    Really useful video! I'm also looking to replace the insoles in my Aeons, so keen to see how your test ends up. Lots pf people praise the yellow Superfeet skate insoles, but I think they're expensive.

      Yes, those sound amazing but super expensive when you don't know what you're looking for. I'm sure I'll get them eventually to test.

    Try the best insole you got and place the intuition footbed ( below the shoe ) it should help with shock absorbing without minimizing ur foot space. Not sure if u will but let me know how it goes if you do

    I'm using a brand called Sidas which I'm really enjoying. I think they were meant for ski boots, but they seem to do the trick for rollerblades too. They're a bit like the stock Razor footbeds but better quality, with more support under the arch and heel. I don't really do gaps much, so the Razors shock absorber is fine for me. They'd probably be good in big wheel set up.

    The heel cups in my Superfeet Orange snapped after a couple months..They felt great but I would avoid oranges.

    I definitely have to add or replace the insoles in my skates as there is no cushion whatsoever and I'm super lost cause my foot is flexing a lot and my feet are in a ton of pain! I'm brand new to skating and my boots do fit right like my ankles are fine but its the side of my foot cause when I try to move my feet just go every other direction, I feel maybe they're a hair big but I mean I measured and it's like I was one centimeter off from the size I bought and there isn't any curling or anything just a lot of pain when I wear them and try to actually skate cause my foot flexes severely :(

    Why not try putting yoga mat material between the souls and the boot for more shock absorption? That won't result in more heel lift nor less space for the liner, and you can still have a flatter footbed.

    • @BacktoBlading

      That's similar to the Intuition thing I have, just a flat squishy pad. Maybe a yoga mat can be thinner though. Will look into it, thanks!

      what is yoga mat? what can i put between the frame and carbon boot? in my SX Carbon? i need better absorbtion

      Suwerenny PL So, there are mats that are made for exercise or yoga that you can put on the floor and lay comfortably on. They're made of a soft, squishy material that is generally fairly thin.
      I bought one of these mats and would cut the material apart back in the day. I would cut out the shape of the boot and take the soul plates off of my skate and put this material in between my soul plates and the boot itself, and then screw the soul plates back onto the boot with this new, squishy material acting as a little bit of a shock absorber.
      I know there used to be a series that Inline Warehouse had called "Frankenboots" where they showed some ways to customize a skate and it was something they did with Valos, Remz, etc.
      I'm not sure that it would work all that well with carbons just due to the soul design on those skates though.

    I have a pair of 2014 the Rollerblade Solo Trooper and under the stock insoles i put a Dr. Scholl's Comfort Heel Gel Cushions. It helps a lot.

      Yeah? I haven't tried the Solo yet. Are they raised heel as well?

    Are insoles supposed to go inside the liner?

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  4 года назад +2

      Yes, inside the liner. Some people put them under as well, but inside at a minimum

    Can you switch the soul plates on these nuJACKs?

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  6 лет назад +1

      You can switch out the soul sliders, but I think the soul plates are glued to the skins, which are attached to the shell. I'm going to take them apart in a few days and see what I can learn.

    • @BacktoBlading
      @BacktoBlading  4 года назад +1

      No, sadly. You can find insoles pretty easily though. Just find something with no heel pad, flat is best for these liners
