Aw! I love this! I'm 20 & ever since Covid hit when I was 16 I was unable to continue to pursue ballet due to college & financial stresses. This has helped inspire me to go to an adult ballet class & hopefully continue dance.

I have not started yet because I need to get driving licence first (lot of work, stress and effort) but I’ve already contacted the only ballet school in my crappy little town and discovered that there is an adult beggining group! Ballet has always been my dream and unfortunately a teacher told me when I was really young that I had nothing to do in ballet and that it was not for people like me.. I got tired of hearing that every day so I stopped. I wanted to start again every year but I kept thinking maybe she was right, I am terrible at it anyway.. but I am happy I have found today a great teacher and I hope I will improve and have an opportunity like yours one day :)

You are very lucky as it is rare to find a teacher open to all levels of learning. "Life itself is like a dance and in order to master life, you have to keep moving." Wow. Powerful quote. Just tell your teacher about it. A lot of adult ballet courses plan some small performances e.g. I also performed in Taiwan, contemporary dance. Ask around or ask other fellow dancers and teachers. Show them you are interested and serious about dance ;) worked for me!

3 1/2 months! 😅 quite insane but my ballet teacher in Taiwan agreed and taught me pointe very carefully. Good luck with your journey! 🩰
