The music video follows Bridgit trying to keep this relationship alive & doing everything in her power, while he continues to sleep. This symbolizes his disinterest of the relationship. There is also a public image thing going on in the video. The friends are using binoculars in the beginning of the video which can very well represent the media & how everyone is watching this relationship. To the public, she pretends everything is fine, even going as far as to take "selfies" with her sleeping boyfriend. It isn't until the end of the video, until she realizes her worth (indicated by the dance movies) that he wakes up. This is a beautiful song & video that overall makes a powerful statement on love & how overtime it can diminish.

The end of the video is the most interesting thing to me because it shows that the boyfriend only cares for her when they are alone (and she is being sexy). All the other experiences that they live he doesn't care at all (that's why he sleeps)
I think the ending could symbolize two things. Her being sexy could symbolize him only being interested in sex OR it could symbolize her finally finding herself & understanding her worth/embracing her sexiness. Once she does that, she sheds one last tear for the relationship before realizing she must move on. It isn't until she has cried her last tear for him that he wakes up. When it's too late.
guys listen to the lyrics....the song is about her trying to revive her love for him. She feels guilty because she doesn't feel anything for him anymore. Her love is Sleeping With The Fishes. it's kind of sweet because she's really trying but she realizes it impossible. and when she's about to leave he awakes and finds her enjoying herself and she feels free because she puts her love (which was asleep this entire time😂) to bed. she puts it to rest. and then he wakes up because he's free and the relationship is over. and so is she. but of course accepting it is hard so she sheds a tear in remembrance of the past.

So In the beginning when the doors are locked and windows it shows how the relationship is full of secrets and isn’t a very open relationship. When her friends are peering in with binoculars it represents the media trying to get information on the relationship. She took pictures with him to try to please herself and to make it seem like everything is fine. The song is called Atlantis because underwater everything is unclear and your suffocating. She does things like try to have dinner with him and try to please him, but he’s just not interested in the relationship. At the end when she’s dancing it shows that she realizes he doesn’t love or care for her like she does for him. The dancing also represents her leaving. He opens his eyes when he realizes what he had lost.

You know, the thing about this song is that when I first heard it, I was so taken aback by it. It was so different from the songs from her first album, and I loved her first album, which is why I was so excited for the second. I heard Atlantis honestly I was kinda disappointed, and I decided that it really wasn't suited for my taste, which was a shame, because I'm such a fan of hers. But THEN, one day, somehow I ended up on the song again, and suddenly I didn't dislike it anymore. I didn't necessarily like it, but I didn't hate it either. I found myself coming back to it a few times, too, because the song kinda grows on you. And then she released this music video and suddenly the true _meaning_ of this song came to life for me, and I found myself looking up the lyrics and I was so captivated by how _deep_ the song really was, and how everything in it was a metaphor. Especially the music video - everything from 3:33 is just so wonderfully executed, it's brilliant, I find myself coming back to the music video just to rewatch that one part. Something about that part is just so haunting and sad and beautiful. And the song really does grow on you. Personally I really like to listen to it while doing homework and stuff, because it's kinda of gentle with the whole underwater vibe but the beat is pretty catchy. Bridgit, you've done an amazing job with this song. I'm sorry I didn't see the masterpiece it was right away. The metaphors and everything were great. I'm really excited to see what's coming next ♥
For those of you who don't know, Atlantis was a vibrant, amazing, exceptional city that existed, but now it's lost underwater, sleeping with the fishes. This entire music video is a depiction of how a relationship can be your Atlantis - vibrant, bright, and exceptional - but even the best cities (and relationSHIPS - ayyy see what I did there) can get lost underwater. I found it interesting that when she started dancing at the end in a kind of sensual (not necesarily sexy, but sensual) way, with the least amount of clothes (compared to her throughout the rest of the video), and crying, was when he finally woke up. Possibly because their relationship could have been more physical than it was emotional - because he was asleep for all the other romantic type things, such as dinner dates, slow dancing, etc. And Bridgit mentioned that this song was about feeling numb about your feelings, which makes sense, because when you're underwater, everything is a lot more muted and unclear than what it is above water. And I think the theory that her friends could represent the media is very plausible, but I also personally think her friends could just represent the outside world in general. It could also represent fans of a celebrity relationship. How to them, everything could be staged, but in the end we only see what we want to see, not necessarily what may be really happening.

For anyone who doesn't understand:
She puts so much work into the relationship. She just tries and tries to make it work,even with her friends's help. But the fact that he's asleep, symbolises him not being interested, him not caring, not trying to make it work, compared to her. She makes dinner, slow dances with him, but he just doesn't care. When everybody leaves. She does something she's not proud of, so she sheds a tear. She knows the only way to get his attention is by dancing, being sexy (which actually symbolises sex). So he finally wakes up. Which basically means their relationship is still standing because of the sex. In the song, she says their love might exist somewhere deep, deep "inside atlantis". She still has hope, he doesn't. Which is depressing. Absolutely in love with the song and the video, by the way :)
