- This video explores the abilities, powers, and origin of the DC Comics character "Lobo." From his Pre-Flashpoint roots as the young and intentional destroyer of his own race of Czarnians, his current history as the being who accidentally fulfilled a prophecy as the destroyer of his home planet of Czarnia, having the massive strength and extreme tracking abilities to become the best bounty hunter in the DC Universe, his effectiveness and renowned reputation leading to him getting hit-man contracts from Sinestro, Atrocitus, Darkseid, as well as countless others, awkward friendships and battles with Deathstroke, Etrigan the demon, Teen Titans, Green Lantern, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Justice League, Captain Marvel, Superboy, Mister Miracle, and nearly every other superhero in the DC Comics, crossover comics with Marvel's Wolverine and Deadpool, having storylines with other brands like "Dark Horse" comics, to Lobo being a constant presence due to his extreme regenerative healing factor and functional immortality; Let's take a look at this DC Comics anti-hero, and one-of-a-kind bounty hunter that can take on any opponent. This includes a short, canon character biography and my own opinionated "Sage Rating," which I use to give ratings of comic books and science fiction characters.

The height, weight, and stats given are for the New 52 version... For better or for worse. LOL! Now whether each person, actually, LIKES that version is a point of discussion that I will stay out of... although I slightly lean towards the "classic" Main Man!
New Sage the reason why I think this channel is as good as it, all because it's impartial. It's understandable if they give no opinion at this point
Let's say they make a new Batman. Everyone Likes Batman Right? He's dressed in bright baby blue, with hot metallic yellow instead of Grey. He has a cape that can wrap around his body making him look see through. kind of like the predator or the Harry Potter invisibility cloak. He carries this long assault rifle that shoots various ammo. As well as having many many gadgets that shoot out from the side of it and the butt of the rifle and so forth. Like next to the under Barrel grenade launcher would be a grappling hook that shoots out. He's able to shoot out various snare traps next to the barrel that's able to shoot rubber bullets or balls of Mace. And don't you worry! He will still have the dark and brooding personality of Batman! He just cracks a whole lot more jokes is all.......at this point...... I don't know! It just seems like I wouldn't have to explain my point as hard here. Because it seems like more people would be on the side of "Your disgracing the original vision of the character!" no the creator of this terrible abomination can say, "I tried my hardest to stay close to the original character. I just thought that this was a version of "Batman" that this new generation needs!" I imagine you would think to yourself after hearing that mouth diarrhea....... well he does have all of Batman's trademark weapons. And he does hit all the same character bullet points. However it just seems like this douchebag never read a comic book that he liked from Batman. Which begs the question why would you do a version of Batman to begin with. Now at this point you probably think I'm doing the straw man defense. I am actually just replacing Batman with Lobo. So there's a difference between the strawman defense and what I'm doing here. I'm saying the lump of schitt's who did the Lobo New 52 never read a lobo comic book that they like because the Lobo they created is completely way off to the left different! He's closer to Slade than he is lobo. Now does this character seem like a good idea individually? yeah I suppose I guess I don't know he's too close to Lobo for me to criticize at this point. I do think Slade Wilson is okay. However that is nothing like the original character that real fans of Lobo fell in love with!!!!!!! That's my whole point

Lobo is a sorry character to me since I found out the creator of the character is a cry baby.. So they made him everything the creator would like to make him happy.. Did you know Lobo was intended to be a satirical version of Wolverine and that he's Stan Lee's favourite DC character.
Yeah Lobo is a unique individual to say the least. As for his strength, it has mostly been shown to be par on with Superman as well as Etrigan the Demon. Lobo also went toe to toe with Captain Marvel (Billy Batson).

The problem with New 52 Lobo is that the writers tried to play it completely straight. Lobo isn't meant to be taken seriously. He was created as a parody of the grim-and-gritty, over-muscled, snarling, Rob Liefeld-inspired characters that were big in the 90s. To take a character like that and try to play it straight is to completely miss the point.

Pre retcon Lobo could make spores if his body completely destroyed. They indefinitely travel to a hosts body, merge with then breed a new body for Lobo. I been reading comics for a while. I never heard of any charcters healing factor being this impressive.

I think they reset Lobo's origin back to the pre-nu52 version in the new Justice League of America, having killed everybody on his planet via a science project when he was told by Tribb he was too stupid.

Aww, you didn't mention how Neron, King of Hell and Satan of DC, specifically had Lobo sentenced to the Labyrinth because he didn't want to deal with that shit, and had a fake version of him running around in space just so people wouldn't think to come looking for the original to free him.
