Jeffie Bear the windshield is large so you can look forward the rearview mirror is small because you just glimpse back

I like that philosophy - keep looking forward because the glimpse backwards can drag a person down and as you say things I want to do and the past is the past - some of us learn from it and others, it's just harder for us. I love you close each video you make and share with us. Back at you...........Luv - mla

Jefffffie! Your photography is next level here! The way you positioned yourself of to the side... 💯! I feel like you look healthier and and happier every time we see you. That view just takes my breath away and the bird choir in the back complete the whole mood. I think your story is proof positive you're likely a long suffering faithful friend. I think you've found a new place to minister to others drawing from your past. God has a way of filling in the holes in unexpected and perfect ways. I'm going to remember in my prayers Jeff - I just think you're a gem and I pray your family is lead to discover that again. In so sorry about your dog 🐕. That's heartbreaking.

This was a great sit down fireside kinda' talk... I enjoyed it and thank you for putting it together Jeff. In 2009, I myself had a heart attack which resulted in an emergency triple bypass surgery that almost killed me as well, I was a big guy with type 2 diabetes and a huge mess of other health issues. Long story short, I got thru it, I made changes to my life, stopped smoking, stopped eating fast food, lost 230 lbs... now I'm on the road with two cats in a very small trailer and pickup truck, loving life...
I find your story inspiring, heartfelt and real... That's what keeps me coming back, bless you my brother and thanks for sharing your life with us! :-)

I have 7 grand kids and 3 more borrowed grandsons. Im truly blessed. Your words help me stay grounded and hopeful that someday we may pass each other on the road. Leep doing what your doing. When I lost my forever/all my heart job it was so hard, but it was a really good thing. I hadn't realized how much of me I'd given over to the job. No it's time for me, my little family, and some enjoyment. Thanks for the coffee talks!

My Grandmother always said, "We're not promised another second, much less another day. Live everyday the best you can". She lived 29 days before her 99th birthday. I spent every second I could with her and Grandad since the day I was born(lived with them til I was 5yrs) and was sitting with her when she went to spend forever with Jesus. Strong believer the next life is much more peaceful than this one💖 New to The Van Life Community and it is a pleasure to get to know you. Much love and hugs!

I knew I loved you for a reason bc I can relate to you so well. I am a recovering addict for 5 years now thats after a 2 year relapse I was clean for 12 years b4 that. My family totally wrote me off and that was that but now my father and my sister let me back in there life the only one thing I lost was my mother she was not the best but she was my mom and she became my best friend and she has dementia now and can not see me become the woman she would have wanted me to be! I am just like you and I think its bc we are fighters! We hold alot in but me and you JB WE fight for what we think is right and believe in. Gosh I live in the States Rhode Island I really hope to meet you one day! ❤❤ love to my JB

There’s no discrimination of your race, age, gender or your past.. we are all on the same boat at this point in time and got to help each other out as much as we can. It’s one big family ahaha! What a beautiful place your at today and the picture quality is very good. I can relate when you talk about your kids. You can wish all day long about changing the past, the fact remains that it can’t be done. So you move on and try to be a better person and hope for the best. I find it soothing to watch your videos which I do late at night. I can tell you that you are serving a purpose and for that reason your followers are growing.
I agree about people throwing their trash out. I have no understanding how someone can do that and not feel guilty. Living and traveling in the states I see it all the time. Plastic bags and other trash in the creeks and on the sides of the road. I think 30 second spots on TV and radio could help a lot. Many years ago they did that. Thanks again JB

Before the internet was public, I used to run a remote electronic bulletin board system (RBBS or BBS) where people could exchange messages, photos, games, etc., and talk about various topics. I called the folks who used my RBBS my "faceless friends". I ran mine from 1980-2002. The BBS community often felt as close or closer than people I had in my day-to-day life. I enjoyed my faceless friends. RBBS and BBS collaborators made this type of forum possible.

You're a good man, Jeffie Bear. My brother was a director of operations for a rehab facility in California and I worked for him as a house manager. I met so many people from all walks of life, from wealthy clients to people who were homeless. The job I had was challenging, interesting, totally rewarding and I loved it. After retiring from the military, I wanted to work jobs that I could learn from and enjoy. Being a house manager was so rewarding and even after eight years since the facility closed (owner passed away) I still communicate with several of the clients on Facebook. People have their issues and often make decisions that affect their lives adversely; some don't recover well or not at all but many now live highly productive lives. You have done well and I'm so glad for you. I will soon become a van dweller after an emotional commitment is finished and hope I get to meet you, Chrome, Emi and others up there during my travels. Take care and Godspeed.

Wow. I like listening to you talk. Your someone I would and could see myself sitting and talking with you for hours. I'm in NY but if I ever make it north I would reach out. Van life is the best for you. It's probably what keeps you sober and mentally healthy. Your a great guy!

It is total synchronicity that I am making a connection with you today. I've seen you a few times on the channel of the guy with the boy bulldog. I wasn't pulled towards you then, probably because I never heard you really talk... and now I feel honored that I am on this planet at the same time with such a multi-layered, spiritual, and down-to-earth person. You exude a sense of satisfaction with the meanderings of your life journey and gratitude for the unfolding of personal lessons and your recognition of kindnesses along the way.
You mentioned your sense of awe with people and comments. I'm feeling a sense of awe with you and how you gather your history together into a story of appreciation and service.
I presently live in a 16 ft cargo trailer in a Connecticut winter with a 3-pound lop-eared chocolate bunny. I've always been a glass-half-full person and yet in the last year particularly I've been filled with a sense of contentment and appreciation for the wonders of this existence. I portage water and poop and propane daily and find such bliss about the strength of my almost 80 year old body to sustain this type of Independence. I'm on a very low standard of Social Security due to giving 2 weeks notice to a fancy social work job at 49. I was raising two daughters on my own and the year they moved out I could no longer kiss-ass to a non-spiritual government social work career. Selling the house barely took care of student loans for the three degrees. So I started West with an old dog in an old van called Geronimo. With no regular income. People supposed that I had a lot of courage. But I had reached a level of mediocrity that was only repeating known behaviors. At some point, probably like you, I had to pick a lane and regestate myself into the future or just self-medicate to remain in the past. I may be a little bit like you. I call it tenacity.
I was raised as an only child named Dick and Jane...with a psychology professor stoic Catholic father. Do you think I still have a few issues left to work on? Chuckle.
The w a y we organize our story is about how we frame our sentences. And that's all about how one chooses to perceive things. I truly believe that contentment is about consciously choosing a perception that reflects some individual value.
I will be heading Northwest this year in another van... white handicapped one with stairs this time, to finish Perimetering America that I started in the 90s. I have three states left to finish to complete the book. This summer I'm aiming for Labrador and Newfoundland. And the fall will be about heading west to North Dakota and Oregon. I wonder if our paths will cross?
What a delightful morning to wake up with a possibility of a new kindred spirit friend. Holy yay.
PS. I am a third level Reiki person so will definitely be sending you a bunch of great big Reiki bubbles. xx

Hey Jeffie, love your story man! Some time life is what you make out of it, Some good and some bad. When you are having a good time, Enjoy it! and make the best of it. When thing goes bad, it just a life experiance that we all go through in life. Experance you will tell your granchildrens so that they learn not to go through the same. So just remember, live the good moment and leave the bad behind you, and never look back. God Bless my friend.
