proving you wrong its just about you being pretentious & not recognizing that on a subconscious level you would like to see hip-hop die, give sum credit for flow. If you can do better, which i very much doubt, a 42-year old man would be able to retire knowing that hip-hop was in safe hands. P.S. have you heard the radio in recent years this shit would never get any were close 2 air play HONESTLY. What you are saying is that premo makes pop shit
would you prefer Premo to make record with half hearted artist stuck in a time when they did have a record out & were still novices. If so you must realize that premo would die within the modern industry thus causing the total death of real hip-hop music. If you listen to Agalah's LP this may be the only dope track on it for you, but thank god the new jack fans of Agalah get to hear some real beats. If the shit stays to underwater its gonna drown.
yeah dawg the foundry is in the US the birthplace the motherland but we all know real hip hop is underground in the US and yaal turned down graff artists and the turntable movement too what 2 say bout breakdance long dead in the us u know france is the second place in hip hop after US?? but evrbody knows europe keepin all the elements in hip hop much love US we need unity to keep the real shit alive ::PEACE::
lol of course u never been too europe homie travel and compare first then talk wiv sum one who travled around the world and saw wiv is own eyez and what if in france they speak french??? all around the world and im sayin almost all around the world are rappers that are rappin in their own tongue
How can you disrespect to U.S. hip-hop when hip-hop music is what you clam to be into? just look at your you tube activity. if you think your more original than the creators of the music you listen to i suggest that you put your crack pipe down.
naah homie do ur research only if u didnt go there i wuz in canada toronto at sum festivals is cool but not like in france man in france they raw dawg raw as a mutha and i didnt see other elements developin in canda only Mcing and a lil bit Djing
yeah but u know hip hop is worldwide we need UNITY in hip hop not only US or europe all real hip hop heads all over the world must unite for defendin and representin that positive real hip hop that lifts the spirirt
If you ain't gangsta, we will reveal you...preme!
good ol aggie
If you like artists like Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def, Nas, and J. Cole, I think you'll like my music too. Check out my singles “Microphone” and “Calm Before The Storm”, and tell me what you think. Any feedback is appreciated. I promise I don't disappoint.
word sanjaun. brother Aga look a bit like Pootie Tang, in the best of ways doe!...Preem gave him his best beet in years. You can hear every word the brother sayin in the rhyme: this wasn't fashionaboo in '06 and still ain't. Bring it back sons.
BABYGEEZ YALL NEED TO HOLLA @ A KING!!!
Love premo, love new york real shit, but i think this track was slow n' kinda...yeah, with some more hooks and cuts, and Guru's monotome voice, this woulda be better, props to premo tho, keepin real! PEACE
One of my feet has gone to sleep
dude take it easy, nappy hair is also known as bad hair n dat does not mean its a bad thing, u making it a bad thing
n no im not black or white im puerto rican
Syhne and aggalah doing a collabo... Too late.. But this would be the shit produced by premier... Bomb!
Agallah's Puerto Rican too lol, he got good hair, not u kno nappy? not offending black people lol, but for real his hair is good, check out his myspace..
Its a matter of preference whether a song is good or not. I tend to think this is a dope track - definitely not Primo's best and Agallah comes correct.
My man looks a bit like Pootie Tang but Preem's beat is like 'Hard to Earn' era, the illest. And Agallah responds, carries. bangin'est collab in awhile.
yeah in europe the roots are alive in the US this gangsta image took all the essence of hip hop
That's what I've been wondering too man. I think it is from what I can work out. Would explain why Premier was down with a DipSet member.
oh yea i remember wen they shot this video they did it in my block. Right in Prospect lol
i'ma have to ask ag what he thinks of this track. in comparison to his other joints.
i find the beat puts me to sleep.
