    I never thought about the anatomy of clothing being an area of study. But now that I’m getting into the fiber arts (specifically crocheting), I’m finding value in all kinds of knowledge about anything do with fiber artistry.
    I love this technical explanation for the construction of this dress. It really helps with 3D visualization in my mind, to understand how certain silhouettes are made. It tells how much the dress maker invested in creating this dress… hats off to that dress maker!

    Just goes to show the simplest looking dresses can hide some of the most interesting construction techniques! I've never seen a zipper closure like that nor that type of wire! So fascinating 🤯

    Stunning. All the layers and fitting are why women looked so great in those dresses. Impossible to get that kind of fit in an unlined, baggy t-shirt dress.

      HA! That is SO true! Even 30 years ago I could buy fabrics from wonderful fabric stores In Philadelphia. They are gone! 😢
