(Third paragraph is about the trucks)
Finally, here it is, WM footage from Fort Worth! Fascinated by Tyler's (TheDFWTrashman) compilation, I decided to make one of the lengthiest trips yet to see some automated Waste Management action. Why did it take like...2 years? Well, when Tyler went to FW in the winter of 2014-15, I wasn't so much called, DFW Refuse. What I mean by this is that I really only went between two cities to film two companies, CWD and Progressive Waste. After I took a turn and changed my identity, I wanted to start out in areas closer to me, and then work my way out to the farther cities. I didn't mean to keep this up for a long time, and I've had my eye on Fort Worth for quite a while. Basically, I should've gone sooner, and you'll soon find out why.
Another reason was because I was having some issues pulling up routes for the city. I asked Tyler a while back for a little help, and help was given, but not explained very well, and that left me about half way there. When I found out the unfortunate news, I knew I wasn't going to be able to communicate w/ him. Fast forward about a year and a half later, when Jaden (Trashmaster15) came over to visit. Turns out, there was just a program that wasn't installed on my computer, and I had no way of knowing that it was or was not there. I exchanged some of my routes for his. Huge thanks to Jaden for the help!
From 2015 to 2017, the WM yard in FW has changed, unfortunately too much. Here's what I know as of now:
--Many pythons have been retired or moved to another location, such as Mack LE and Condor pythons. At the end of the video I passed by the location Google Maps displayed, surprised that it was actually their old location and they were in the process of moving to a newer facility with more space and room for CNG stations. In the last drive-by clip, you''ll see a couple of their Hybrid Pete 320 pythons, Autocar WX pythons, and one lonely Freightliner McNeilus RL. The place was completely abandoned, so there was no one to talk to about the resting few. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that some diesels will still be used, at least as spares, on route for when I come back in the near future.
The first truck featured is 487, with a pretty fast driver on recycling. I respected his concern when he jumped out of the cab and waved his arms around, signaling that he wanted me to stop after the first five clips. The second truck shown is 478 collecting trash. I also filmed one of the ACX ZRs, but that'll be saved for another video.
Like I said before, I most certainly will be going back for more footage. Not just WM but also for Knight Waste, and the neighboring cities that are serviced by Republic, Waste Connections, and CWD. Waste Management of Fort Worth is awesome because it's actually one of the only WM divisions in Texas that is automated in means of residential collection.
To both drivers: Thanks a billion for allowing me to video your truck(s) in action!
To WASTE MANAGEMENT, INC: Please do not use this video to correct any employees that may have falsely carried out rules and regulations on route. If you feel the need to criticize an employee, please use another resource instead of mine. These videos are taped for entertainment purposes only, for viewers that enjoy the same thing I do. Thank you!

Awesome video! Sure do wish they bought these a few years ago when the LEU was available, these would look incredible on LEU chassis instead of LR in my opinion. The first ZR was really fun to watch. Love how fast that guy operates the truck. That's interesting how the second truck had the entire half yellow tailgate instead of just the back like the first truck. Insane how these trucks have two tanks lol
Wow I had no idea they opened up a new yard. I just assumed they put in the CNG lines at the old yard. Kinda sucks they moved since that yard was there since the WMX days. Gonna go look around for where the new yard is. Next time you head out to Fort Worth, I'd love to see some footage of their new MRU FLs if you come across any.
Great job and thanks for heading out there!
Thanks dude! I figured you'd prefer the LEU over the LR lol. I think the second, more slow driver was used to his old truck, you'll probably find that out at the end of the rest of the footage I have from that day! They did have some CNG areas at the old yard, but I guess space was limited. Also funny thing is I didn't see any newer FLs while I was there, just some MR EZ-packs, which are still awesome cause I was doubting they still had them. The Lewisville yard had been buying those new front loaders to replace their Condor and Mack ones :(
Found the new yard in case you were curious. It's located at 5012 MLK Freeway, Fort Worth. Curious what the new yard looks like!
WMmaster626 Aw man I was going to surprise you but oh well...I did go to the new yard while I was there and asked if I could be shown around. Unfortunately the person that does tours was on vacation or something, but I do have some distant pictures I’ll add into another video lol.
Hahaha no idea what the new yard looks like so I'll be just as surprised with your video!
Awesome job man! I've been waiting for this. Keep up the good work.
Andrew Brysch Thanks man!
The first truck is now in Oklahoma I think. I saw it on Maps.
Nice! Didn’t think WM moved trucks outta the state but interestingly so!
@@RefuseDFW02 Yeah it is cool. The yard in Springdale has some ACX Split Experts that were moved from Chicago.
hey buddy give me the Google maps location
Really wished they used this truck it’s rare to see it in Fort Worth.
Also Waste Management of FWTX got some new CNG Pete 520 pythons, idk how many of them are but if you do see one you should make a video of them
(Great vid btw)
Thanks! I actually saw the yard on Google maps and there were none of these Mack ZRs, so I wonder if they just sent them elsewhere? I’ll definitely be on lookout for the Heils though!
@@RefuseDFW02last I heard was they gave them to frontier waste but I’m not sure the pythons I’m pretty sure just started rolling out this month they got them not to long ago cuss I remember seeing them white
Also Knight Waste Services might have gotten some Pete 520 ZRs because iv seen a couple driving around that where white
@@Tox2282 wow that’s interesting! They took a long break from McNeilus.
@@Tox2282 Oh, I've gotta check this out. Didn't think they'd ever drop the Sidewinder.
Great job brother. That was a nice Mack.