I wouldn't go that far to say its wack but as far as Primo's other stuff, this lacks the energy I'm used to from him
Damn I remember listening to this exact video almost 20 years ago on RUclips lol
@TheSeven45 kid rock is good music im open minded to different music but i dont listen to trash shit like lil wayne i fuck wit rakim wu tang clan and nas u know sum elzhi tech n9ne immortal technique sum joe budden and the rest of slaughter house cormega AZ scar face outkast i think i know my hip hop pretty well sum pete rock cl smooth bone thugs eazy e what u know bout that nigga lol
This beat is sick! It has classic Gangstarr all over it. Apparently you're not too familiar with Guru/Premo's forte of chilled, jazzy, heavy bass production and laid back rhyme style. Listen to the man: "New York Rider Music" (laid back, smooth). Secondly, Agallah formerly none as 8off The Assassin is one of the oldest active Gangstarr Foundation affiliates. 8off is ill! Check out his other work before you judge him. He's one of the underground scenes finest.
I don't hate America at all and I agree that some of Europe is heavily influenced by American culture. Most of the problem is with American foreign policy (bombing the shit out of innocent people and calling it a 'war against terror'). Also, in Europe Americans are often seen as arrogant and rude but you can often just put that down to a culture clash and a different way of presenting yourself
@nakabar RZA made 4 of the best hip hop albums of all time (36, Only Made 4 Cuban Linx, Liquid Swords, Brooklyn Zoo) and the Ghostface Album is a near classic. Tell me another producer that made 4 classic albums that still stand up today. Not one in rap man. Give him his props. No one is making hot sh*t anymore its just where the game is at.
Some of you guys need to come out of the closet & admit you sum backpackers.
Brownswille is defenitely in da hauz. Bummy Davis, Zab Judah, GZA, Masta Ace, Agallah, Red Holzman, Shannon Briggs, Larry King, OGC, RZA, Saigon, Pearl Washington, World B. Free, Fly Willaims, Tyson, Buckshot, Smoothe da Huslter.
Any West Coast project where u at?
@78donjon Real close, but I wouldn't say classics. Excellent albums for sure, just not quite on the level of the first Wu, Liquid Swords, Only Built 4, the ODB album. Splitting hairs tho, I'm sure lots of people would disagree with me. They're excellent no question.
ay homes could yu tell me da name of the track he did on whoo kids rewind dvd dont know which one but da cover had 50 jada n sum mo people fifty wuz talkn up against a blue lexus n the dvd ag said sumpthin bout runnin like jordan in barcelona spain in da track
He's playing it safe.....LOL... He ain't stupid. He knows NY ain't got the only live ones. I love NY was born there but I am also intelligent to know that you got real ones EVERYWHERE. That's why he reps Houston, Detroit, LA, New Orleans, in this cut. That man has to tour! Lol He don't want no beef.
The beat's dope, as expected, but Agallah doesn't really match the mellow tone set by Premier. I love that Premier is always scouring the earth looking under rocks for hungry young emcees who foam at the mouth when they're on the mic. Props to Preme. I agree with byron84...living legend.
tight tight tight.
and of course the beat is fuckin' awesome .. dj premier, what more 2 say.
Agallah's done some good shit in the past. For all Premo has done, this definitely isn't his hottest beat either. It's still better than just about anything else coming out these days, but for the best producer ever, he's come much better.
i like that song crookie monster. but i agree hes nothing special as far as a lyricist goes. not that im the unofficial rap master or anything. also i agree with 313 this beat is dope premier is my favorite dj of all time.
dont u think its amazing how everyone has different views on beat n lyrics! i think beat is different n pretty sweet but i do not like the lyrics! noopppeee ..there is no set formula why music is the best :)
Eh, he's been stayin kinda busy on the mixtape circuit. Actually, the only way I can stand his style is when he guest-spots on Sean P's ish. He just doesn't have enough to carry a whole track, let alone a whole album.
@aderuno nodoubt...im sayin cali...people just cant enjoy the song....its a dope joint.
and there is nothing wrong with opinions. but hate and opinions are 2 different things..you know what in sayin?
