@@slowbuildzsure, but this is the first guest with an extremely rare disease needing help funding research and treatment 🤷🏻♀️ I'd spend money I don't even have for this, especially if 50%+ went directly to the family fundraiser
Last year I had an extremely invasive open heart surgery for a congenital genetic disorder that I’ve dealt with my whole life. I’ve always been part of the family but at this time I became obsessed with the pod. I could not do much at the time so it really helped having a voice in the background. I’d even take my phone with me to cardiac rehab and would play the pod while walking the treadmill and regaining my strength. I was also the youngest person there by at least 50 years so they’d all ask what I was watching. Regardless, John’s story really hit me hard. I had my first open heart surgery at the age of 7 on top of always being in & out of the hospital. It’s hard to even find the words to describe how difficult it is for kids and their families. Imagine being 6 years old and not being able to grasp what is wrong or how it makes you feel, just knowing that something in your basic build is wrong. It’s tremendously painful for everyone involved, and kids who deal with these issues are often forced into adulthood way earlier than their peers despite not having healthy emotional coping skills. For instance, after my first surgery I’d beg my mom plastic surgery because I hated how all my scars looked compared to my other classmates. Think about that, an 8 year old not having the bliss of childhood and not caring about your body. Sorry to ramble and presumably trauma dump, I guess I just wanted to put this all to text while it was fresh in my head from the interview. I’m still working on paying off my surgery but I had to donate because I’ve benefited so much from new technology & research. Everyone deserves the chance to heal themselves. I pray his family finds healing too. He certainly has a new fan. ❤️
The John segment was so touching. I really hope that testing and technology can advance further to help his family and people in the same boat as them in the future. Much love 🫶🏻
I lost my Dad recently due to Parkinson's and to think of my kid going through the same thing... That's too much. I've donated what I can but I just wish I could donate or do more.
I don’t think xqc is addicted to the money, he’s addicted to the attention. Attention he receives from teenagers who think having loads of money is the coolest thing you can do.
He seems so incredibly insecure tbh. If he didn’t have such a young, toxic fan base with a ton of influence and cash it would be sad. I mean, it’s still sad ig but it’s also gross and dangerous.
John glows every time he talks about Francis in the sweetest way 🥹 he seems like a really sweet and genuine guy The love he has for her seems so intense and palpable
As someone who's been a longtime fan of Portugal. The Man, I can confirm that John is and always has been the humble, gracious, and compassionate person he appears to be. He's someone that lives his values. Never misses an opportunity to support his community, is always spreading love and positivity, and the charitable work he's done with the PTM Foundation is not to be overlooked. John is good will incarnate, and it sounds like his daughter takes after him. If you were questioning whether or not this family is worthy of your support, the answer is yes. So glad you guys had him on the podcast, Frances story has been heavy on my heart since they released the gofundme.
imagine ethan getting a tattoo, maybe 5 years from now, about his children or his dogs. he sits down and as soon as the needle touches him, he lets out a screech 2:19:41 . he shouts at the artist "TURN IT OFF". the single dot of ink is left on his arm as he walks out of the tattoo parlor. "IM DONE" he shouts angrily, beckoning hila to follow him to the car.
John seems like a really great dude that radiates positivity despite the hardships he and his family are going through. I get the vibe that he's the kind of guy who doesnt take his fame for granted, seems super humble.
Trying and succeeding! I think he nailed it regardless of if he first used the term women instead. Big victory and hopefully viewers adapt to using the same gender conscious language :)
The talk about hilas eating situation really resonates with me. I have an ed, sometimes I'm so hungry I can't stop eating and I'll gain up to 50 pounds in a few months. Then I'll suddenly lose interest in food and it becomes really hard for me to eat and i lose those 50 pounds rapidly. Rinse and repeat. It's extremely awful being on both ends of the spectrum, but in my opinion it's harder to deal with not enjoying food. Your body wants to reject it the entire time youre chewing and sometimes that need to reject it wins. Food is tasteless, textures all make you nauseous, and its really forcing yourself just to get food in your tummy to survive
John from Portugal. The Man is the F*CKING MAN!!! I listened to their new album and the fact that they were going through very tough times AND MANAGED to make such an AMAZING album is like the best inspiration. Ethan's intrusive thoughts doing the weird voice/accent for the "tip toe" oompa loompa music and doing it again after officially apologizing and whispering to Hila "I'm sorry for doing it again" so softly had me cracking up lol.
