I've been running a pair of the standard "GT35s" from MaXpeedingrods in the trunk of my E36 drift shitbox for a few years now, and they rip. Thing runs 9.6s@144MPH, and drifts very nicely. Can't complain at all, especially at the minimal price!
@@BackmansGarage Definitely! I found that on mine, I needed to use a small cylinder hone on the inside diameter of the compressor housings, otherwise the compressor wheel just barely touched the housing. At first it seemed fine, but eventually the turbo would eat itself. Once I honed out the housing a little so that the tiny bit of touching was eliminated, then all was well!
hi mate! I love your videos. I want to swap my B200E to an B230FK/FT engine... Is it easy to do? and how about the wiring, are those connectors the same or extra? My current B200E doesnt have Lambda.
Hi! Thanks 😀👍 I Don't know alot about the B200E engine. What car do you have that engine in, the 360 ? Or maybe an exported 740 or 240 ? Anyway sounds like a pre LH 2.4 engine so you will run into alot of issues with the wiring but i woulden't let that discourage you from doing the swap, but you might be looking at a lot of custom work and not so much plug and play.
Hi there, Interesting proces. I'm trying to to do sort of the thing over here in the Netherlands although not being a mechanic I need help from a local classic car garage. But nevertheless I'm trying to learn as much about my 945 as I can. Goal is to build 1 300BHP per 1000kg Volvo out of it. So serious weight reduction and probably 400 crank BHP. Why did you choose this specific Turbo? Is it a straight bolt on or do need to fabricate a mount etc.? I'm having the engine rebuild by a red block specialist and it should be capable of handling 500/600BHP when he's ready with it/ Other pistons/rod's balanced everything, different cam's, valves etc. But this Maxpeeding Turbo makes me curious!!
Im sure the Maxpeedingrods turbo is a great turbo for the money, but more than that i do not know. The turbo will not be able to work on the engine without a fully custom built manifold. Sounds like you have specific needs, I would find a specific turbo for that need and personally, I would look in the borgwarner direction for something with a bit more edge. Sounds like a nice build👍 I will let u know how this turbo performs once I get there 👍

Jävligt grymt Backman !
Tackar 😁
Love the Channel
Love the videos !!
Verkar som att vi är två som bygger detta koncept då haha :)
Mycket intressant 👍 vet du om ett sådant aggregat får plats i en 940 med original grenrör?

Been following for a while. If you have some time would you mind listing the parts for this build? been looking at building my B230F+T motor.
When its all said and done i will.