I know I'm not the only one on this planet who thinks MC Eiht belongs on this beat. If MC Eiht rhymed on this beat, it would be some ol"Music to Driveby"-type joint. Ugh, this beat is the illest.
damn not 2 many peeps seem 2 like 8off. i like his lyrics. but havn't checked much of his shit
i dont like him hes got no flow its like hes just talkin over the beat. if he rapped about a different topic and worked on his flow there may be some potential but i doubt it'll happen
I don't like him... Primo got way better players on his squad than this dude, he tryin to hard on his delivery, instead of just letting his words flow, he tryin to force them out.!
@truckedupcurb u better go listen 2 some country shit and leave rap 4 the real hip-hop headz
Agallah is a underground legend who is more hip hop than anybody out there. Salute to the Don.
@palmares77 hes reppin other areas cause shits real everywhere, hes not afraid that if he doesnt shout other cities hes gonna have beef there when he tours there...
my westcoast homies rep L.A from Watts to Compton,in the Bay you dont want no problems them dudes will solve em...........damn sounds like plenty of PROPS to me............
bit disapointing imo preem and agallah can do way better then this
sounds a bit like a earlier Juste Juxx . sorry for comparin but never heard him befor !!
@MysteryMixes Not at all, get out of here with that garbage - its the Purple City chain
Primo: this is all real... if you think this is the end... this is only the beggining!
I thought so too, but I seriously doubt it. Theres no connection between them at all LOL
@MrDubbelA ...suckers will burn for disn. this real shit..im with you...this is one of the hardest beats ever and agallah came with it........historic.....
this classic priemo on point ...BUt the lyric lack depth and preccision...and drag that monster trak... that trak is for a heavy weight preferrably Scar-face
thats jim jones older brother lol yeah thats the real hip hop yall talking about getting robbed, killing, yeah sounds nice reminds me of other music as well
Too true, same in Australia dude. Real heads in america know that this is true. The people who disagree are the same people who bump fuckin rick ross and 50 cent.
Agallah used to go by the name of Eight-off........trust..dude is nice....writtens and off da dome!!! Peep unsigned hype when he got that shit in the 90's.
its still a business fam.... I bet this dude paid Premo MAD loot for this track, dope muney, I would've made his ass a track too if he paid me crazy paper
This is almost as weak as Jim Jones :(
I hear your boy spitting NY but he sounds like a Hill Billy.............
Premo must have been bored.........
I don't give a shit if the lips match or not this is pure fire!
lol agallah aint nothin special. but his best song gotta be "risin' to the top", which got big when he let grand theft auto 3 use it in the game.
cant fucking find this song on internet, damn i must have it.. on limewire and on blubster he dont find the song :@
anyways awesome song, _/
front squad !!!!!! homie this is where it goes down . from the best movies and show to da most bangin beats and tightest flows in rap/hip hop
@ingleside95 Yeah I don't get y some people hate this track. They don't know that lost flavor I guess. His energy on this shit is unreal.
agallah is pretty sick, if ur into his style. I got both his albums n there alright. hes not a benefit or godwon but hes got a good style.
this beat is sick! that late night 2am riding through the streets of strong island shit ready to jump out the car and smack sombody!!!!!
He was the Source magazine's Unsigned Hype around 92-93 as "8 Off the Assassin."
lol, the cats that'll complain about thelack of hip hop will bump this shit in a minute and this shit mirrors the shit they hate smh
Too slooooow and lyrics are all over the place, but much much respect to dj premier and Agallah because i know Agallah can do better.
dude must be rich... he convinced preemo to make a beat for his wack skills? no surprise its by far premier's sleeziest beat.
i listen the song for 1st time it's sick another great beat Premier what focking crack here stay forever ! underground forever.
i personally dont feel agallah at all, he also droped some straight wak shit on Jus Allah's album All Fates have changed.