I loved the John interview. It was incredibly touching to hear about something so heartbreaking. Honesty this was one of the best episodes this year!! Also TF x Francis !!!!❤❤
My daughter was also born with a rare genetic disorder, Prader Willi Syndrome. It quite literally is a full time job and all hands on deck to help her manage her symptoms. Unfortunately, there is no cure for the main symptom - endless and severe hunger. We lock up all food and meals have to be so structured. I can see myself in the way John spoke of Frances, it’s such a wholesome and full type of love, that comes with an underlying pain that you wish so badly you could take away from your baby. Thank you for the discussion. I felt “seen” today by most favorite podcast. Number #1 in the whole world baby! Let’s gooooooo ❤
I don’t even have kids but every time I see a commercial for children’s hospitals I’m balling by the end. It’s so sad to think that any child would have to go through that while not even being at an age to understand it.
As a knitter and crocheter, it's not that we don't like robots it's just when something is advertised as crochet, it implies that the stitches are made by hand, it's not a big deal just kinda weird for anyone who actually does the crafts. I love how Hila addressed and updated the listing!! I'm a long time fan and am too broke to buy any items but as a fellow clothing maker, I love the designs and respect Hila's business practices so much!!! Love y'all!!!!

ethan’s thirst trap was something i never knew i needed lol
He made Perfect Example of A not An appropriate thirst trap, That cake would give you stright up salmonella 😂
I think he may have single-handedly ended the cooking thirst trap trend.
The Filthy Frank collab vibe 😂
I’m so feral for this but- was kinda hot tho 👀
@@AkiraLemonslowkey was!!!
I really love the idea of doing a Teddy Fresh x Francis collab! That would be soooo cute!
Oh my god, yes!!!! With her doodles on it! It would be amazing and some proceeds go to the fubdraiser. I am sure Hila is already on it. She does not only dress like an angel ICON, she is an Angel and an Icon 😘 a true beautiful soul ❤
@@tiapesi2738 yessss!! That’s what I’m saying!! Kid drawing type clothes are SOOOO INNNN right now! It would be such a fashion statement, along with the meaning behind it? Beautiful! And also, yes Hila is our queen B!
BUMPPPPPPPP LOVE THIS IDEA
really need this to happen asap
From a Graphic Designers perspective I felt for Cam during the L ratio debacle 😂
i was literally doing my gd homework during this segment too i was like bruh poor cam they didnt end up using any edits lol
HahahHa same - esp to ABs feedback 😂 “agree to disagree”
same... watching doing overtime on a rush project and feeling the pain haha
When the client doesn't actually know what they want so just keep asking you to make a million different versions over and over that dont get used 😂
War flashbacks 😭
Ethan killed that pizza shtick
I haven't laughed so hard in a minute
I was bawling scrolling through the go fund me seeing how much the family put towards it, I love this community so god damn much
The pizza skit had me absolutely tearing up. So funny. Ethan, ya still got it.
I feel for the guys kid. I was diagnosed with huntingtons at 18 and feeling your body slowly degrade is something i wouldn't wish on anyone.
I think that’s what willow pill has I believe
sending love your way 🙏

The John segment was so touching. I really hope that testing and technology can advance further to help his family and people in the same boat as them in the future. Much love 🫶🏻
I lost my Dad recently due to Parkinson's and to think of my kid going through the same thing... That's too much. I've donated what I can but I just wish I could donate or do more.
You can literally feel the love John has for his daughter. What a beautiful and inspiring family
I don’t think xqc is addicted to the money, he’s addicted to the attention. Attention he receives from teenagers who think having loads of money is the coolest thing you can do.
Soooooo true
He's also addicted to gambling...

He seems so incredibly insecure tbh. If he didn’t have such a young, toxic fan base with a ton of influence and cash it would be sad. I mean, it’s still sad ig but it’s also gross and dangerous.
John glows every time he talks about Francis in the sweetest way 🥹 he seems like a really sweet and genuine guy
The love he has for her seems so intense and palpable
So much no... Live local; plenty of interactions.
