    Ok. So I’ve been clueless to the fact that you’re a Zman guy, but now that I know I’m excited to learn some tips.

    Dude you are a great teacher. You’re also good with the camera, your content is well thought out / written, and once get going, you are succinct enough i do not tire of you. Great voice, too. Also, as this pair of videos perfectly demonstrates, you WANT our involvement. That necessarily means you do not believe yourself too good for us. I will stick with you where i will not most fishing guys whose egos seem too inflated. Ott is good like this too. You share your mistakes, what you learned and how, etc. You’re easy to listen to. And you bring us good content, too. Awesome job!

    Wow this is the first video that explains why I suck at rigging elaztech swimbaits! I still caught a ton of flounder despite my janky rigging but boy the look of it triggered my OCD! Will definitely try the gentle approach. And I just bought a bunch of Turbo Fattyz from one of your last videos. Swimming and dropping a swimming worm into lily pad channels has been a killer technique for me. So I am eager to see how the Fattyz performs versus the other brands I have been using (mostly Gambler). And your daughter is in my prayers. 🙏

    Yeah there's definitely a bit of a learning curve with the Zman baits and took me a few times to get it right....me having to fish on a budget,Zman has always been the best for me because like you mentioned, I can catch so many fish on one bait and that does save on the wallet.. great video!

    Thank you so much MB for the rigging elaztech 101 class. That’s just what I needed, I already feel more comfortable rigging it.

    Thanks Miles. I had given up on a lot of the Zman products because of the difficulty of proper rigging. So glad you have done this. It really isn’t that difficult once you know the proper technique. Will be using more Zman plastics in the future.

    Excellent video! Elaztech is awesome but these tips are critical to proper rigging. Try cutting the top wire keeper off the Jackhammer. That 2nd wire makes rigging a bear and it doesn't really help keep the bait any more than just the bottom one. With the Evo, they got it right... that combo of the wire and the lead is better than glue. Maybe they'll do a Jackhammer EVO next with improvements based on lessons learned.

    Z man is my main bait, it will out last all other baits, I've caught so many on just 1 bait, I know that your sponsored by Z man, but I've found that a ewg style jig head is best when fishing everything but grass, I use owner finesse ball jig, it's texas rigged, there are others that are good also! Hope you have a great year, I used to watch you years ago, it was you & another guy for bass pro!👍

    you should talk about how that stuff reacts with other plastics (soft and hard) and will melt things in your tackle box if not stored properly.

    Quick question: what size Diesel (?) minnow was that? And what size and weight jig head?

    • @SonarFishing
      @SonarFishing  6 месяцев назад +1

      It’s the 4”. The size and weight Jighead really depends but 1/4oz is a good size overall

    Great video. Thank you. Does the ElaZtech material take scents or dyes without melting together? How well does it take the dye or scent if it can be used?

    • @SonarFishing
      @SonarFishing  Год назад +1

      This is admittedly one of the biggest issues with ElaZtech. Unfortunately I don’t know of any dyes that work with it. When using scents I think oil based scents work best because the hydrophobic nature of them stick best to the material.

    Hey Sonar thank you for taking the time to demonstrate the SMH rigging. That was my question from the last video and I was definitely doing it wrong. Now how about your preferred Texas rigged drop shot 😊

    Just got some chatterspikes. Since they need to be stored in the original bag, do I need to take it off the chatterbait each time I switch lures?

  • @rolandburket1262

    You also can take the swimbait head and stretch it over the head to lock it in

    How do you get the super glue off the jig etc. after use?

      Light wire brush. Doesn't hurt lead or steel.

    Why do your videos not recommend stretching the lure before rigging? I'm pretty sure zman recommend it on their channel. They claim it makes it more buoyant and durable....but I haven't seen any other channel recommend it.????????

    Hit with heat (lighter) but briefly, just warm hook up. Too hot will melt plastic straight through.
    Problem solved