He's really good at faking though.
imagine ethan getting a tattoo, maybe 5 years from now, about his children or his dogs. he sits down and as soon as the needle touches him, he lets out a screech 2:19:41 . he shouts at the artist "TURN IT OFF". the single dot of ink is left on his arm as he walks out of the tattoo parlor. "IM DONE" he shouts angrily, beckoning hila to follow him to the car.
THE SCREAM I SCRUMPTTTT LMFAOOOOO TURN IT OFF
LMFAOOOO
That was an episode of Bosom Buddies. Tom Hanks.
Omg
John seems like a really great dude that radiates positivity despite the hardships he and his family are going through. I get the vibe that he's the kind of guy who doesnt take his fame for granted, seems super humble.
Not gonna lie, Ethan's thirst trap is one of my proudest fap

Ethan adjusting to “those who menstruate” super awesome adorable love to see him trying
Trying and succeeding! I think he nailed it regardless of if he first used the term women instead. Big victory and hopefully viewers adapt to using the same gender conscious language :)
Exactly that’s such a great example that highlights how much he really is progressing. He’s getting it 🥹
Ethan has great timing, when Hila was crying and he instantly blamed being pregnant for the reason she's crying it had me cackling haha
@@Empathy-and-resilience I have no idea but I wish they would stop!!
I was in tears when John said thank you to Hila for the teddy fresh for his daughter ❤
John from Portugal. The Man is the F*CKING MAN!!! I listened to their new album and the fact that they were going through very tough times AND MANAGED to make such an AMAZING album is like the best inspiration. Family show some support go listen to "Dummy" from their new album, you'll know what I mean, they definitely deserve it.
This episode was so comforting and triggering. I lost my older brother to epilepsy. He was 14 when he passed. I’ve suffered from seizures, as has my nephew and it’s god awful. I loved hearing about Francis and how strong she is. Thank you for this beautiful episode and raising awareness of epilepsy 🫶
I salute you my fellow warrior💜 it's difficult if you haven't been through it to understand just how bad it is 💜
Ethan obsessing over the tweet live on a podcast with hundreds of thousands of views and trying to make it not look tryhard is a mood.
Ethan truly you are looking so healthy my dude. You are an absolute skinny legend right now and I’m so proud of you for your weight loss journey. It’s definitely not easy.
Ethan's thirst trap was the hardest I've laughed in a long time. That was genuinely like a classic h3 bit.
More stuff like that please
I couldn't stop gagging from disgust and pleasure 😂🎉❤😅
WIAN
Poor Cam made all those memes and they didn’t get used 😂 also I was CRYING I was laughing so hard when y’all were talking about the thirst traps.
the food thirst trap tik tok KILLED ME. Good work ethan, keep it up!
If this episode doesn't win the Streamies then there are no winners.
My body ached from laughter and also from watching the woodsman. Love you guys:)
I love the way Olivia laughs when Ethan is doing something so wrong 😂😂
I couldn't imagine what John is going through. My 5 year old getting something as little as a bloody nose or being sick breaks my heart.
I don’t even have kids but every time I see a commercial for children’s hospitals I’m balling by the end. It’s so sad to think that any child would have to go through that while not even being at an age to understand it.
The balance of this episode was perfect. Family 👩👧👨👩👧👦👨👩👦👨👩👧👩👦👨👩👦👦👨👧👨👩👧👧👨👨👦👦👨👧👦👨👦👩👧👦👨👧👧
Same I was so confused when I saw crochet!! Glad it was addressed
The Francis part hit hard, but I’m so glad it happened. We laugh together a lot, crying together every now & then is a beautiful thing. Family ❤
I love how there is more and more “H3H3Productions” influence bleeding into the podcast over time
seeing hila cry made me cry. but that’s family. we cry and laugh together ❤
I’m pregnant too and when Hila started crying I cried, composed myself then John got emotional and the tears came right back
the way that the Ethan pillow looks like it's glaring at Ethan is killing me 💀
I just read this comment while watching the heartfelt moment and now I'm laughing through the tears 😂😭
Maaaan I didn’t realize Portugal The Man was still putting out music and had no idea what a kind soul John is. Adore this episode ❤❤
I actually have never laughed as hard as I did during Ethan thirst trap. Well done Ethan and Ian
i was definitely not uncomfortable at all during ethan’s thirst trap i loved it a lot
